  1. I would only buy a physical re-release if: 1. There were less than 10,000 printed worldwide and though not required, I would prefer it also be numbered directly on the packaging. 2. It was explicitly stated that it was "limited edition" The following are not required but would also help get me to buy it: 1. Something unique about this edition (colored vinyl, new liner notes, etc) Since I've heard all the songs on re-issues and have purchased several editions and copies through the years, I would most likely just stream the release and not even buy it if it were a digital only release.
  2. why do we have to wait so long between posts!? HURRRYYYY!!! Im getting antsy. Oh and when this countdowns done, can we start all over again? with all the new members votes? :-)
  3. Papa dont preach - shocking that it made top 10. Justify makes sense because it was a Madonna experience moment. It was the first time I had ever seen a full video, albeit censored, played on the regular broadcast tv news and tons of talk shows etc. It was discussed for weeks everywhere you turned. Drowned World IS MY #1 fave song from our gal. Sad to see it go. :-(
  4. I had read somewhere that Spanish Eyes is about the Aids epidemic taking away so many lives.
  5. of this list, my number one choice is "heartbreakcity" but that doesnt stand a chance as a single. Im voting for Unapologetic Bitch because I can actually hear that being played on the radio alongside other reggae sounding pop tracks.
  6. this is fair and we are mostly in agreement. Havent seen RH live so wont count that but dont love what ive seen online. Here's how im feeing right now: Blond Reinvention Confessions Girlie Show Whos that Girl MDNA Drowned Virgin Sticky Sweet
  7. Lotsa great remixes from the Queen but not many that I can listen once too much time has passed as they sound so dated....which they should as they are mixed for the clubs and whats cool for that time. Here are a few that stand-out for me that I can listen to very regularly to this day: Bedtime Story (Orbital) - the one that Stuart Price re-worked for Reinvention Tour Love Dont Live Here Anymore - the Full On Mark Pichiotti Remix with the added background vocalists....amazing Music (Calderone Mix) American Pie (Jb Mix) - this was a rejected mix - whoever rejected it has hopefully retired and makes no madonna decisions anymore. American Life (Felix) Give It To Me (Tong and Spoon) Celebration (Benassi) Girl Gone Wild (Justin Cognito) Living for Love (living for drums mix - the one used for live performances - why wasnt this released?)
  8. Just a quick note on "I Want You" It WAS slated to be the first single, the video came out, and then some drama ensued with Motown - cant remember but related to licensing and rights and stuff, and the single was scrapped and they moved immediately to "You'll See" A
  9. just getting caught up....WOW....Joan of Arc Acoustic at #99!?!? How is that possible?!?! and Love Profusion (probably my least favorite track from AL) beats it. ugh.
  10. ya my issue with the re-release was the new music track felt akward next to her 80's vocals. There were remixes commissioned as well. The Mark Pichiotti remix, if official, is one of her most amazing remixes ever! That said, she also re-released "Oh Father" as a single then too, in some countries, remember that?
  11. i dont get how "back in business" made it up so high....or made it higher than "something to remember" are we doing this countdown again soon with us newer members getting a chance to vote??
  12. can I just say, im addicted to this thread, AND ALSO, im very mad that i didnt participate. :(
  13. Get Together CT Nobody Knows Me RIT Fever TGS Impressive Instant DWT Lucky Star WTGT Beat Goes On S&ST Open Your Heart BAT Holiday VT Revolver MDNAT - THE WORST 2nd track ever! To go from that awesome hi nrg intro to this dud. ugh.
