  1. I trust you @bertrand (I remember you from the DJ Rico Mixshow forum days) but I swear I remember being out in D.C. right around when GHV2 was released and Barry or Chris (or both) were spinning and they played a few of the remixes from some of the songs in the megamix. Maybe they were just mixing in and out of the Club Megamix.
  2. Not sure why my reply isn't here anymore. Was it deleted by moderators? I was trying to provide context and additional info: Extended mixes of individual songs from the GHV2 megamix WERE created by Barry Harris and Chris Cox of Thunderpuss. They played them in their live sets back then. And, if my memory is correct, they used to have an internet radio show once a month or something where they played a few of them. There's even an interview somewhere from back then where Barry discussed how he created the GHV2 megamix where he mentions making individual extended remixes from some of the songs.
  3. Pretty sure Diplo is a little bicurious.... I mean, Orville Peck has a song about him that raised a few eyebrows. And Diplo famously has said that it doesn't make you gay to get a bj from another guy.
  4. I'm not arguing about vocals. I don't care. I'm answering his question about why the AUDIENCE is seen seemingly singing out of sync with the performance. That's all. Y'all can argue about polished vocals but leave me out of it.
  5. There is audio delay in live performances. The live feed you hear in the video was a direct feed from the mixing board with no delay. The audience at the concert is hearing an output signal to the speakers - which inherently have a slight delay. That's why it looks like they're singing out of sync when you watch the broadcast.
  6. Pretty sure I entered this contest back in the day. I remember my remix was really dark and tribal - a sound I was into back then. I used drum elements from this track to create the skeleton of the mix. It sounded okay for an (at the time) amateur remixer. I could take a better stab at it today. I think the only copy I have is boxed up in my attic somewhere.
  7. Errrr….. but Nashville was cancelled.
  8. • Unless I just didn't see it, I think she missed the lift in Justify My Love in Pittsburgh. • Dallas Night 1 - her shoe got caught in the big black robe during Take a Bow and she almost slipped. • Not a Madonna blooper but during Night 2 in Dallas, right before she rises up from the floor to start Bedtime Stories a crew member ran over to the stage and wiped the floor down. Not sure if they do that every night or if there was too much sweat that night. When he was hurrying to wipe the floor, he slipped and knocked 3 of the lights at the end of the stage off the stage. A second crew member ran over to pick them up and make sure they were plugged in properly. The fear in their eyes made me giggle.
  9. Can anyone make out what she's saying into the mic between lines of La Isla Bonita? Seems like she's ready for this tour to be over.
  10. Yes. Ugh. It's like she was trying to hype everyone up for a basketball game and not a Madonna concert.
  11. I wish Stuart had been the DJ at one of my shows in Dallas or Pittsburgh. The female DJ that was at both stops was *horrible* and kept cutting into songs to scream at the audience. Everyone around me at all 3 shows mentioned how cringe she was.
  12. It's not Madonna. Those vocals originate from this song.
  13. There should be a picture of every fan who's waited on a proper release of the BAT since 1990. We've been fucked by her the most.
  14. For what it's worth - The watercolor True Blue tshirt online also shows this distressed look but when I received mine it was just a normal tshirt.
  15. Everyone around me on the floor in Pittsburgh thought that there would be another section of songs after Bitch I'm Madonna/Celebration. The guy beside me knew I had seen the show before and asked me "what's the encore?" He was disappointed when I said "thats the whole show." I don't know what I would do differently to end the show though. Maybe adding in a balloon-drop or confetti to the ending would put more of a punctuation on the end of the show.
  16. Because she's not. Granted, it's a difficult song to sing. Bring back Rain. It was more uplifting going into the finale and she can sing it properly.
  17. PIttsburgh was AMAZING. The opening DJ SUCKED. She stopped the music every 5 seconds to scream "let's go!" or "get up!" into the microphone. She could NOT read the room. It would have been hilarious if it wasn't so cringe. Where was Stuart?! The Vogue guest was some local drag queen who Madonna clearly got annoyed with. Instead of throwing the football she walked halfway down the catwalk to give it to the dancer. Ruining the choreography. Madonna had to pick up her jaw off the floor. The audacity! LOL She sang Express Yourself which was amazing. She messed up the phrasing during one part and then seemed to get lost and forget the lyrics in another. I think maybe one of the guitar chords snapped in the middle of the song too. Not bad at all - she laughed it off and ended up singing the chorus two extra times at the end to make up for it. She said "I'll get my shit together. I promise." She spoke at length about how her grandparents lived in Pittsburgh and she would visit every summer. There was a 19 year old girl sitting next to me who saw Madonna in NYC as her first show just a few weeks prior. She loved it so much that she bought tickets to the Pittsburgh show. The guy on the other side of me was freaking out a little bit. Perhaps on the autism spectrum (not sure). He was ready to leave before the show started because of the crowd and I wouldn't let him. I held his hand for the first song or two so that he could calm down. Beautiful moment honestly. He stayed for the whole show and we had a great time being seat buddies. Mother & Father was an unexpected treat. David sounds amazing. Major star quality. Great show! I can't wait to see it again next month!
  18. Elvis made $289 million. Rocketman made $195 million Bohemian Rhapsody made $350 million
  19. It's where you're sitting. It's hard for touring shows to get the acoustics perfect in each city. I heard everything crystal clear in Pittsburgh from the floor (5 rows from the end of the catwalk).
  20. She's likely only including Frozen because of the insane winter cold front moving through North America (potentially threatening upcoming shows) right now. Hopefully we will be back to Rain soon. Rain isn't perfect (she should include the bridge). But Frozen does not work in this section and we have been blessed with it on numerous tours before. #JusticeForRain
  21. The song uses the Korg M1 Piano which Vogue and THOUSANDS of other songs around that time and since also used. That's about it.
  22. We had an AMAZING performance of Frozen during the Madame X Tour. This version is lackluster. A bad remix. And, within the flow of the show, it slows things down with it's somber-ness. Rain, though maybe not a better song than Frozen, is much more uplifting and works better in this section before the finale. It also hasn't been performed in nearly 30 years. It's a nice moment that doesn't work the same with Frozen in it's place. My vote is for Rain to stay and Frozen to go away.
  23. 1) The venue has all of the information of the ticket buyer (assuming they bought from the official ticketing platform and not from a 3rd party) 2) The venues send out ticket info emails to ticket purchasers before the show containing info on parking, entry, traffic, etc. Venues are also often also responsible for sending out VIP info (meet-and-greets, special entrances, etc). 3) The show renting the venue provide the start/stop time for the act prior to these emails deploying to ticket purchasers. They are simply relaying information given to them by the promoter (Live Nation/Madonna) to their ticket purchasers.
