Tbh I didnt see the full mexico show but the moment I saw Salma as Frida...fuck, it made me emotional. It definitely felt like the real end to Celebration and the summation of her as an artist. I really hope they keep only Salma in the show edit but they probably will pull a Rebel Heart and do a montage of everyone.

Just my own personal conjecture, this tour was solely to garner good press and funds for the biopic. If she hadnt gotten sick, the tour would've ended in December and she would've had 2024 free to do whatever she had to for the film and probably release whatever reissue along with it etc

Yup. I think the beginning of the end was when Gaga did the camp one and there were only internet celebs. It REALLY went down hill once all the influencers and Kardashians became the focus. Covid also hurt it immensely when they had to postpone it to September or August that year. To be fair though, celebrities are becoming less and less of a thing.

Rumored video for Holiday that photos on set were used for i-D magazine. I think someone debunked that though. Angel never had a video but I'm curious if there was at least a video treatment drafted. Like a Prayer there were alternate scenes filmed of her diving off some high diving board but footage wasnt used because she allegedly looked like a shivering rat. Awful. Hopefully she doesnt hire him to do the shoot for the next album. The money thing is so unbelievably tacky and tasteless. Why doesnt she just work with a new unknown photographer if she doesnt want to work with the same people she's worked with before? Even Pat was rumored to have worked with her for thr biopic not to mention had him score I Am Because We Are in 2008. Plus she's worked with Jonas for 25 years and Klein for 20 years. I would say most of us have relationships that last both that long and cut out that many people especially when we reach the age of 65.
