  1. I find it weird how some obsess over her looks. I think she looks fantastic for her age. I am not naive to think she hasn't had some help along the way, but I also know she's taken great shape of her body and skin. She deserves some credit for that. Also, it's not like we don't see her without the filters and photoshop. There are plenty of opportunities we get pap shots of her and she still looks just as great. Whatever work she has had done specifically to her face, I don't feel has been over done. Of course, I understand sometimes fillers or botox can plump her face up a bit unnaturally, but I don't really care. For the most part, she always looks fine. I don't get this insisting need to keep bringing up her looks. It's usually always done to demean her. For some, this is all they talk about regarding her. I rarely hear this coming from the general public either. I wish some fans could appreciate her more, rather find ways to pick apart her faults. She's human like everyone else. She has her insecurities and she obviously comes off to me as someone really happy right now and living her best life.
  2. Ugh, I hope that isn't the case. I can't see why these online stores can't start shipping before the release date, to insure customers get it on the due date. I'm not referring only to her official store. I think the same for Amazon, etc. If it's supposed to be released on the 19th, then start shipping them out within a reasonable time before hand.
  3. I really don't believe she was serious when she said that. Still, I remember a lot of people commented about her teeth as far back as the 80's, saying, "she needs to fix that gap". Imagine living your whole life with that sort of society thinking? I wouldn't blame her for feeling insecure about them as she may have been giving a hard time about them from an early age. The thing is; I would think she would have had them fixed very early on in her career if she had an issue with them. But I don't believe she was being serious when she said what she said on the show.
  4. I finally caught this the other day as well. I felt the film was more about his manager and his effect on Elvis. The film portrays Elvis more as naive. The film did manage to show key moments in his career, but his career was so massive, even for nearly a three hour film, it would be hard to do a proper biopic on him. I feel the same with Madonna, but then again I'm a fan, so there is so much more I'm interested than the general public cares about. I don't think any biopic, no matter who writes it or directs will satisfy us fans completely. For the general population, it will be enough for them to get an idea who Madonna is and what she's accomplished.
  5. Are you referring to the 6 lp set? If so, you are risking not getting a copy or paying far more since it's "sold out". We can hop more will be available, but I have a feeling that it's more limited than the other formats!!
  6. I thought I had heard Britney isn't interested in rectifying her career at this time, so is this just wishful thinking? Britney would probably get a lot of attention nevertheless if she did release a new album. Madonna being included on one of the tracks would be great publicity for both, but it doesn't guarantee a successful song. I would think for the most part people would be interested in it just for the fact two huge stars are tied to it. I wasn't a huge fan of MATM, and it was pretty much a mix reception by the public. It's possible such a collab from both would attract attention to a song, but it wouldn't mean it would be a great song. In the end, both artists would get some welcomed attention either way.
  7. Anyway, I can't wait for the Biopic. Madonna will give us her perspective and that's what I want to hear. Not the hearsay and what others think they know! A script like this may still take some time because Madonna is fighting those who want a "HOLLYWOOD" version of things. And while I suspect Madonna will want to paint a certain version, it hardly is a version that follow the typical Biopics that have been released.
  8. My thought is that she is highly polarizing. She continues to reach out to newer generations with each era, but some get stuck in that era they love the most. It's understandable to a point. But I've learned as a fan, very early on, she doesn't stick to one formula. What is crazy to me is those who get upset when she works with hip hop or urban artists when that has been part of who she's been from day one. There were times she went with the times, but most of all, she stuck her neck out and risked her career, by going against the norm. Like A prayer album began that journey, which confused those who love True Blue album and that era of fans. The same goes between albums like ROL and Confession versus American Life and Hard Candy. They all contrast each other. So some fans can't wrap their head around an artist who can produce such a POP/Dance album, only to turn around to produce an R&B/Hip Hop album.
  9. This is a great point you made. I think this is one reason Madonna has been very welcoming to use rap/hiphop/R&B artist and producers. She's done that from day one! It's strange to see fans object to her doing so. I know a lot of her most popular songs have been dance oriented, but let's not forget even Erotica is very deep in R&B/Hip Hop/Rap. Most fans love that album. So it's weird for me to read/hear from some who have a problem with her working with current artists of the same genres. Madonna is quite versatile. She doesn't discriminate who she works with. She's always leaned this direction most of her career. Even Like A Prayer has R&B vibes. It was the True Blue album that made her more about POP music, and some fans are stuck on that or the Ray of Light album, which is electronic/dance. But even when she moved on to the MUSIC album, it wasn't the same genre as ROL. When she moved on with Confessions, that was dance, but that was very different from what she's already done.
