Noo she was a total pro before, and worked her ass harder than anybody in the industry. Now she does not and it shows.

I think she knows she cannot be popular anymore as she was so she does the opposite of trying to be liked, as a defense. In reality the ageist is she. She hates being older and she is not confortable in her own skin, in my opinion. I don´t see balanced as she seemed before, anymore, nor her work is.

So she wants to live in the ugliness, good for her, I would never stop saying I prefered her when she did beautiful things, like it or not. I must say she did something beautiful for a change: the words in homage to Olivia Newton John on her stories were short but really meaningful and heartfelt. Bravo!

I´m waiting, as I said, if she returns to certain of the shape she had before. And I enjoy discussing her past and what other fans thinks about her, past and present. I understand that you would prefer I quit here, is that correct?

Ok, I agree, the difference between us is really perception. I really don´t like what she is been doing since 2016, maybe one song or two, don´t like her pattern in interviews and imaginery, but she is likes to change so much, who knows if she can be better to my eyes on day again. I really envy you cause I would love the feel the passion about her that I felt, I would say till 2016, quite recently. But I just can´t. I play Madame X and for me the most part for me it´s terrible. And how much did I loved Mirwais work before, God knows. The only track that brings me the Madonna vibes of before is I´ll rise. Ciao Bella has some vibes of before. And since the release of this cd, all has been a downhill.

Yes in a way, but on another way, as in the case of Madonna, if you were, to start with, into great music with impresive melodies, orchestrations and amazing vocals as she did in, for example, ROL, and that´s why you became a fan, it is difficult to still being a fan judging what she has been releasing lately. Oks, she is always changing, she always have been, but always mantaining a level of excellence and perfectionism so missed lately. Could you tell me that she was so hardworking on every level, so inspired when she recorded something like Drowned World as she was when she recorded Future, Funana or Bith I´m loca. To me, she has not worked so inmensely as she did and that´s one of the reasons her work is not so brilliant anymore and she has not the succes she had once. And don´t tell me excuses like she is older and bla bla..she is not that old anyway, and senior people can still release great music if they want, and there are many many examples.

Neither do I, but hey, maybe there are people here that think that songs like Future are even better than The power of goodbye. I think Madonna has lost the ability to do songs like Time Stood Still or The power of goodbye or Like a prayer, that go right to the heart.

When started that thing about her having to be an actress, in the very first place? Was she the one who wanted to become one? Even though she did many movies I still can´t think of her as actress, not even a singer or even a dancer. I mean, as much as I love her, to me she is, as she once said a performance artist, and she uses many media and expressions in order to do it. For sure she is a pop artist and an icon. But an actress? Did she had any formal training at some point?

Yes Madame X is that great experimental kind of piece of art which is melodically, lirically, vocally a misunderstood masterpiece. For sure.

The funny thing is that she looked quite senior on the movie itself (which is not a bad thing, bad the way) LOL, but I mean, she was not that old, I almost her age at the time she did the movie and without make up, filters, massages surgeries and all the cares I think I look younger than hers on that movie. I read the role initially was made for a swimming teacher but she did not wanted to have anything to do with pools so she changed to yoga: wrong decition, made the character more like her, so the critics had more things to say against her.

Rebel heart had many gems, I agree.

Really? Is there a power of goodbye or a Ray of light among Bith I´m a loca and Funana..MMM I don´t think so. However I´m glad some fans love it at least. The general public was not with her this time and I can see why. When she does great music, people are masively with her.

I really love Time stood still and it has a special place in my heart, but at that time, after Beautiful Stranger and American Pie I think they wanted the public to be hungry for new songs cause she was already working on Music, so I suppose she had to be out of the spotlight for a while in order to do a proper comeback with Music. Oh, it worked brilliantly. What an era for being a fan, Music, the single and the recocord, came and were so strange yet fasciniting and well done and beauitufl and it did amazing on the charts. Most of pop artist would have explote more of the Orbit sound and a ROL 2, but not out girl, who found the way of reinventing herself one more time while staying at the top. I miss that Madonna so much.

