Her trip to Africa was well after the tour ended lol, and she posted a documentary-style video to instagram. Hence why people thought that might be the "larger project" that her website spoke about.

Altho we've also had a rumour about a reality show, and a rumour that there were cameras following her while on tour. But I'm not sure about that.

I think her documentaries are amazing insights into her life and I love them. Without IGTTYAS I would probably never have become a fan. But at this point it is just speculation and rumours which isn't unusual at all in between eras, but there is SOME basis for them unlike most rumours!

I care about her tours and music videos and original studio albums, and if she ever does a retrospective I would love some curiosities and rarities, but the last thing I want is shitty posthumous albums when god forbid that day comes. I think every artist should have it in their will what should and what shouldn't get out of their vaults. i hate how artists are exploited after they pass. To me it's not a real album if it's not the artist's real vision, its just a cash in. I guess I don't think everything should be out without the proper context. It should be up to the artist. Unfortunately a lot of leaks have happened, I can't be a hypocrite and say I didn't love having them but I feel for her that her intended narrative was tarnished.

ToD is definitely the superior and more relevant film, but I definitely prefer the person we see on IGTTYAS. By a lot.

We're discussing her style of release and how other artists are also diverging from typical release. At least it's a nice change from:

I hate the MDNA World Tour edit.
    Confessions Tour is the best.
Why didn't Blond Ambition World Tour get a modern release?
Why didn't Re-Invention World Tour get released in full?
How much longer do we have to wait?

She can fill seats based on her name alone. Most ppl that go to see her don't even know the setlist. She did this for good reviews. Her next tour will hopefully be less 80's heavy.

    Thank you for sharing this.

FYI Re: I mean, "Feel it in your body, sing la de da de," seriously?

This tune is on some mid-90s, Tommy Hilfiger wearing, baggy pants with your midriff out shit. Madonna was out for those TLC coins at this point in time, doing the most to get into the pocketbooks and headphones of "African American consumers".

The "Sing La Di Da Di" is a shoutout to NYC rapper Slick Rick and his timeless party anthem "La Di Da Di" because "we like to party, we don't want no trouble and don't wanna hurt nobody". The carefree ride of Don't Stop is very close to that tune in theme and lyrics, even "come on join the party" is close to that lyric in M's song.

I'm pretty sure they are not going to pull another I'm Going To Tell You A Secret to piss off the fans with not releasing the full show. The bad press would hurt her future tours, really.

To be fair I was there at the S&S taping and there was no way they could salvage some of those vocals. She was literally screaming off key the lyrics to Borderline, her voice was very tired by the end of the tour and the vocals were too high pitched making it difficult for her. Still those re-recorded vocals were so obviously unrealistic that I'm not sure how she thought she could pass that off as real...  but a lot of the vocals on the DVD actually sound good though, we only notice they're fake on some of them because we can literally hear the real vocal's reverb on one of the side channels...

I don't blame directors for audio issues, even though they should've pointed out those problems to her, but for the rest? I mean how can you not...  the MDNA Tour director wasn't experienced and it shows, it's not hate because I'm sure he put a lot of effort but Jonas Akerlund is such a great artist, he knows how to pull all the elements together in a slick and polished way, some would argue his stuff is over-edited but it's still so slick. confessions tour won a Grammy, speaks for itself.

I thought RH might be a bit half hearted like MDNA and HC but I was still rooting for it obvie. It turned out MUCH better than I thought and I was impressed, still it let me down a bit considering the potential it actually had. Its kinda weird. Its both being proud and a bit disappointed for different reasons. But at the end of the day it showed me her creativity is on point when she puts in the work

I've just been actively around for the makings of 2 albums, but I was SORT OF around for HC and Confessions.   I don't find it unrealistic that she'll find her way into early 2000s greatness again tho. RH could've been there if she had worked on less songs at once and some outside factors hadn't derailed its narrative a bit.

@ I totally agree with your views and I dont wanna get hate but like word for word same. Still I enjoy the tour because its her. Would probably not care if it was anyone else tho I have to be honest, some of it is just neat, but there is some brilliance as always. Opening Night she didn't seem into it but it improved. I still think something was up but we may never know.

Still tho can't wait to sit down and actually watch it.

You really don't need to see half naked guys to feel the gay vibe in a Madonna performance

Someone saying the updated version of Deeper and Deeper was bad seriously needs to shut up  All the older gays went nuts during that performance. Even if I myself was just a baby back in 1992 you could actually feel the gay disco vibe in the whole arena!

& tbh, idk why everyone is hating on the version of MG. To me, it sounds like the perfect 2015/2016 version of the song were to come out now.

Jamie King did some amazing things with her up to Confessions Tour but RHT is the new Sticky & Sweet for me. It's just very rehashed, even more so.

Don't know why that Hold Tight performance got teased right before the tour started if it got scrapped, it looked pretty great. Certainly better than a lot of stuff that did make it to the final show. Makes you wonder what really happened during production, as many of us have noticed how "unfinished" it feels and it's not the work ethic we are used to from her. It's a mystery.

Still a good show tho and its still her, and really I can't wait until it's released. I just wish the sections had been fresher, a section inspired by Ghosttown and another by BIM would've made it 20 times better in my view. Some fans would've given her crap if the tour had been fresher, just like when Bitch I'm Madonna came out. But I prefer that over rehashing old ideas. I could've done without the matador stuff also, its the one theme that we saw a lot of during the era, yet Ghosttown got excluded completely...