  10. The thing is; I don't remember fans or even the general public was bothered she sported the gold tooth. It worked well with the era. To me, Madonna is very much involved with a genre that she isn't most popular with among a lot of her fans. That would be R&B, Rap and Hip hop. Yet, a lot of her music and image has incorporated such. It's weird to hear fans object to it, because she's always welcomed more than just "white" pop music. She's quite diverse. She moves with the times, but I think there are certain fans who can't, so they get upset when she doesn't go that direction they like the most of her. The thing is; Madonna has NEVER been consistent with one look, style and genre. So it's a little weird to me that long time fans would be upset by any change she makes. Those who focus on a specific era or two, it's not that surprising because it's obvious, they are looking for a 2.0. and up until now, I have never seen Madonna do such. The closest to such is "Material Gworllls", but even that I feel is an attempt to reach to a younger generation which Madonna has always done from day one.
  11. I would think a totally re-release with a fresh new version would be cool. The song didn't resonate much with the general public back in the day, but here is a chance to try to do so. Not that I think, it would be a huge hit today, but why not try to re-release it, even for fun? It's a great song with a great simple message. Stuart Price's version was awesome, so I would think having him on board for a new version would work. I'm sure there are more current remixers that would make it work for the current music population, but I suspect some of the fan base would despise it, especially if she added a hip hop or R&B artist to it. But hey, I'm open for whatever gives the song more attention.
  12. This! Though, I feel she's been this way for some time now. I think the Madame X tour took a toll on her. I find the chatter about her weight a bit ridiculous because there are a lot factors in play here. First off, she is 64. A lot of women gain weight in the hips by then. Secondly, with Covid, that slowed a lot of people down. Lastly and most importantly, her injuries probably played a huge part in why she gained the weight she did. Not that I think, she is obese or out of shape. It is jolting to most of us because we are used to seeing her very slime and very fit. But I'm not going to sit here on the sidelines and criticize her for it. And it's not like she's that out of shape. Over all, she looks great for her age, and we all have seen her without the filters/photoshop and we know she still looks great without the help. I don't care that she uses filters/photoshops on social media because most people do anyway. Also, all her most iconic images for albums, etc., have been photoshopped to some degree.
  13. First off, thanks to @Curtainsfor putting this all together. This is the first one I participated in, but I went back and looked through most of the previous ones. It's very interesting to see where the fanbase at this community falls with each album. The results were pretty satisfying, but if I had it my way, the top three would be: #3 Messiah #2 Rebel Heart #1 Ghosttown I'm glad Ghosttown did get #1. That was the one I easily rated #11. Of course, the easy #0 was AutoTune from me. Surprises?!?.... Bitch, I'm Madonna scored as low as it did. Best Night scored as high as it did. The latter is my least liked song apart from Auto Tune which I voted "0". Lastly, thanks to all those over dramatic reactions from some of the participants/spectators who weren't happy with a number of the results. I hope it was all in fun, and you didn't really take this that serious?1? You have to remember, the more that participate, the more chance the results will vary. I suspect a lot of the songs people voted similar, so that probably made many of the songs that did score the way they did, come close to others. Thanks @MPoweredfor all your wonderful mock up covers. They were awesome!
  14. Nah, I just wanted to see the song to get some love on it's own as well. I enjoy this remix, but only because it samples Madonna. I'm not really interested in the Beyonce song itself. I do think the rap she re-did is cool though.
  15. Ha. I thought the exact same thing about her hosting the show. While they could bleep out her foul language, but I can see her purposely seeing how many times she can get censored. This is classic Madonna. I feel anymore, this is what most people expect from her. They expect she's going to come on a show like Jimmy Fallons and give the host a hard time and say some naughty things.
  16. I thought Finally Enough Love is one of those "special releases"? Remember this came about after the announcement of the reissues.
  17. Yeah, they only came to light once she was popular. I'm not even sure if it was released prior to that. There have been multiple and varied releases of those songs, using different early 80's Madonna photos. And yes, the songs are quite bananas. LOL!
  18. That whole scene was very awkward. Like you said, she just worded it bad and so she went into a nervous laughter. Shows she's human like the rest of us. The thing that surprised me is that she nor Jimmy made any mention of the Beyonce' collab or 'Material Gworlll'.
  19. She went to France on the promise that producers would make her a huge star. Though, it didn't pan out as she hoped. She did these back up vocals for Otto Von Wernherr because she needed money. Included tracks called "Wild Dancing", "We are The God", "On the Street", "Time to Dance", "Cosmic Climb" and there varied remixes. They are an easy find on youtube. Her vocals are quite intriguing as much as bazaar.
  20. I agree somewhat in what you are saying here. As @Prayer stated, it's just not been pushed for a wider release. So you're right that haven't spent much time promoting it. But my point still stands, that it's the fan bases who seem to have made up for much of its streams and sales so far. And yeah, there is possibility for growth, but it needs a further push. I still feel this was just an attempt to make sure the original goes to #1. Fortunately, it went to #1 before the remix really made an impact on it, but it definitely will make for some good chart results for the original, this coming week.
  21. So it's safe to say, the fan bases of both artists are only interest in the Queens Remix.
  22. I didn't think so. He opened the box. You can tell everything fit in nicely. The edges looked quite thick to me as well.
  23. Loved the interview, card game and the Classroom Instrument song. "MUSIC!!" Nothing else matters! I love how she keeps up the flirtatious nature. Jimmy just eats it up and loves to play along!
