  1. So tonight is the last show in the United States.
  2. He's releasing a recipe book around boogers.
  3. Which night in Miami did she make the sad speech about being in Atlanta and wanting to throw herself out of her hotel room window ?
  4. Apparently he did not record everything for MDNA, thank god for that hahaha. It seems very focused on RayOf Light, no Music tracks tapes so it must be related to a ROL project.
  5. In 1974, Madonna was 16 and was in high school at Adams High in Rochester, MI. Wyn Cooper was a classmate and they were assigned to make a short movie for film class. Wyn, Madonna and Madonna's friend Carole Belanger did that Egg movie at a house were Belanger was baby sitting at. Wyn Cooper remembered this about Madonna then : "We developed a friendship and hung out. I had a Mercury Capri with an eight-track tape player. Madonna and I would hop in the car, drive around and listen to Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars while enjoying a little marijuana. She was social but removed at the same time". Wyn Cooper became a poet and in 1987 he released "The Country of Here Below" a poetry book, only 500 copies were printed. One of the poem was called "FUN" and started like this "All I wanna do is have a little fun before i die". Crowe's first album was recorded at Toad Hall Studio in Pasadena with record producers Bill Bottrell* and Kevin Gilbert*. Bottrell took a break and went to next door Pasadena's Playhouse and found copy of Cooper's book in an used bookstore, Crowe wasn't satisfied with a track she recorded "Still Love you", they rewrote the whole song adapting the poem hence Cooper getting a credit that bought him millions of dollars. * What is really strange though is Bill Bottrell and Kevin Gilbert were respectively mixer and sound engineer assistant on Madonna's albums Like A Prayer, I'm Breathless (he even co-produced the Sondheim tracks) and they mixed the concert parts in Truth Or Dare. Gilbert mixed Now I'm following You Part II and the bottom remixes of Hanky Panky. They both were in Pat Leonard's Toy Matinee band. Bottrell was also a producer for Michael Jackson on Dangerous... (Gilbert was Crowe's bf at the time and they had a big fall out, Bill Bottrell and him accused her of wrongfully crediting herself for the work they did on the album and ignoring them went it became succesful. Gilbert was also mad at Madonna for unknown reasons. He had a mental breakdown and killed himself in the late 90's) That's a good example of how small the world can be.
  6. He's actually promoting the first tome of a trilogy about his work. Now it's about Taxi Girl, his first band. The second tome will be about himself and the third one about Madonna. No trash talk there, when asked about her during the promo he's always praising her, when reminded he said she drove him crazy during the recording of Confessions so he left, he was quick to say that he was the one having a meltdown and needed mental help then but she treated him the best one could considering his breakdown. He alsi added that people have the wrong impression of her and they would be surprised to know how real and funny she is and he wants to get the record straight. It will also be about the music business. And he does not know about his new album. Sorry Kylie fans, and to torture you even more, he said he has two tracks with her but does not know if they are gonna be released since he may record totally new stuff. The reason why he does not release stuff is because he believes streaming fucks the artists, the Madonna tome will be about this too.
  7. It was my least favourite track on ROL, i was always skipping it in favour of Has To Be (i bought that imported japanese cd version for twice the price of a regular cd because i could not stand not having the whole session). The video is boring, even more than the DWSFL one. But i don't hate them like i hate that toilet bowl freshner commercial that is Love Profusion. Sadly. I'm talking about the last tours films.
  8. The craziness around "Co-co-co mo-mo, co-co-co mo-mo, cum cum, commotion" is crazy. I adore it though. Why was Angel the only LAV single not remixed by Jellybean ? Is it because they broke up just before its release ? Then why did he come back for Dress You Up ? Or Dress You Up was made earlier in the year than its release ? Meaning Angel wasn't the first choice for the 3rd single ? So when did they work on the Street Smarts track ? Before the Virgin Tour started did she abort Sean Penn, Jellybean or Kaipo Guerrero's spawn ? Will we ever hear Nile Rodger's LAV remix ? So many questions that i don't really care about though. Except the Working Your Finger To The Bone track. Leak it.
  9. I agree it's not cool for the audience but again she must be terrified to be sick again after last june's trauma. At every arena show i attended the heat was too much so it must be in her rider first than they did not comply after she must have asked them more than once. After all she's renting the venue, she's their client (and we're hers) it's not professional on their part either.
  10. I wanna ask "What happened to pop music after 2007 ?" because, seriously, there's a real shift in quality in the late 00's. The horror that is EDM was to music what Trump has been to politic.
  11. After all this time, fans still don't know that at a Madonna show you'll get out late and it's gonna be hot as hell. She's onstage sweating and she gets heaps of frigid air, a sure way to catch a cold. You don't need to be a neurosurgeon to get that. Canceling a show because she has a fever would be better ? Considering what happened to her in last june ? And lol @ that person who talked about global warming to justify pushing ac like it is everywhere in the us, shops, etc....this is what causes global warming in the first place (but that's not the subject here). And the usual trolls using this to shit on her character, it says more about them than about her. The reactions are mental. Live a little, seriously.
  12. Not like in directing it behind the camera but as in using him as just a technician without a say which in the end is exactly what she did, she got director's cut.
  13. It's something i don't want to experience again hahaha. First night of DWT in Paris. She was pissed off and it could be felt. IT was like a very agressive energy coming at you and it pissed me off. She was much cooler the next day.
