  1. @dankpepe Madonna already broke up w/ Ahlamalik Williams?! I hadn't kept up...
  2. @TonyMontana Yeah. Been through strings of comments online, and people are basically calling her out for having had too much work done, and they deem her an ageist for seemingly fighting the aging process so hard. And those baseless paedophilia/child trafficking allegations don’t help… Maybe Madonna should have requested all press photos be approved prior to being published. I’m sure she’ll bounce back anyway like she always does, esp. when the tour starts. And maybe she’ll take some measures to diminish the odds of that occurring again.
  3. It appears to be a case of bad angle/lighting/zooming. Watching the live broadcast, I thought she looked great! Madonna’s unedited look can greatly vary due to angle or lighting, more so than before. And the gap between Madonna’s edited look vs. her unedited appearance is sometimes getting wider and wider. I never gave allegations of cosmetic surgery much thought, and there’s nothing wrong w/ some enhancement. However, too much work or bad work achieves opposite effect. If that’s what’s going on, it’s best to stop and focus on reversing some of it if possible. Madonna was always a natural beauty w/ striking features, and she doesn’t need all that.
  4. Madonna can sing most anything, even jazz, theatre and opera stuff. If a number is too high, she can lower the notes. As for the original Rescue Me, she can pull it (as she did in the studio). Half the song is spoken, and the other half just requires some good technique and placement. Her Blond Ambition voice would work best for it for that deep, guttural belting.
  5. I like the idea of a greatest hits tour à la ‘Re-Invention’; I think it’s a great idea. But just like she did ‘Re-Invention’, I’d still accompany the tour w/ a new album, whether an LP or an EP, and I’d include at least four songs from it. There could be 19+ more tracks (incl. interludes and medleys), so it’d still be a greatest hits show and advertised as such. I just like a “current” theme to still be present (I don’t see Mo as a dinosaur). And yeah, we’ll probably get live performances of the recent reworked versions of ‘Frozen’, ‘Material Girl’, ‘Hung Up’, and maybe some unearthed stuff like ‘Back That Up to the Beat’. Should be a very entertaining spectacle. And maybe we’ll get to hear ‘I’ll Remember’ and ‘This Used to Be My Playground’ live for the first time. I’d expect some more album tracks such as ‘Pray for Spanish Eyes’, ‘Pretender’, ‘Something to Remember’, ‘Back In Business’, ‘I Know It’… With a lush live instrumentation, those would sound amazing! Also, ‘Angel’, ‘Rescue Me’, ‘Love Don't Live Here Anymore’, ‘Physical Attraction’... Some newer tracks like ‘Crave’, ‘Faz Gostoso’, ‘Inside Out’ and ‘Wash All Over Me’... And I’d bring back Niki & Donna if possible.
  6. @diegolcl Maybe it was fake fur. 2 200 € ??? The original was not anywhere that pricey.
  7. Physical Attraction was never remixed for this project (in the album liner, it's the only track without additional production). Its single edit is the same as the 1983 7" edit.
  8. Has anyone on here warned Emily of that already? They should put the actual dub version on the maxi-single or Fever (Edit Two). And yeah, correct the credits.
  9. Don't most computers (desktop/laptop) come w/ a CD/DVD player and burner?
  10. Mmm... Do we really know her personally? I’m sure Lolahol has had to deal w/ quite some undue/disingenuous attention and scrubs in her life, people wanting to give her a hard time or just take advantage of her… She’s had to harden herself somehow. Madonna herself has quite a strong personality and can be quite the bitch on occasions, but it’s usually if warranted. I’m sure Lola’s actually nice to the people she works with and she lets into her life. Like Paris Jackson, I sense in Lolahol high artistic sensitivity and some maturity and wisdom about life and all. Maybe she’ll appear to be nicer at some point as her fanbase expands and she gets to interact w/ her true fans online.
  11. And these days, whisper singing is the big new trend... Some listeners may not get it, but it's now very trendy. I absolute love this song—loved it on first listen! And Lolahol's just damn beautiful in it—so gorgeous. And she's so young, only 25—Madonna's age at the time Borderline was released.
  12. Listening... Yeah, it all sounds amazing. Only thing I'd change is the versions of Like a Virgin and Material Girl used; remix edits like those fanmade on YouTube would have sounded and fit better. They could easily have created remix edits for those two; some other tracks on the compilation were esp. (re)created for it.
  13. Musixmatch may be the best since that's where artists and labels publish lyrics themselves for display on Spotify, Google and some other portals, though I've seen a few mistakes on Musixmatch.
  14. @steady75 A question... The N-word is pronounced in the song... If a group of Black and non-Black people were singing it/miming to it together in a club or at a party, should all the non-Black people stop at that one word? I guess the answer is yes, but doesn't it make it feel a bit awkward? I understand it's reappropriation or reclamation when Black (incl. biracial Black) artists employ that term. I'm myself Black, and it would not bother me if a non-Black person used it as a term of endearment w/ no derogatory intents (like Madonna did Rocco back then on Instagram, and Rocco is White), but I understand many would be very upset.
  15. I was actually looking for musical similarities. I've only found similarities in the "material girl," " I'm a material girl," and "material gworl" lyrics and (to some extent) vocal melodies of those lyrics. And yeah, there's the overall theme of the song. @Prayer @Roy @GhostOrchid @Blue Jean
  16. I see in the credits on Spotify that Madonna and Shep Pettibone are only credited for production. Not sure what are the exact sampling rules (seem to differ from a song to another). As for the remix itself, yeah, brilliantly made.
  17. I'm using it right now to analyse my own songs (my own creations). The diagram doesn't go higher than 22 kHz, even w/ 24-bit wave tracks. It's like the screen is limited to 22 kHz. I'm using 44100 Hz tracks.
  18. Veronica Electronica was also scrapped. Does anyone know if remixes actually created for it? As for the Spek software... Can anyone help? It's not showing me anything past 22 kHz for any song. @Roy
  19. Do you have Spotify Premium? Highest Spotify Premium quality is Ogg Vorbis 320kbit/s (desktop, mobile, and tablet) or AAC 256kbit/s (web player). Free Spotify is much lower. Source 1 Source 2
  20. @thegoldencalf I wonder why they messed w/ the tracklist of The Immaculate Collection that way on Spotify and some other platforms. And the IC mix of Holiday should not be on digital Madonna issues; it should either be the full-length version or the 7" edit.
  21. @dominbil Madonna likes to follow current trends. She’s determined to remain as young and relevant as possible for the rest of her life, and one of today’s trends is big fat ass booties. Madonna’s not the only one. Alex Montenegro, an adult actor, has just told me he’s growing his booty (you can see it in his current story). There is also a lotion that helps achieve that objective. Of course, it may all look superficial, but sex sells, and such businesses (incl. music) are a lot based on image. Madonna’s digital enhancement has never bothered me, and I usually don’t even think of it. The only issue is when she greatly modifies a photo that was already made public (like that of her and 50 Cent together); that only exposes her. I wish her real-life appearance was a lot closer to those edited shots.
  22. @Gutten @Ian And Madonna wrote it alone, lyrics and music.
