  1. I was also wondering why all her videos are not available to but on iTunes. Only two of the tours, a selection of her videos and hardly any of her films. I find it weird that these things aren’t widely available to buy from the major music buying platform. They were all properly released. There are no production costs for a digital download. wasted revenue.
  2. I think it depends what age group you speak to. I’d say La Isla Bonita is a go to that spans the generations like Hung Up, Virgin, Prayer, and Holiday.
  3. If the track list for FEL was Holiday Like A Virgin Material Girl Into The Groove Open Your Heart Like A Prayer Express Yourself Vogue Justify My Love Frozen Ray Of Light Music Hung Up Give It 2 Me Girl Gone Wild Bitch Im Madonna Medellin we might have ....and I stress might...have some cause for comparison. So Imma have to immaculate all the way. Further proof that a single disc Madonna greatest hits is pure shenanigans. The quality is too much. and the above wouldn't even be it.
  4. Add Gaga to the list of reworked collaborative back catalogue songs. Can you image an actual Gaga feature on Express Yourself tho! hilarious if they did that.
  5. Yeah she’ll defo use more pre release tracks to promote the main album release. I’m also predicting we’ll get an actual video for Finally Enough Love.
  6. Emily has a 3G blackberry with an AI app and works out of the broom cupboard at Rhino. Warner literally said you can not sit with us. Those remix videos are not her work.
  7. Yes that’s the one. I mean… the vibes of those Avicci sounds are still permeating the charts even now. It’s not exactly Ltd to that one year. You mean like Girl Gone wild rehashed that Rihanna Only Girl In The World sound from two years earlier and indeed her own song Celebration from 2009? You mean like 4 Minutes came out at least four years after that Timbaland sound had debuted? You mean like Miles Away and Devil basically reheated a Justin Timberlake song from 2003 five years earlier? You mean like Hung Up echoed on that 2001 French house sound from 4 yrs earlier? You mean like GMAYL & Turn Up The Radio played off that Martin Solvieg Hello sound from two years earlier in 2010? ok I’m being extra but my point is that mama is rarely the first at the table. The point is she does it through the Madonna lens and Avicci Heart is that bitch.
  8. With tickets priced between £50- 80 Madonna could fill a stadium three times over. But she won’t because Mama is the original Material Gworl.
  9. Yeah avicci just brings the streams in like Mad. Which makes her decision not to use Rebel Heart produced by Avicci as the lead single for The project the singular most dumb fucking move she’s ever made in her career. The song is the best thing she’s done in 15 years and would have been such a smash. I don’t think I’ll ever get over it tbh. I don’t mince words when I say it could have seen her entire career on a different position to the way it is now. A Hung Up moment for the teens.
  10. Newsflash. The biopic is NOT FOR THE HARDCORE FANS LIKE US. It’s for GEEma PEEma and the great unwashed. The locals and regular folkals. sorry bout it
  11. Emily really said fuck the Gays in pride month. “Ok It’s July.. have this cock suckers”
  12. Aren’t Princes like 3 a year: I think we’re looking at two album releases a year and a third “special release”. Live albums / compilations which will largely focus on highlighting all the major strengths Madonna brings to the table as an artist. After a dance compilation like Finally Enough Love we will 100% be due Something To Remember 2. A Live compilation Maybe soundtracks compilation Concert Blu Rays and audio Record store day special releases. Virgin / WTG / BA / TGS / DWT / RIT / full CT on streaming. (Easy money and streaming boosts) Full Virgin Tour on Blu Ray Blond Ambition on Blu Ray Accosutic / Orchestral reworks. Ray Of Light / Music / American Life / Confessions / Hard Candy promo shows available on special edition vinyls. Selected Films added to streaming services. I don’t think there are corruptly any of hers from what I’ve been able to see on Prime / Netflix / Amazon. Sex 2 Pre-Madonna album In between all this I think we’ll get one offs like Frozen on Fire / Levitating feature / Material Gworl / more HD videos and of course the remaining EP’s on streaming. The Biopic. Spacial Audio releases. The album reissues alone are a bit boring if they’re not gonna include unreleased. It’s the endless projects and opportunities around her eras that excites me most. FEL is a great and almost flawless start (artwork CAC and choice of some remixes aside). 2 albums a year is still about 7 years worth of reissues. She’ll be 70. it’s gonna be a hell of a beautiful extended celebration. I don’t see a new album anytime soon. Five songs for the movie maybe and maybe some new stuff on some compilations. I think a Taylor Swift historical album track as a release for each album would be a great way to go. I think this is why Physical Attraction was included In FEL to give it some oxygen before the debut rerelease.
