  1. Maybe the questions we all submitted will be in some way related to the anniversary. Like a live Q&A thing around the world to celebrate with everybody
  2. You'll be getting nothing for a month now. October is only six weeks away. I imagine weve got a month of Finally Enough Love to let it breathe and then we'll hear about the Everybody 12" and digital release on 22nd September. Two weeks before the anniversary. I imagine the Digital EP will be the main push featuring a remix and or feature. A HD video and potentially some other live performances on You Tube Some merch and a special 12" only available from her webstore I also imagine the release of Everybody will probably herald the announcement of the upcoming debut deluxe.
  3. How are they out of physical product? It baffles me. These CD's will be reprinted and available forever. Like...take the money now and post when theyre made. Who runs these things? Emily could never.
  4. It’ll be the pride mix. Why the hell would it say it’s being gifted weeks before release when the FEL version is coming out Friday. It’ll be a new mix.. Probably the Pride one.
  5. Plot twist. Causing A Commotion Silver Screen Edit is on the sampler.
  6. Rocco has come into his own. He looks stunning and mom is looking stunning too. Her hair and that dress are perfection.
  7. This is for soccer moms who will pick it up from petrol stations and Walmart and play it on their school runs whilst reminiscing about about getting hot and heavy in the club in their youth with some hot guy who isn't their baby daddy, while their kid screams for snacks and a poo from the backseat. And that's it's job. Escapism from the mundane. (disc three will never be played) Gays will stream etc.
  8. You're correct bad wording on my part. I've corrected to say allegedly. Was referring to a thread in here for last year when a surgeon deconstructed her work. Bit of a gross video to be honest but none of that as my wider point. She'd no stranger to surgical and non surgical enhancements since pretty much her 30's. In the years of the really good work we didnt notice as much (as good work should do). My wider point was she follows trends as well as wanting to look her best, and trends are changing. That was all xx
  9. Brazil has a huge black population though. over 50% identify as black or mixed race. While I hear you the fetishisation of black body types and culture particularly in the past decade is undeniable. Stream Boyz https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u884fEIPY3g&ab_channel=JesyNelson
  10. That ass has got to go it makes her legs and hips look out of whack. No wonder she needed help standing up. There is actually a huge international trend in terms of cosmetic procedures to actually move away from this kind of look now (the Kardashian look). That trend is on the decline with even Kim And Chloe even seemingly having ass reductions in recent times. The fetishisation of black body types is increasingly seen as appropriative and a bad look as it should be. There is also big movement on women and their bodies and this pressure to get surgically enhanced more than ever. In short the toxic Kardashians culture is on the decline. Many people are having their fillers dissolved. People are returning to their surgeons and are finally realising that it’s reached a tipping point. That actually too much filler widens the face at the top, accentuated the jaw, and lowers the natural cheek line so it has the opposite effect of trying to make you look younger. It actually makes you look older. Madonna allegedly had her first face lift in about 94 with brow lifts and collegen fillers all the way back to 90 so she’s always followed trends. The pillow look is done. So seeing as her work been trend oriented we’ll likely see some of these non surgical procedures lessen somewhat. I don’t typically like to comment on womens bodies but I read an article on cosmetic procedure trends and I thought it was relevant in terms of the sociopolitical impacts of surgical enhancement and how this aligns with the most famous woman / feminist in the world.
  11. I wonder what will be this weeks release radar song to promote. I wonder if we’ll get another tracks released to push the record.
  12. Yeah I wish I could find the posts. They were sublime.
  13. People want something because it’s rare not because of the quality. Greed / capitalism, Material Gworlls etc. I liked Mr Brainwashes work personally and I get the pop art look as it was a “celebration” . FEL is repeating that formula for the most part but the project as a whole was not taken care of at all. anyone remember the abandoned commissions for the early Celebration artwork. I remember one was called Hit Lady and another one had write ups for Ray Of Light and another of her projects and the beauty of the artwork. My Good Lord. Now THAT is what I would like in a box set befitting of pop Royalty. Queen MADONNA The Crown Jewels : Somet like that would be a brilliant box set collection idea. One for another ten years methinks though.
  14. Yeah pretty much all of the vinyl reissues with the scanned sleeves have made me keep my distance. But yes get your point. I just think the vinyl market at the moment is taking the absolute piss in terms of pricing. The new Beyoncé vinyl is nearly £70. I just won’t pay it. I know you are getting a lot more for your money here with 6 vinyls but comparatively I wonder if the quality of the presses and artworks is lessened to save money because the production costs are higher all round. I’d expect to pay around £70-80 for a 6 vinyl set not £150 personally but I know they’re prices of yesteryear. I mean the two disc vinyl is only £32 quid so times that by three? Feels like a fleecing operation. The Queen one is stunning and is £100 with all different coloured vinyls. Abba is 10 vinyls and is only £10 more than Madonna’s. Sade £130 for six vinyls. Just like with her ticket prices Madonna always gotta try and fleece us that little bit extra, and I’m not mad on the design aspect. but I’m sure those who have it will cherish and love it so it’s all good. They’ll be other things coming along that I’m bound to snatch up x
  15. Anyone who is a fan of old rare euro disco will probably enjoy Cosmic Climb as it’s a low key sub disco bopp curio with a little bit of merit. Not unlike something on her debut musically (Think Of Me vibes). The rest is utterly woeful.
