  1. In the US - these 3 - Frozen, Express Yourself, and Material Girl
  2. I dont agree with this assessment. "I'll remember" was a hit, during its time. It wasnt "under-rated" in the least, atleast here in the US, where her career was written off post SEX/Erotica, and this movie single gave her a #2 hit in America! Also #1 Canada, #7 UK and mostly within the top 10 across the bigger markets. To me "underrated" is reviews/chart performance (however we want to define "rated") as lower than expected based on the quality(?) of the output. (open to better definitions) I think these are her most under-rated tracks, in order: 7. Living For Love 6. Look of Love 5. Ghosttown 4. Nothing Really Matters 3. Crave 2. Nothing Fails and to me, this track seemed to be forgotten about by M and her team, during the COADF era and since: 1. Get Together
  3. Just a reminder that it didnt go from Freddy to Guy - Lets not forget the Caresse Henry (rip) years - ~94 - ~04 and Angela Becker came after for the COADF era..
  4. NOOOOO!!!! He took the humanity from her. Nonstop money making machine - deal after deal but theres no soul. Everything she does is hyper expensive these days - its all about the money. M - drop this guy - you two had a good run (some would argue im being too kind) - you need fresh blood to manage you.
  5. the Orbital version of BS is the best and they updated that one for Reinvention - Orbital is a big techno dj from the 90s
  6. its just Bennassi doing a "just incongnito" version of his track.
  7. still got my fingers crossed - I dont remember Madonna rsd editions being announced any earlier than the actual RSD full list announcement so im hoping its no different this time! A
  8. Section 1: Bitch Im Madonna/We go Hard Intro (contains the lyrics from bedtime store "Today is the last day, that I am using worrds, theyve gone out lost their meaning, dont function anymore......" with a back beat that contains elements of her most famous works - ie: violins from frozen, snaps, from Vogue, very eeerie - with iconic visuals across her career or maybe a brand new piece where she has on old looks but not necessarily in a glamourous way but moreso reminiscent - she has on the gold corset from BA - she puts on her DITA face mask, looks through a monocle (ie: Express yourself) - so giving nods to her past - this culminates with the eerie music, getting more intense, more BPMS, faster visuals and then she appears on the stage and kicks in with "With you im not a little girl, with you im not a man, when all the hurt comes....... Rescue Me (2.5mins) merged right into God Control (2.5mins), merged right into Get Together (2.5mins) ...if its bitter in the start, then its sweeter in the end.... as she ends Get Together we then hear the opening synths and move right into: Into the Groove Express Yourself (including more of the Everybody elements "dance and sing") Hung Up Section 2 - Something to remember Secret Take A Bow/Live to Tell Dont Cry For Me Argentina Frozen Section 3 - Get up out of your seat Vogue/Deeper and Deeper/Living for Love Give It to Me Causing A Commotion/Celebration/Holiday Section 4 - for the fans Nothing Really Matters Crazy for you/True Blue Ray of Light Lucky Star/Open your Heart Encore: Like a Prayer Music - (...makes the people, come together yaaaa, with an epic beat the once again uses elements from her past...) The End
  9. No usually announcements happen about 4 weeks before so I’m expecting by mid March we will know.
  10. this is tough and everyone is going to have an opinion. There is accuracy to everything you say but there's also going to be people who dont take issue with the examples you gave. I think the biggest problem for Madonna is modern day all access to celebrities. Madonna has always kept up with pop culture and usually at the head of that curve. The problem is how accessible artists are nowadays. Instagram, social and all other tools that bring us one step closer to our fave artist. The Madonna of the 80's and 90's and even 2000's was an inaccessible pop goddess on top of the world who only let us in when she wanted, how she wanted, which helped build her mystique and this was perfect for her because she is highly calculated and knows how to manipulate her audience, give them just enough as was expected in the 80's 90's etc and then poof disappear. In modern day pop era where all the top pop icons are constantly communicating with their fans and exposing themselves, Madonna is not having an easy time and/or her audience is not having an easy time with this side of her. The social era has altered Madonna's mystique. She's no longer that icon who has sharp witty comments, super sexy gorgeous 40 page spreads that she let us have in a very curated way. She's now that awkward "pop" icon who takes these weird eye shots on instagram, over-pouting her very puffy large lips - the highly curated pics are now gone. We get to see the real Madonna now because she's trying to keep up with the kids and her insta-poses and posts feel very 1-note and/or cringe-worthy, her comments are not always witty but awkward. She doesn't seem bitchy and in-charge but more like rude. What Madonna used to do just doesnt work anymore - being cold and calculated but also highly accessible on social is just going to be strange for someone who's personality isnt super authentic or open. I think all of this bleeds into how we receive her music now and how the GP views her. She hasnt had a hit since 4 minutes and that was over a decade ago which means she has missed an entire wave/decade of new music listeners to latch onto her music and so I dont think we should expect a big charting hit from her but she is a pop genius when she does things just right so here's hoping. I think she should really get into the 90's nostalgia that we are in and look back on that epic era and give us 30th anniversary editions of her music from that period. She needs to respect her back catalog just a bit more. I would let her get away with not focusing on her back catalog if today's music was high quality but it just isnt bar raising. I love the Madame X album (not the tour or the promo performance) and thought this was a return to form for her. I say less news, social, media shenanigans and more focus on music (Old and new) at this point in her career. Thats all i want as a fan - the music.

