  1. I love this album. Banger after banger. 4 Minutes, Beat Goes On, Give it 2 me, Dance 2 Night, Candy Shop, Miles Away, Voices, Devil, Heartbeat....ok I'm listing them all Hell, even the unreleased Across The Sky, Animal and The Feeling is so Crazy are amazing! Oh and Get Stupid! Such a funky, fun and honest album
  2. This album had to grew on me, it's good but not my favorite by any means. The title track, to me, is the worst song of her career, the original video was the only plus it had and she ditched it for the other one with the flags, tragic. I agree with @Liam, the artwork was way too aggressive for such an intimate and confessional album (for the most part). There are some incredible songs like Easy Ride, X Static Process, Intervention, Die Another Day, Nobody Knows Me....but then you also have I'm so Stupid and the title track and I'm still not very fond of the fan favorite Love Profusion, it just lacks something. I'm happy this album became a fan favorite anyway, everything that she does has to be loved, even if some of us don't feel this album as much. Happy birthday AL!
  3. Lucky Star, Material Girl, La Isla Bonita, Like a Prayer, Vogue, Deeper and Deeper, Sanctuary, Frozen, Don't Tell Me, Nobody Knows Me, Future Lovers, 4 Minutes, Love Spent, Messiah.
  4. They basically excluded the "flop brigade" (MDNA, HC, AL,RH), so predictable as much as I adore I'm Breathless I'd rather see Rebel Heart or American Life than it in a M album rank, sorry
  5. Rebel Heart and Bedtime Stories are not only underrated but overlooked. Hope they'll be studied and analysed properly one day, there's stellar material on both of them and some of her deepest and most personal lyrics.
  6. Yes, Hung Up is overrated. While still being a great and iconic song, I always look at it like a damage control move, which isn't a bad thing per se, especially after an era like AL, but anyway....I prefer Sorry, Get Together and other COADF album tracks to it, they have more life and soul. LAV is such a great pop track, Madonna brings life to songs she doesn't even write, that's an example of it. I listened to the LAV album today and the title track is just timeless, it's one of her defining hits. I don't think it is overrated not only because of this but because M herself continuously reinvents it on stage, that's a big plus
  7. By the general public/critics? She doesn't have one, they never really accepted her 100%, despite her becoming the most successful female artist of all time. By fans? Confessions on a dance floor is the one, not even the (well deserved) ROL worship gets on my nerves like that.
  8. RH Tour DVD is Platinum in France (15.000 copies)
  9. 4 Minutes is such a huge tune! I love it The final breakdown is life!!!! I always dance to it ahaha It was everywhere back then. Oh and random fact: it is Madonna's most watched video on a daily basis on YT, gaining 83.000 views per day (avg) hope it can reach 100 million views in a couple of years.
  10. This. Her most overlooked album ever together with Rebel Heart. Both in my top 3, I must have a soft spot for underrated albums Erotica slowly got the acclaim, praise and analysis it deserved and I'm happy for it, such a groundbreaking era, as I've stated earlier in this thread
  11. We just have to wait and see. We know nothing really....I think album is still coming first though.
  12. It's all over the Internet http://variety.com/2018/film/news/madonna-directing-ballerina-movie-taking-flight-1202725212/ Madonna will direct the MGM drama “Taking Flight,” based on the life of ballerina Michaela De Prince. The studio has been developing “Taking Flight” since 2015, when it first bought rights to Michaela and Elaine DePrince’s memoir, “Taking Flight: From War Orphan to Star Ballerina.” The book follows Michaela DePrince’s life from an orphan in war-torn Sierra Leone to a world-renowned ballerina. “Michaela’s journey resonated with me deeply as both an artist and an activist who understands adversity,” Madonna said. “We have a unique opportunity to shed light on Sierra Leone and let Michaela be the voice for all the orphaned children she grew up beside. I am honored to bring her story to life.” Madonna will direct from a screenplay by Camilla Blackett (“New Girl”). Alloy Entertainment’s Leslie Morgenstein and Elysa Koplovitz Dutton will produce alongside Ben Pugh and Guy Oseary. MGM Production president Jonathan Glickman and Tabitha Shick are overseeing the project on behalf of the studio. “We were immediately awestruck by Michaela’s journey and know Madonna’s vision and passion for the material will deliver a film that inspires audiences everywhere,” Morgenstein said. DePrince was adopted at the age of four and taken to the United States by Elaine and Charles DePrince. She was featured in the 2012 ballet documentary “First Position” and later debuted as a professional dancer at the age of 17 in the Joburg Ballet in South Africa. She appeared in Beyonce’s “Lemonade” in 2016 and is currently a soloist at the Dutch National Ballet. Madonna made her feature directing debut on the 2008 British comedy “Filth and Wisdom.” She also helmed and co-wrote 2011’s “W.E.,” which chronicled the relationship between King Edward VIII and American divorcee Wallis Simpson. Her upcoming projects include co-writing and directing a film adaptation of Andrew Sean Greer’s novel “The Impossible Lives of Greta Wells.” Madonna also produced and wrote “I Am Because We Are,” a documentary about Malawi’s million orphans in the wake of the AIDS pandemic. She is the highest-selling female recording artist of all time, with more than 300 million albums sold worldwide. Glickman said, “We could not be more thrilled that Madonna will bring this remarkable story to the big screen. There is no director better suited to tell Michaela’s journey with passion and sensitivity, and we cannot wait to bring this film to audiences all around the world.” MGM teamed with Alloy on the romantic drama “Everything, Everything,” based on Nicola Yoon’s best-selling novel. The studio also produced “Me Before You,” inspired by Jojo Moyes’ international best-seller, and “If I Stay,” based on Gayle Forman’s young adult best-seller. MGM’s upcoming slate includes a pair of projects directed by women: Ry Russo-Young’s “The Sun Is Also a Star” and Rachel Lee Goldenberg’s “Valley Girl.” Its other films are “The Hustle,” a comedy starring Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson; “Fighting With My Family,” a comedy-drama with Florence Pugh, Vince Vaughn, and Dwayne Johnson; “Operation Finale,” toplined by Oscar Isaac and Ben Kingsley; and “Creed II,” starring Sylvester Stallone and Michael B. Jordan.
  13. Lovely video but the quality could have been better
  14. Exciting news but yeah it seems more of a remix/instrumental thing. Bring it Pat!
  15. Smart move. MDNA Skin will benefit from this.
  16. Justify My Love, absolutely. OYH, HN and DTM are such masterpieces too...
