  1. Shouldn’t ‘Into the Groove’ have been added to the 2001 remaster? It was not part of the original 1984 pressing (it was added to some 1985 pressings), but so weren’t the two extended mixes of ‘Like a Virgin’ and ‘Material Girl’. Missed opportunity right there. The album is solid enough without it, but that ‘Desperate Seeking Susan’ song makes it even stronger. @Karma @MDNA22
  2. @Nahual And what about the Soulpower Remix? It gave the song a whole new polish, and it's amazing how the 1984 vocals still matched Madonna's 1995 image.
  3. @PanditaRulez, the thread says: "Physical Attraction (18.070 Brazil / 'You Can Dance' Single Edit) - 3:57 - WAV Edit of the 11-23-1982 Demo / Released on PRO-CD-2892" Here's the file: https://mega.nz/folder/aT4gnaSB#5-YtIC_fIIoyqNxTyuf5Xg Isn't it the same version as this? This edit of "Physical Attraction" is from a promotional LP for Madonna's 1987 remix album You Can Dance. It's actually the same version that first appeared in 1983 on a promo single. My specs: Recorded using Audio-Technica AT-LP120-USB turntable with internal preamp removed and an AT 120E cart. All records are cleaned on a VPI 16.5. I use Adobe Audition CC for recording and processing. Clicks are removed manually with a light filter used sparingly. According to Qobux, the version of Physical Attraction used is the 03:45 'You Can Dance Remix Edit': https://www.qobuz.com/es-es/album/finally-enough-love-50-number-ones-madonna/tu514gw6zpxbb The Finally Enough Love booklet says the same thing: PHYSICAL ATTRACTION (YOU CAN DANCE REMIX EDIT) 03:45 Dance Club Chart Peak Date: 02/06/88 The underground club vibes of the original song—written and produced by Reggie Lucas—perfectly matched the flow of the You Can Dance project and was the only song included on that album without remixing production. This edit was featured on the 1987 promotional release of the LP and also as a B-side to the 1983 European 7” release of “Burning Up.” https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0046/6311/5847/products/Madonna_50NumberOnes_3CD_ProductShot.jpg?v=1651541010 Looks like it's going to be a shorter version of the 03:57 'You Can Dance Single Edit'—basically an edit of the 06:35 12" version/Madonna album version. @Candy Perfume Boy @Angelman60@Frank
  4. It's just an edit, exactly the same as the 1983 7" edit that surfaced in certain markets—absolutely no difference except for a remastered sound. Physical Attraction, on You Can Dance, is the same as the original 1983 12" version except for the intro and outro; they felt Physical Attraction was clubby enough and perfect the way it was.
  5. A few things they could have done differently… Create remix edits for ‘Like a Virgin’ and ‘Material Girl’. Here are two good fanmade edits: Wouldn’t it be more interesting? They also could have remixed ‘Physical Attraction’ somehow (so we finally have an actual official remix of the song). That way, all tracks would be remixed, but it’s still good the way it is.
  6. Yeah, I was under the impression it was all going to be brand-new remixes. See, this was the perfect occasion to finally have ‘Physical Attraction’ remixed; the ‘You Can Dance’ mixes were not remixed and have no additional production. Is there just one true official remix of ‘Physical Attraction’? Regarding the compilation cover art… Since ‘Angel’ was excluded, they should have used the artwork for its B-side (‘Into the Groove’) or the ‘Into the Groove’ international A-side artwork, but that’s just a detail. Not much anything new here, but it’s still a nice release.
  7. It should be noted Physical Attraction was not actually remixed on You Can Dance. The booklet lists no additional production on that song, and it appears to be identical to the original version save for the intro and the outro. This upcoming anthology is a fitting occasion to finally have it remixed. It probably won't, but it should.
  8. It's 56 number ones total. Two of the number ones are double (49 + 2), and five You Can Dance tracks (Spotlight, Everybody, Physical Attraction, Over and Over, Where's the Party) do not appear elsewhere on the list. If it's strictly 50 songs, six won't make the cut.
  9. Is this a new video? I've read a comment saying it is three years old.
  10. I'm just seeing this. This echoes a thread I recently made on here. Madonna herself believes cancel culture is being taken too far.