  13. Yeah I just meant it terms of subject matter (motherhood) and despite its soundscape Ray Of Light had quite a classic sounding palette. By 98 those modern dance chill lounge albums had permeated the norm. Trip hop and dance music dominated the charts and while it was certainly a new sound for Madonna she certainly wasn’t a pioneer in this field at all. All lot of Ray Of Light is mellow downtempo and we were still very much on the safe side ballad Donna. 3 of the singles were downtempo and Little Star was pushed as a double A almost. Nothing Really Matters is actually a very mellow vibey dance track than a banger. Ray Of Light was the only banger per se. Motherhood is pretty universal and something that humanised and desexualised Madonna for the first time Since she fell in love and got married to Sean. Bedtime Stories laid the groundwork but I always see it as a counterpart to Erotica with the RnB influences. The Bjork single and Human Nature were not exactly universal and we have to twin the era with the Rodman / Tupac and Letterman appearances a few months earlier. She was very much immersed in us hip hop culture with every single being produced by an person of colour. Austin / Dave Hall / Michelle Ndegeocello / Tupac / Babyface / Aaliyah sample / and the obvious Harlem stylings and surroundings in both the Secret and Human Nature video. Even though RNB and hip hop were arguably the dominant music genre in the states it wasn’t for a white artist like Madonna who, it could be said, was somewhat problematically playing into a culture that went against the grain, was unconventional and controversial. which after her slapped Wrist after Erotica era probably appealed to her defiant nature, rather than bouncing back to shiny pop etc. Madonna would obviously frame this as being in the company of pioneers and different thinkers who made their own lane after not being accepted as mainstream culture. So yes even though Bedtime Stories is always seen as her public apology / appeasing record it really isn’t. It’s defiant and bating. Ray Of Light is much more universal and has a more inviting energy. In my opinion of course xx
  14. I for one am fucking thrilled that Everybody and Burning Up continue to get their flowers all this way into her career. It’s obvious she holds great affection for them both. Whereas she couldn’t really give two fucks about Borderline…. And that’s how I know she’s my queen.
  15. Madonna sees convention as boring. She only turns to it when the controversial has alienated her. True Blue / Ray Of Light / Confessions. These are her most conventional records in terms of subject matter… and her most successful in their respective decades.
  16. Glasto is the greatest music festival and platform in the world. No comparison. It just… it’s special. The vibe there is unparalleled and That’s not easy to create. I think she’s buzz her tits off doing something like that but she’s need to get past the nerves and like I think I said before… ten years ago she’d have killed it. Confessions era was really when she should have done Glasto tbh. a collapse. I don’t think she can hold a general audience in her hand now like she could have done back then. She’s hasnt played to the peanut gallery for nearly 15 yrs. it’s front row fanatics now which is largely the problem. I fear a Glasto could be disastrous. She’s need to do it at the end of a tour run so she’s rehearsed to fuck.
  17. Where is it though? Huh?!? HUH!!!!! Where is the Australian edit representation in this northern hemisphere centric forum!?!??
  18. Awww I love Gone. I also think if they had used the tour video it would have been the first time an audience saw Madonna playing Guitar in one of her songs which would have set up the acoustic nature of what was to come in American Life nicely. Not every song needs a remix plus we already know there was a William orbit version that could have served as an alternative for the maxi. Plus she’s remixed enough ballads in her time so why not. Music only having three singles was weird after Ray Of Light had five. (American Pie does not count). Especially as we were peak Madonna mania since 1990. In many ways it would have been slightly odd timing as the September 11th attacks would have taken place not long after it would have been released which would likely have been the August. So I’m kinda glad it didn’t.
  19. It really is great Im not joking. I’d love that cover rather than the one we have. I might make it my iTunes cover
  20. This is actually beaut tho. I’d love a vinyl of that. It’s really cute
