  1. I don't know the rest of the world, but in Italy I'll Remember is still played at the radio stations, same with Causing A Commotion, Jump, Give It 2 Me and You'll See; therefore I wouldn't call them "underrated"... in fact, it seems to me that they are appreciated by casual listeners, as proven by Spotify streaming numbers and Youtube visualizations. Underrated singles? Well, a lot; Angel, Gambler, Rain, Deeper And Deeper, Bad Girl, The Look Of Love, Oh Father, Bedtime Story, Nothing Really Matters, Drowned World, What It Feels Like For A Girl (unpopular opinion: the video remix is forgettably generic and it didn't help the track), Impressive Instant (yeah, I know it was only promotional), I Want You, Get Together (it deserved a better video) could and should have been more successful. As far as Human Nature, Keep It Together, Hollywood, Love Profusion, Die Another Day, American Life, One More Chance, Nothing Fails, Miles Away, Fever, Love Don't Live Here Anymore and Rescue Me are concerned, sorry, to me are just ok songs, nothing else. And Masterpiece is a bland, overrated ballad.
  2. Well, while I don't think that Nothing Fails is a bad song (just an ok ballad) I don't get all the praise such as "Madonna most underrated song!", "One of her best ballads!" or "Should have been American Life's lead single!"... come on, any ballad on Music is vastly superior.
  3. There's a little difference: ok, in the past we had stupid (and bad) songs Cry Baby, Can't Stop, Spanish Lesson, Love Makes To World Go Round etc etc, but they were the exception, not the rule... whereas on the last three albums there's an unbelievable amount of garbage. P.S. I overall appreciate Madame X, but it's not exempted from the issues that have plagued the '10.
  4. And what about ultra boring ballads such Something To Remember? Are they better?
  5. Anyway, It really baffles me that with all the garbage released during the '10, some fans put Take a Bow, Nobody's Perfect, WIFLFAG, Survival, Erotica, The Look of Love and so on on a worst songs list... I mean, I understand that we are talking about personal tastes and musical preferences, but sometimes I think it's more a matter of antipathy as well as superficiality. For instance, I'm not very fond of beloved songs such as Ray Of Light and Human Nature, and I've always found Little Star, To Have And Not To Hold and Time Stood Still incredibly generic and/or boring, but I wouldn't call them "bad", "horrible" or "Madonna worst songs". But to each his own. My list: Everything on I'm Breathless (most overrated album ever) with the exception of Vogue and Sooner or Later. Everything on MDNA with the exception of Gang Bang and I'm Addicted. Everything on Rebel Heart with the exception of Ghostown, Messiah and HeartBreakCity (they aren't all that great, but they aren't bad either). Then Medellin, Future, Come Alive, Bitch I'm Loca, Champagne Rosè, Funana and Back That Up.
  6. And let me guess, WIFLFAG and I Deserve It are bad but Joan of Arc is good? Madonna fans are an inexhaustible source of surprises :-D
  7. To me it's one of her most boring song... it's not bad, just flat and monotonous.
  8. No, IMHO the most overrated album is Ray of Light - which it's a great album per se, but far from perfect due to some ultra boring songs such as To Have And Not To Hold, Little Star and Has to Be... I also don't get the appeal of Mer Girl, Candy Perfume Girl and Shanti, but that's just me.
  9. I think Hanky Panky is pretty silly, and not on a good way, but it's far from being Madonna's worst song... anyway, I've always hold I'm Breathless in low regard, therefore I would easily put Cry Baby and More on a "worst songs list". And almost every song from MDNA and Rebel Heart would be part of such list
  10. Easy choice: DON'T TELL ME. Unpopular opinion: WIFLFAG's video is trash... in fact, Guy Ritchie is one of the most overrated directors of the past twenty years.
  11. Well, these are the songs I despise the most... but I could put almost every track of MDNA and Rebel Heart ;-) HOLY WATER I DON'T GIVE A LOVE SPENT MASTERPIECE SOME GIRLS TURN UP THE RADIO UNAPOLOGETIC BITCH I'M A SINNER JOAN OF ARC WASH ALL OVER ME (album version)
  12. Unpopular opinion: I find American Life pretty overrated... while it's not a bad album per se, it's far from the masterpiece that many fans claim: in fact, it totally lacks a killer track, and since the mix of electronica and folk was already established in the far superior Music, its sound wasn't experimental at all. Of course I realize that some lyrics are among the best Madonna has ever crafted, but - despite some magnificent songs such as Easy Ride - American Life doesn't fully work on its premise of a political, introspective, experimental concept album. And sorry, but the title track largely deserved the flop as well as the derision: it's a badly written, badly sung, badly produced mess with an embarrassing rap. You may not like it, but Confessions is on another league: it's an effortless, almost flawless piece of work where Madonna show her talent with the dance music. P.S. As far as the videos are concerned, yeah, American Life is overall superior, but the Reinvention Tour pales in comparison to the Confessions Tour (which also compensates the bland videos of Jump and Get Together).
  13. Anyway, Don't Tell Me, Gone and the album version of What It Feels Like For A Girl are my favourite songs.
  14. When the opinion is really questionable, replying is almost a constitutional right :-D And it seems to me that you are the one who is feeling terrible pain. Have a nice day.
  15. Well, it's just your opinion: WIFLFAG is a great, underrated song... Music's worst tracks are Amazing and Runaway Lover.
  16. I've always thought that everyone loved Jump, American Pie, Take a Bow and Don't Tell Me, but I've noticed that a lot of fans despise them. Well, I absolutely love such songs.
  17. A lot of fans praise MER GIRL as an introspective masterpiece. It could be, I appreciate the lyrics, the musical ambition, but there's something that doesn't convince me. Same with SPANISH EYES.
  18. To Have And Not To Hold: sorry, I find it incredibly boring... I like the intro but then it becomes repetitive. Mer Girl, Miles Away, Devil Pray, Keep It Together, Spanish Eyes, Human Nature, Devil Wouldn't Recognize You: don't misunderstand me, they are absolutely fine songs, but I don't get the hype... they are good, but far from great.
  19. I add; Love Spent: unlistenable. Girl Gone Wild: trash. I Don't Give A: TRASH. Falling Free: yawn... I'm A Sinner: Orbit that repeats himself for the umpteenth time. Beautiful Killer: Die Another Day 0.2 I Fucked Up: puerile. Joan Of Arc: the bad copy of What It Feels Like For A Girl. Holy Water: offensive. Inside Out: pointless. Wash All Over Me: a stellar demo reduced to a soporific ballad. Rebel Heart: generic. Best Night: the bad copy of Erotica's sound. Medellin: no comment. Future: irritating. Dark Ballet: sorry, it's not experimental, it's downright bad. Come Alive: that nasal voice... Looking For Mercy: pompous.
