Incredibly overrated:
Time Stood Still
To Have And Not To Hold
Little Star
Masterpiece
Love Spent
Falling Free
What It Feels Like For A Girl (Above & Beyond remix)
Something To Remember (well, everything on I'm Breathless with the exception of Vogue)
Somewhat overrated, but still fine:
Human Nature
Nothing Fails
Mer Girl
Just my opinion, don't hate me :-P

Are we to some Jewish holiday or GP has just stanning TASTE at all?
By the way, isn't it Purim time, @Honey Little???
Well, Confessions's non-singles are all performing well; even the divisive I Love New York and Push.

Italy, while important, is not the whole world, so again, you're talking from your own perspective and memories. Which is OK, of course.
But we can't measure the impact or not of a pre-streaming song by its current streaming and YouTube numbers. That's cheating a little bit. We should see all those songs you mention numbers if Spotify and YouTube had been around when they were released. And of course that's impossible to do.
In the end she's an old world artist navigating the new streaming world, catching up.
You're partially right. But if we have a look at her most streamed albums and tracks, are we really surprised to see LAV, TB and COADF on top? And the various La Isla Bonita, Like a Virgin, Hung Up, Vogue, Frozen, Music on her top 20? I don't think so; and I also guess that top 20 won't change anytime soon.
Yes, I was expecting higher numbers for Ray of Light and Music, I'm pleasantly surprised to see Sorry, Jump, Give It 2 Me and American Pie performing better than expected, but overall, both on Spotify and YouTube, the streaming numbers are favoring her most successful/popular hits.
Also, the fact that some videos aren't getting more streaming because they were realeased before YouTube isn't holding up, sorry: apart from her '80s works, Frozen, Die Another Day, Take a Bow, Don't Tell Me, etc etc are all videos from the pre-YouTube era, and they are performing better than the various Hollywood, WIFLFAG and Human Nature - which despite its amazing video, was never a massive hit.
Peace and love.

The best version.

What It Feels Like For A Girl is still played on radio in Aus actually. I wouldn't say its completely forgotten.
Album version or remix?

That's a way to put it, but did it even have a chance in the first place?
Like I said, it wasn't even available on streaming before 2021, plus it was a weird single release anyway: the remix was used for the video (banned anyway in many places and released on DVD) but it didn't even touch radio, where the original album version was promoted (shortened for radio), and also later on "GHV2".
Of course general public and casual fans don't remember the remix, the video wasn't even played that much back then and then it was completely forgotten by her since 2001 until it reached streaming in 2021 and then the "Finally Enough Love" compilation in 2022.
And despite all this, it's one of the only 14 remixes out of the 50 included on "Finally Enough Love" to be above 1M streams on Spotify. The 12'' remix on the digital single is also above 1M.
The video is still higher than "Erotica", "Hollywood", "Bad Girl", "Human Nature" and many others of hers on YouTube. Her YouTube numbers in general, apart from "La Isla", "Hung Up" and a few more obvious hits, are not that great to begin with.
In Italy the video was regularly aired, and it didn't generate any controversy: in fact, it literally came and went.
And let's face it: the remix isn't doing great numbers because it's pretty generic and forgettable... as far as Erotica, Hollywood, Bad Girl and Human Nature are concerned, I'm not surprised either: great videos, but the singles didn't perform greatly on the charts as well as on the radio stations.
Even though I like/love them, I've always felt that - due to the relative flops of Erotica and American Life - they didn't have any chance to become "real" classics. Even in the long term.

Yep, but one thing is their respective commercial success at the time at their current streaming numbers. Two different things. :-)
True "Jump" has stood the test of time on Spotify, the others... not that much. That said, the "WIFLFAG" remix wasn't available on streaming until 2021, so of course its numbers will never be as high as the others (no excuse for "Hollywood" in that sense!).
WIFLFAG remix gets 1500/2000 streams per day: for a single promoted with a video, it's performing poorly. And on YouTube, the video isn't doing great numbers either.
In few words, it didn't stand the test of time.