  11. I agree. I'm not sure she will go there. Actually, I don't think she will.
  12. Is this true? https://exhale.breatheheavy.com/forums/topic/798178-unfiltered-photo-of-madonna-surfaces/
  13. Madonna's now reached the level of scrutiny Michael Jackson did over allegations of plastic surgery. But it's not just Madonna. Kylie Jenner is much, much younger and reportedly had extensive work done. And there are French-Canadian stars Anne-Marie Losique and Julie Snyder who apparently had quite some work done. And there's Hunter Tylo: once considered one of the most beautiful women of daytime TV, she apparently had quite some work done as well. And there are Cher, Meg Ryan, Courtney Love, Mylène Farmer, Britney Spears and plenty of others (incl. tons and tons of models and porn stars, many of whom are quite young) who seemingly had a number of procedures as well (Cher, Love and Spears have all admitted to some procedures at least). And we can add Marilyn Monroe to the list! Madonna's therefore not the only one. If much younger stars like Jenner or Spears had work done, why is it such a scandal for Mo to do the same? And it's not just surgery or botox or fillers or implants. It's also all the cleansing, exfoliating, all the creams, serums, sophisticated facial treatments (blue light, the MDNA Skin wand, etc.) + some sleep (I hope) and good make up. Madonna's just exposing what many, many—numerous girls are doing. Victoria Beckham said it best: "If you haven't got it, fake it!"
  14. Does anyone have a link to the full VMAs intro in HQ incl. her stage appearance? I can't find it unedited/undubbed on YouTube.
  15. Nice cool artwork. That said, I find this special edition rather basic (nothing previously unreleased). When you listen to an album in full, do you like to listen to that many extended mixes at the end? Maybe it would have been better to issue digital singles for all of the True Blue single releases.
  16. True, but at least it was released as a single and got the remix treatment. Faz Gostoso remained album-locked, and all those "Waiting for Anitta" teasers never materialized.
  17. Is anyone else having a blast reading comments on Madonna's FB page? Brenda Poe Dressman A 63 year old woman needs to close those legs!!! Damn woman, your two years from being a senior citizen!! Show some respect for yourself! Ana Rosa Martínez Brenda Poe Dressman every woman, no matter how old, needs to close her legs for a picture. It is disgusting. You can say a lot of things with your legs closed. Brenda Poe Dressman Ana Rosa Martínez absolutely Link to comments: https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=351533706321422&set=a.277168653757928&comment_id=351617212979738&__tn__=R*F LOL!!! I could do without these comments, but since they're there, let's have a laugh!
  18. This is a question regarding Madonna's 80s and 1990/1991 TV performances. Were there any TV performances for the True Blue, Who's That Girl, Like a Prayer and I'm Breathless albums aside from Causing a Commotion, Express Yourself and Vogue at the VMAs? There were lots of performances for The First Album and Like a Virgin (but none that I know of for Crazy for You, Gambler and Spotlight). I do remember seeing a short clip of a La Isla Bonita performance at some point, and it looked like it was not from the Who's That Girl Tour. It must have been filmed in 1987; I've never ever been able to find it anywhere. Anybody seen it? And finally, were there any TV performances of Justify My Love or Rescue Me ?
  19. The US Vogue CD maxi-single lists the first track as the "Single Version." They've simply omitted it on Spotify. The I'm Breathless version on Spotify should not be called "Edit".
  20. If true, not sure it's the whole concert. I'd need some receipts. Same thing when it comes to MDNA and Rebel Heart. I'm sure the Drowned World DVD has the actual live vocals (at least for the greater part of the concert). Re-Invention (the Lisbon footage) is quite live too. I'm still not convinced the Superbowl performance was fully lipped. The parts w/ CeeLo sounded live. Didn't they have ear monitors? Like a Prayer may have been live (supported by a backing track maybe).
  21. It seems like the DVD will contain newly shot scenes + scenes filmed during the actual concert + rerecorded vocals (maybe?) + live vocals. As for the Sticky & Sweet Tour DVD, is it true it was all dubbed at 100%? Live vocals can be corrected for a DVD release, right?
  22. @superbu Is the single version of Vogue ever played anymore on the radio?