  16. Like A Prayer Non album “special edition” feels like home ware revealed https://society6.com/product/madonna-1989-like-a-prayer_wall-mural 🤪😵‍💫🫣🥴
  17. The vinyl album reissues are gonna have to have something extra to make them get snapped up. Literally every Madonna album is seemingly available everywhere to buy on both CD and vinyl apart from Hard Candy MDNA & Rebel Heart. (Which aren’t really the ones the GP are interested in let’s be honest) I’m guessing they’ll all have new artworks. The way I would jump at buying this as the LAV vinyl in a New York minute The original artwork colouring was so utterly stunning I have no idea why they went with sepia tones. I’ve never really loved it. I suppose they made the pictures feel a bit dirtier and less Shiny & New, especially the back cover which looks like a seedy motel. Maybe they also though they fit the slight Motown era feel they were going for.
  18. Everybody is the logical special release. I mean I’d gag for an Erotica album release but I think they’re gonna wait. Everybody featuring Britney would be a good fit. A standard vinyl reissue would seem a bit basic. I’m more interested in a comprehensive digital EP and a new dance remix from Honey Dijon. Everybody has that sort of dubby energy that Honey could really work with and bring to life. I wonder if we’ll see Madonna try and position Like A Prayer as a Christmas type of single. (Which is always should have been really IMO). The business woman in her must look at Mariahs annual returns and take pause. Xmas coin is evergreen and Madonna really doesn’t have an iron in the fire. Santa Baby is not her song and the Kylie version has become the dominant version. Like A Prayer winter edition is a cute bit of marketing especially as it has a religious theme anyway. Gimme an all choir version and Madonna on a fuckin donkey in grillz throwing dollars at the manger. Camp
  19. Tbh I really want to see what the quality is like before I spend that much on an item and I don’t think that’s unreasonable. It’s… a lot of money and I’d just resent it if it showed up as some cheap ass money grab item. I think the quality is going to be an example of the forthcoming reissues for a bunch of us so Warner and M have got a lot riding on this release.
  20. Maybe but I’m a fan of many other artists some of whom I thinks later day material is superior or of equal quality. I honestly believe In another ten years time we’ll look back on the last 15 years and view it as a period where the quality dipped. I’m utterly convinced she has better in her yet to come. Which is why I’ll always be here. She’s just been heavily distracted and been poorly advised at times. Her heart has been with her kids and that is exactly as it should be. The fact that she still feeds us keeps me ever grateful, but objectively the music has suffered as a result and I don’t feel the need to lower my standards. I’m a music nerd and … yeah it’s been patchy.
  21. It’s really simple name me the ten best Madonna songs from 82-92 92-02 02-12 12-22 and see which list has the best quality The first two list will be incredible and hard to narrow down The third list will have some good songs but only a few that could stand up to the first two list. The fourth list will mostly be album tracks and won’t stand up to list three and can’t even see lists one and two from where is stands. Thems just the facts girls. Madonna is still Incredible and there is much to still love…but… the overall accessibility, melodic sensibility and quality and consistency of her output has lessened. Don’t get me wrong. I’m still here and I’m still eating it up because I’m invested in the woman now and I ain’t a fair weather fan. The journey is fascinating but the music … it’s more challenging. But I do think this has been her choice in many ways. Madame X and Rebel Heart were bold and ambitious but from her own mouth she wasn’t really feeling the need to make those records. I think after revisiting her back catalogue and having fun again which she clearly is she’ll be in a place to make another POP masterpiece. It just feels like the timing is right.
  22. Could have done without the everybody is dead schtick tbh. Felt a bit disrespectful to be laughing at that but otherwise better than recent appearances. I do miss her intelligence in interviews though. It feels like she’s boxed herself into this corner of being deliberately base and wild which is a bit of a bore. But yeah it was cute enough. The fucking basque holding her in and making the girls look huge again has to go!
  23. I’ll always loathe Me Against The Music. it’s the first time in her career I ever thought Madonna looked utterly desperate. Obviously the huge American Life backlash completely knocked her for six and she had to do something to get back in the publics good graces but the public smelled the blood of an ageing star for the first time and things would never be quite the same again. In truth it could have been an absolute moment but the song is a dud and the video was choices. Now had they dueted on another song from that album such as Breathe On Me / Touch Of My Hand or even Outrageous. All very Madonna sounding / subject matter we’d have had a bonafide smasha. MATM is poor. Drag in the “quick let’s remind them of an oldie but goldie” gap ad cringe. I think the whole of the below summed it up as the glamourous already posted.
  24. Either way. She’s been part of two huge number ones in the last two years in some way shape or form. That in and of itself is great for her profile with a younger audience.