I don't recall "Jump" being massive in Europe? Just a medium hit, like "Get Together". Checking Wikipedia "Jump" was just #19 on the European Hot 100 Singles chart (Billboard) and "Get Together" #18. The two monster hits of that album were "Hung Up" and "Sorry" of course, both #1 on that chart.
It didn't sell a lot of physical copies, but when it comes to radio airplay, yes, Jump was pretty successful; just like Hung Up and Sorry, italian local radios regularly play it... I can't talk about other european countries, but if you have a look at Spotify numbers, it's among her 40 most streamed songs (top 30 if you ignore the double versions and the various remixes).
On the other hand, we can't say the same about the mediocre numbers of Hollywood and WIFLFAG (in particular the remix that it's among her least streamed singles).

The Power Of Good-bye is still one of her highest streamed singles despite not being on Celebration; it probably should've been.
I'm still surprised that we got Hollywood and Miles Away but not The Power of Goodbye... or Jump and Give It 2 Me that were massive in Europe.

I think Love spent was quite good, even it it "borrows" from ABBA's "Gimme gimme gimme", although few people noticed
I think it's one of the worst Madonna songs, but ok...

He wants to work with Madonna again? I hope NO!
First, I don't want a Ray of Light 2 just like I don't want a Confessions 2; second, in 2000 Orbit's sound was already dated (Amazing and Runaway Lover are Music's weaker tracks); and third, his MDNA tracks were painful to listen to, including Masterpiece.

100%! The only people who don't like it are snobs rock purists and Madonna herself. It's a great track with beautiful vocals and an inspired edit of the original.
I'd say that a lot of Madonna fans hate that cover (not me of course), but its streaming numbers show that general public loves American Pie.

Excuse me, but I had to fix u.
One day she'll look to American Pie the same way she recently did to American Life, don't worry!!!
I actually like Hard Candy.
Since its release.

Considering the MASSIVE success of the title track, I'm surprised that it hasn't higher streaming numbers; actually ROL and Music are performing worse than Hard Candy...

RH was a big step in the right direction and spawned truly great tracks but the roll out, track list, visuals for each version of the album was messy as all fuck. Not cohesive and felt amateur.
MX also step in the right direction but if she had focused on natural, warm vocals for the songs, instead of her odd “artistic choice” of robotic vocals it would’ve been received better, IMO. That said I absolutely loved the MX shows I’ve been to.
Yes, both of them were two missed opportunities.

I don't know why a minority of you are complaining about Popular being basic, it was never meant to be anything more than a fun little bop and nobody had interest in really promoting it. I am pleased that it seems to have so much stability on the charts. Nobody would rank it among Madonna or Abels best songs, its not Like A Prayer or Blinding Lights and again its not meant to be. I should also point out that I really appreciate how much Abel genuinely seems to like Madonna, he gave her a prominent part in the song and he has repeatedly shared positive stuff about her on his social media, its not like he just used her name for attention and gave her 5 seconds in the song. Things are finally starting to look up, she has gotten some good exposure, she is looking good lately in prep for Celebration Tour and opening night is getting close. I think all of us should be feeling very pleased. I just hope that everything goes off smoothly without any injury or disastrous performances., its time Madonna remind everyone why she is fucking Madonna.
I guess this fine song is a tasty appetizer for a "bigger" collaboration... a whole album would be very welcomed, and it could help Madonna's career and popularity after a string of disappointing failures.

I will take the verve and the freshness of POPULAR every day of my life over this banal, pretentious, overrated bore :-)

If you have to condemn an entire decade in order to write about how popular Popular is for you, then you're doing something wrong.
Girl Gone Wild, Masterpiece, Hard Candy?
OMG! Popular is 'so popular'I like Hard Candy: I can't say it's among her best works, but at least it's a solid, "coherent" album with some killer tracks.

I'll take the simplicity of a song like POPULAR over over-produced garbage like GIRL GONE WILD, for example.
Or total bore such as Masterpiece.
And let's not forget other over-produced garbage such as Love Spent, inexplicably loved by several Madonna fans.
Anyway, am I the only one who has noticed that the fans who praise those sh*tty songs are the same who treat with disdain countless good/great Madonna songs?
