I know all our assumptions might not be true but it's akward to hear that Madonna's label wouldn't allow her to release a double album but would be more than eager to release 3 different CD packages to prove that Madonna fans still buy her music and push the whole project a bit higher in the charts. From a marketing perspective it does sound ambitious, but from an artistic one not so much. Madonna doesn't seem to be the free artist people are used to talk about. Whatever.

I heard Christina had the same issues with Back to Basics but she won in the end.

It's quite disappointing since we got used to #1 albums since 2000... But I guess it's just a number, some of her best albums like Erotica and Ray of Light were #2 as well, so it's not that dramatic after all. I wonder what's so interesting about that Empire soundtrack... I had never heard about it til this week

Back to the topic 'the Rebel Heart album', do you think it will reach #1 on the Billboard 200? I think there's still some hope after all the Ellen performances and next week IHeart Awards.
