  1. But the Q-Sound wasn't successful 30 years ago (only in video-games). People didn't like the "Spatial Audio / 3D audio" in music.
  2. I like "Some Girls", but the "Bebe Rexha & Teddybears" demo it is amazing. I love it. And I still love MDNA like the first day (or even more).
  3. Yes, the single mix have a couple of new things (the moan, the extra "I believe", and a different structure) and sounds crisper than the album version. Happens the same with the US CD-Maxi, the single version sounds crisper. But this can be a case of different mastering because the album version belongs to a compilation and all the songs must have the same sound. So for me the 7'' is still a "classic edit" with new elements from the original multitracks (or maybe a new mix) but definitely it's not a remix like Express Yourself or Like A Prayer.
  4. I can’t hear the differences in "Rescue Me". I think it's just a simple album edit with an extra "I believe" not present in the album version.
  5. You are right. I mean, in True Blue era & Like A Prayer era, almots every commercial 7'' was an "enhanced" album version with new elements (at least in Europe).
  6. Open Your Heart remix only have three new things: Handclaps in the left channel, cowbelles, and a melody in the chorus (this melody is also present in the immaculate version remix). Also the mix its really different: more prominent Bass, the song is almost 2% slower, etc, etc. I think the Immaculate Remix is based in the 7'' Remix but the cowbelles and the handclaps are removed. It's the greatness of the old 7'' remixes. They sound like the album versions but so different when you pay attention to them. But this only happened with "True Blue" and "Like A Prayer" albums. Madonna returned to the classic edit without new elements with "Rescue Me".
  7. Three video mixes??? No, they are only two: - Original Video Version (4:58) available on Celebration DVD (and promotional VHS) (with or without the "Zipper" sound at the beginning) - Alternate Video Version (4:22) available on The Immaculate Collection DVD/LD/VHS
  8. I think its a turntable arm sliding over a vinyl disc... Anyway the "zipper sound" is present in the album version four or five times, but you can barely hear it (check multitracks). Many "new" sounds in the 7'' Remix are available originally in the album version (but the volume is too low).
  9. I would say that the CD era began in 1986/1987 worldwide. You can find "Papa Don't Preach" single even in Laser-Disc. So I think that Warner started to create digital versions around the True Blue era. You can find True Blue (Remix Edit) and La Isla Bonita (Remix Edit) on CDs made in 1986/1987. In my humble opinion "Papa Don't Preach" was the first real CD-Single (It was a small Laser-Disc, but you can play the audio part in any CD-player). Anyway, Madonna & Warner are not stupid, they know what versions we want (Oh no! I'm hearing Madonna laugh hysterically...)
  10. Believe or not, I didn't like the album version, but months later I loved with passion the 7'' Remix the first time I heard it (and the video house remix). I don't understand how people don't realize the difference between the album version and the 7'' Remix. I think the same with Like A Prayer (7'' Version) True Blue & Like A Prayer (albums) have the best 7'' remixes, because they sound like the album versions, but they are better versions.
  11. As far as I know, Like A Prayer (Bass Dub) & Like A Prayer (Dub Beats) were only released on vinyl, and now you can buy them in digital quality.
  12. I have the original promo and in my opinion this digital release have the same quality. No remaster, no volume change, nothing (and that is good).
  13. OH MY GOD!!!! The 7'' Remix and the Remix/Edit commercially available in digital form!!! Now I know that Open Your Heart (Remix a.k.a. Edit of Extended Version) and Fever (Edit Two) will be available in the future.
  14. You don't need "dogs ears". You only notice the difference if you have a really expensive Stereo system.
  15. I only buy physical copies (as a collector) but I always play lossless files (so my physical collection is still shiny and new).
  16. Live concerts are not speed up. Pal & NTSC versions have the same speed, but the original footage loses frames with the conversion (barely noticeable in old CRT TV). If the original footage was recorded in NTSC format, buy the NTSC version. If the original footage was recorded in PAL format, buy the PAL version. PS: My Girlie Show DVD has one side with the audio in Stereo, and the other side with the audio in 5.1
  17. Video from Youtube (untouched) with 5.1 audio (AC3) & Stereo (PCM) from Celebration DVD: [Hidden Content] Enjoy it.
  18. It's just the PAL and NTSC difference. I've used the spanish dub from my PAL DVD (changing the speed) with the american Blu-ray (same NTSC DVD running time) without any problem.
  19. I don't know why Warner didn't released an "enhanced" Like A Prayer album, including Supernatural & Vogue. The sales would have been huge. Vogue don't fit in "I'm Breathless" (In my opinion).
  20. So if the original version of Vogue is on the japanese promo, then the original planned single of "Keep It Together" would be something like this: [Hidden Content] I love the transition between Keep It Together and Vogue. Works really well...
  21. So the original version was send to Warner Japan before to be A-side?
  22. There is nothing new in the japanese version. It's just the song edited using parts from the single version and the 12'' version. Am I the only one who notes the changes of volume and EQ when you play the song? (Check the song at 2:02 and 4:35) Forget this, it was a normalize thing from my music player. For me, in my opinion, this is a local japanese edit (official but local) not from a master tape mixed by Shep Pettibone.
  23. Vogue from Japanese promo: [Hidden Content] As I said, for me It's just the single version and the 12'' version mixed in different points.
  24. It's like the single version mixed with the end of the 12'' version.
  25. I really love MDNA and the tour. Why I love this album? Because I feel a happy Madonna, who enjoy singing and dance her songs joking with her "dark side". And I feel so good when I play the full album... Except for "Superstar", "B-Day Song", and "Best Friend" I love the rest of tracks. Of course, MDNA it's not her best album, but for me is one of her best albums. Unfortunately, this was the last era that I really feel her like the queen of the pop/dance music.