Well, say what you want but for me the worst by miles is the last one, and with Madame X is the first time I thought she lost her talent to do pop songs that nobody can get out of their mind.

Ok, so I became a fan during her peak with ROL and later the Music album, so naturally I went to see TNBT to the cinema when it was premiered and never got to see it again till yesterday. Things that went through my mind, last night: The photography or the lighting or both are strange. The movie is not very exciting or good but it is watchable and not so bad as they say. Madonna looked gorgeus for some parts, specially with her ROL hair when the movie starts, but strange in other parts, why? And definitively like a experienced woman, which is not bad at all, but you can tell in order to look so youthful for the next 20 years she must have had A LOT of things done. Still, even though I don´t think her acting was so bad as they often say, it´s like it´s difficult seeing her a the girl next door in the movie, too much superstar power? The music it is pretty good. She never fails with songs for movie, she is incredibly talented for this. How do you see this one currently?

It feels to me she is more confortable with the idea of being a legacy artist? The tour maybe, the compilation, the movie? So has she surrended? It´s already been 3 years since the last record, but I see new music is not even in her plans..An artist is really alive when inspiration for new things is on its head. But I agree she seems in sweet mood, which I like much more than the latest rebel teenage one.

Then that would mean to me the last of the project, the closing one would be, and is Keep it together, no its b-side. One more thing, Supernatural was recorded in the same sessions as LAP, so for me it belongs to that era much more than Vogue. Vogue was done after recording the breathless disc, so for me she was already miles away from LAP.

But it was almost the b side of Keep it together, the 4th single of LAP that was coming at that time, as the promo era for LAP had not finished yet. But the vogue sessions had not nothing to do with the recording sessions of LAP, which she did with Pat Leonard and Stephan Bray between the end of 1988 and the start of 1989.

I think Vogue fits I´m breathless era cause she was trying to be seen at that time as a blonde superstar of the old screen era, like the ones she names in the song. It´s about how the frivolous part of you can make feel better, and I don´t think it suits at all the LAP concept, with those Pat Leornad songs about her mother and childhood and about being a rebel and expressing her opinions, the brunette Madonna opening her heart. For me it´s perfect in The inmaculate collection.

I think too MDNA was a perfect pop record for its time, I love it and have many great mem´ries about it and she looked amazing, but she also did with Rebel Heart. The only thing is that RH era was a mess between one thing and the other. But I would give an arm maybe for Madonna returning to that style of person and artist of those eras.

I like both albums and I lived intensely each era of them with her. Madame x for me is the overated piece of shit, disguised as a experimental piece of art and then you have her worst vocals ever and Bitch I´m a loca with Maluma and more gems like that. Anyway, it´s my view. About MDNA and Rebel Heart, I agree you put a 12 tracks collection with the best of them and you have two very good albums, putting out of them Birthday song, Autotune baby and even tracks that were in the main release, cause some special edition tracks were fucking amazing: Messiah, that song about Alain Delon, Best friend..

I like the AL cover but it´s not something like the ROL that I enjoy to look each time I have a chance. She was trying a che vibe on that but I did not really worked with her audience, maybe cause they want pop music, maybe cause it did not feel authentic..anyway, it´s a cover more, whereas the true blue one or rol one are pure icon on itself.

1.My sisters playings True Blue cassete in 1986, 1987. I was 4 and already in love with the iconic cover and the title track and it´s clip. 2.In 1998, 1999, after being listening on the radio again and again such amazing songs as The power of goodbye, frozen, Substitute for love, Nothing really matters...with tremendous clips. 3.I´d say with the quality of susbtitute for love I decided to buy the ROL cd around 1999 and that´s when I started my fandon. Then I remember the succes of American Pie all around the world and Music was forthcoming, what an exciting era was it. She was lovely singing, speaking on interviews, on her clips: everything was positive about her for me at that time.