  14. Dont shame me guys but this show bored me to tears! Was front row at the wiltern, Monday, 11/25. I can share all the reasons but its all subjective right? You're not going to care for most of my reasons so Ill leave them off BUT one insight I will share - even though I was in a small 1700 seat venue and front row, I felt like Madonna was more distant than ever - she never really made eye contact, she had alot of costuming on her face, wigs, eye patches etc AND she was not always at the edge or front of the stage but further back except the couple time like when she was asking for the polaroid to be purchased and so on. All her shows in arenas with 15,000 or more people, I remember feeling her connecting way more and for instance making eye contact - I went to reinvention and she kneeled down during papa dont preach and sang to me. For confessions so much eye contact and energy coming at me from her it was wild. This one was not that type of energy at all. I know she said she was trying to be closer to her fans by doing theatre shows but after the show I was convinced that was a made up excuse.
  15. definitely dont hold your breath henny. You'll get it when they decide.
  16. I have a really hard time with this list, not because of the amazing artistry, but because of the lack thereof. I respect putting Bitch Im Madonna, her most viewed video of the 2010s at top of the list BUT the reality is she had celebritys dial in their parts - "hey beyonce, I need hits/viewers, can you pull out your cameraphone and mouth bitch im madonna against a black wall and send back to me really quick" - Beyonce, mid working out, grabs phone and quickly records that and send back" THIS was the ultimate, the pinnacle of desperate Madonna holding on to youth and for that I cannot watch it and goes on bottom of my list.
  17. 1. Girl Gone Wild 2. Medellin 3.Living for Love 4. Give Me All Your Luvin' 5. Ghosttown 6. Turn Up the Radio 7. Bitch Im Madonna
  18. 1. Like a Prayer 2. Frozen 3. Secret 4. Music 5. Hung Up 6. Erotica 7. Like a Virgin 8. Live to Tell 9. Living for Love 10. American Life 11. 4 Minutes 12. Everybody 13. Give Me All Your Luvin’ At this moment, Medellín starts above Living for Love and would take the #9 spot for me. I will finalize in the next few weeks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. please NO la isla bonita......EVER AGAIN!
  20. are you thinking of a not too similar but not far off version called the shep re-spressin' himself mix?
  21. so yep this is a super, weird, lazy release - think were all on the same page there. On the other hand, I now have access to mixes on Spotify which ive been wanting for ages. The only version of Express Yourself I've always loved listing to is this non-stop Express mix which is basically the MTV VMA 89/Blond Ambition version and her vocals are so clean on this specific mix. I think there are maybe 10 mixes for me that are essential must-have Madonna mixes and this is one of them. Also love the Keep It Together 12" included as well - aside from being the BAT version, its another one that just kick it up a notch without going crazy on the mixing. Cherish extended - is fine - I think the ending "give me faith, give me joy" is strongest on this version. Supernatural - good to start seeing these b-sides on Spotify.
  22. i cant confirm whether its remastered or not but the files that are avail on the regular LAP on spotify are the same file on this 30th. It even includes the same number of listens on both files ie: love song has the same number of listens on 30th 1mm+ as on the original while the new versions Oh Father currently show up as <1000 listens since they are new to the database.
  23. I mean i "like" some of their follow-ups - amazing, runaway lover, love spent come to mind immediately. Im sure there's more but that "magic" from ROL I think was the energy of all those guys coming together. I also did some more research on Rick Nowels - he's done ALOT of work Mel C - northern star and Dido - White Flag / Life For Rent - are 2 more albums I love that have that atmospheric vibe.