  14. In the video she vetos a question about her work, projects she did not do but she goes on about Madonna. Her relationship to Madonna can be summed up by the name of her most famous show "Without You I'm Nothing". Nobody ever asks Madonna about Sandra since their fall out. Madonna will be written in her obituary, she won't be in Madonna's.
  15. I doubt she's gonna make a lot of money from the tour, the expenses from rehearsals to travelling and how luxurious the staging is, if she manages to get $20 m out of it, it would be the most. She did not get monet from Blond Ambition. I believe the story was the biopic was too dark, exactly. I think she should drop the classic biopic route and adapt the tour into a movie as a musical and make a cross between Fosse's All That Jazz and hers and klein's main inspiration : Ken Russel. She should play herself not at different stages of her life but like revisiting places like in a dream, like traveling in the past. Back as a "Ghost" in her mother's room at the hospital...her teenage bedroom, etc....and telling tales as a witness and within a musical firm using her songs. She could talk a about specific moments that shaped her. Her at St Vincent's hospital climbing in the beds of the dyings. And if there should be actresses playing her in some scenes there should be a different one each time, even guys, black, asian...or singers she inspired. She does not need to make a regular biopic because she's not a regular woman, she's still working as an artist, she's not dead and it should be like a piece of heart inspired by her work in music videos. My opinion
  16. Well, she had a fallout with Avvidiva years later when she did not pay him for the Confessions tour backdrop. She had a fallout with David Lachappelle because they could not agree on the treatment for the Hung Up video (he wanted her to wear a disguise and pop up in front of random people in the streets of London) he said he had a nervous breakdown becaue she was mean (actually she was quite awful after the horse accident apparently and she knew it but she later blamed it on the meds). The story for Rolston is that she wanted to direct the video. I wonder if like Take a Bow and Nothing Really Matters, the real idea behind TPG was to make a demo for a movie role she wanted to bag. That's around the time Music Of The Heart (she had a fallout with Wes Craven before filming and production with her was pretty much advanced) and Chicago were old news.
  17. Sean Penn or Guy Ritchie ? (which reminds me yesterday i was suggested a clip from Ritchie's itw at Norton for King Arthur and in the comments someone wrote he hated him since Ritchie and Vinnie Jones mocked a friend of his on a photoshoot for being effeminate)
  18. These banters should be transfered to the Member zone, most of the time they have nothing to do with the topic. Maybe create a lounge so they can have their private discussions there. The tour will end that means the Warner contract thread will be the most active again hahaha '"they said exclusive stuff fans dream about in the Paper interview !"
  19. They made up at the Kaballah center in Los Angeles when Madonna first attended and Sandra was already a member. Well, Sandra is two lines in a chapter of Madonna's life, Madonna is a whole chapter in Sandra's. I mean no one ever asked Madonna about Sandra in interviews since 1992. Sandra ? Constantly.
  20. It's been totally remade 10 years ago, there's nothing left from the 90's because it has also been remodeled. And the neighbourhood is awful. The avenue it is on is totally dead and the nearby Champs Elysees are worst than Time Square....i spent my childhood nearby, my doctor used to be in the building next to the Palace but as a parisian i have not set foot in that area of Paris for almost 20 years (last time was because my mom was at the hospital there). It's a tourist trap full of pick pockets and "chavs".
  21. ITG was the first Madonna track that was cloned : Alisha's Baby Talk, Regina's Baby Love, E.G Daily's Say It, Say It which pissed Madonna off hence why she made the conscious effort to stire away from that sound on True Blue and maybe why Each Time and Spotlight did not make the cut since they share the same structure. She revisited it with Commotion though because at the time of TB release fans complained that she had abandonned her club roots, that's where the YCD project came from and she probably made Commotion in that regard too. Like Neil Tennant said, it sums up the 80's where a diy underground beat meets the mainstream.
  22. Madonna's posts on social have been really scarce since the tour began (in fact since she was out of coma) compared to how much she used to share prior to it. She mostly uses the stories. Is she over it ? (like any normal person should be)
  23. Stop blaming Ricardo for the facetuning, he has no hands in the photoshoots she does with Klein and yet they are tuned to death too. It's HER choice otherwise she would take them down as soon as she sees these monstruosity and wouldn't repost them in her stories. Actually the tuning job he did on her official released pics like PAPER was pretty good. Remember what she did to her face irl. She wants to look like that.
  24. The song that made me a fan. I already owned Holiday but Into the groove was something else, until then most if Madonna's output, minus Burning Up, was very RnB, Into the groove infused it with a New Wave sound, there are hints of New Order in ITG. It's also a special song in Madonna's catalog because it's the first track she was officially credited as a co-producer. If Madonna's tracks until then were more Roxy and Funhiuse inspired, ITG was pure Danceteria. The track has been praised by Debbie Harry, Patti Smith, Sonic Youth, Pet Shop Boys...It's probably the sound she had in mind fot LAV before she was forced to have a big name producer working on it by Warner. ITG is Madonna's first record in her own terms. And because of its huge success in Europe, she was given (almost) free reign to produce her third album.
  25. So Pink, Sheryl Crowe (she said this week that powerhouses like Madonna, Beyonce and Swift are big fuck yous to the male dominatef music industry....of course the press only mentionned Swift in their headlines) and Nelly Furtado praised Madonna these last fex days. That's a welcome change. Hopefully it will last a bit.
