Who in their right mind would choose to climb ladders in heels? Dancing in them for long periods of time wears down your legs. Sure they look nice but damn, coupled with a pre-existing injury, no wonder things would get worse. And I echo what others have said that we thought this tour would have been a mix of TOAC and a usual Madonna show but shockingly it's been very strict with little changes thus far. We all want her to be alright however whomever is coaching her needs to take a lot of things into consideration.
 

I mean, you're assuming yourself and trying to base it as fact. 

 

There, she addressed it. And with a video. Fuck all those nonsense rumors about the show being canceled cause of her throwing a tantrum. Seriously, the way fans make up stuff as if they're right by her side all the time is irritating. 
 
As for the tour, I doubt she'll get THAT much better during her 20 day break. I have a feeling there will be more cancelations. Above anything, I truly hope she gets better. 

I think this is not (only) the official reason.... If this was the case  it would have been communicated and not cancelled 1h before the show.
 

I can't understand ur attitude, of trying to defend Madonna all the time. Everybody has BAD DAYS AT WORK, I'm a DJ and sometimes the crowds are amazing and full or energy, and sometimes they are passive / agressive and I have to continue, and not leaving the club for 7 hours in a row for much less money than Madonna, even if I had a fight with my boyfriend by phone I HAVE TO CONTINUE BECAUSE IT'S MY WORK. Period. Nothing more to say. 
If I'm having a stroke, or suddenly I faint when I'm DJ because we are humans, I have always the possibility TO CANCEL AND GIVE AN EXPLANATION TO MY BOSS AND MY PUBLIC, and if I can't talk, my boss or company will do it for me. 

As costumers we don't need to know every detail of someone's personal life, we want the product that we paid for a lot of money, or at least a reasonable explanation of what happened. I can understand that we care about her health, or it's normal that we are asking questions about what happened, but knowing that she's ok, and not having any official statement of what was going on, I think she deserves nothing from her fan-base at all.

Well yes, u are right, she says ‘sorry for having to cancel my last show’. That’s good from her.

While I agree, I will be surprised if she makes any changes and faces reality. This is where Guy O should be in telling her "CHANGE THIS" or "go on this way". I find it this is the one and only true reason, then it is absolutely disgusting her manager and a man she has known for literally years and no doubt has had many cross words with her, is just letting her continue, as well as go up horrid ladders as in that video.
He really is the worst, whenever she decides to sing Material Girl, she should have him do it instead. 

First thoughts:
1 That ladder is AWFUL! Give her something better and easier to enter the stage!
2 This is the message we all needed, but an immediate statement saying the show was cancelled for health issues would have prevented all the bad gossip
3 I don't know if I am happy that @MarXuswas right, because the problem is worse and it would have been better if she had a diva moment that was just affecting one show and not a serious health issue
4 We all know she should cancel the tour, because she will never change it. Of course I hope she doesn't because I'd love to see it live. If she doesn't, we have to be prepared fir many cancellations, even last minute. Those who are still on time, buy refundable flights and hotels.
5 Even worse if they won't release it cause it wasn't filmed properly.

Personally I dont buy it, but I'm glad she broke the silence. 
I'd sooner she canned the tour well in advance of the next dates, and took time out. 
It's strange how the best reviewed tour in years critically has been an absolute PR disaster and she's managed to lose more fans this era than ever before. 
I do however think damage control could still be possible in a very legacy artist kinda way. 

If it is her “knee” that was a contributing factor to whatever happened at this infamous Miami soundcheck & led to a cancellation at 8.35pm and then silence then the show will be changed come Lisbon to remove heels, staircase marching, ladder climbing and deep kneeling on the floor.
 
As someone with arthritis riddled through my body, knee flare ups do not go away overnight. Nor can you continue to march up stairs with them. 
 
My heart continues to be with the fans who lost thousands of $€£ on this tour.

I would not be surprised if she needs surgery too! And I remember Mick Jagger killing it too after his heart surgery. He's amazing. Madonna can do the same if she listens and does everything her doctors say. ??✨????✨✨

I don’t fully buy it.  Something is going on. I think the last minute cancelling is still “unique”, and maybe a combo of personal drama and physical / knee.  If there’s truly an issue, be respectful of yourself and your fans and cancel or delay appropriately. 

That post was all we needed — Thanks, M. It’s nice to see her finally acknowledge what happened. Look, we just wanted to know what in the world is up. An injury is 150% *COMPLETELY* excusable. It’s good for her to finally set the record straight.
Hope she gets ample rest over the holidays and is able to return in January to continue delivering this lovely show  

Hopefully. Thank goodness she's addressed it so it gives people at the European shows some advance that there may be an outright cancellation or postponement. Knee injuries take months to recover from so unless she completely revamps her show, the time frame isn't work in her favor judging by recuperation and healing times.

I'm so glad she finally posted but I feel so sorry for her. I pray she gets better soon and hasn't done permanent damage. Time will tell. Time is a healer. ????✨????

No one said that though? People just wanted an explanation or some sort of statement for those affected by the cancellation and who lost out on money. You're the one discrediting every member who opposes your assumptions by calling their sources, insiders and what they've heard unreliable and seem to be the one needing concrete evidence meanwhile basing your opinion as some testament of fact. Literally, no one asked or demanded the types of proof you mentioned and this attitude is very off-putting as if you're the end of all say to Madonna discussion on this board. 

I get the struggle. Listen I was in a fabulous production of CATS in Toronto and played Macavity the asshole cat. Broke my wrist 25 seconds into my first appearance on stage. Kept it going because I knew I had to. Of course they could have painted on fangs and shoved some other understudy into my role, and immediately, but I get it. I get the push through pain part of being a performer. I’m glad she’s acknowledging the struggle and facing it head on properly. I’m so sorry to people that were affected by the show cancellation. I’m also happy she’s finally addressed this and taking the time to heal herself with some much needed rest and TLC.

Next tour? Everyone should return their tickets and cancel everything this time. I mean, I am in Barcelona, with good weather and not worried because of her tantrums, and reading what happened with the Miami fans... I felt bad as a fan and angry with her attitude. I though how difficult is for some of us to save money to see her, or travel, and then this behaviour...
Enough is enough. We should start to act as costumers. 

The link to that video just looks like a sped up version of someone guiding Madonna somewhere, whether it's quick change or out a door.
And I agree with Ashley, a lot of things haven't been right with this tour from the start. We've discussed the mess of dates back to back (which Madonna must have had some say in?!) and the extortionate ticket prices and packages. But I genuinely believe Madonna's health is fine and that she is not enjoying doing this show. It hasn't worked I believe the way she thought it would have. She was far more intimate during the latter Rebel Heart shows, sharing things, changing it up and not reciting mostly the same "monologues/jokes" every night. This tour almost reminds me of a lot of early Madonna tours where nothing changed and the show stayed the same. And yes the tour is to promote Madame X but as many people have said the refusal to acknowledge and include more rare oldies have probably put a proportion of fans off going to. It certainly did me as I only like a few track of the album and along with the prices because I couldn't justify going.
As for the rumours of her being annoyed at people sitting down, well a) I am sure the majority of people have that etiquette ingrained into them during theatre shows and b) she is supposed to be cutting edge, finger on the pulse etc. but hired Jamie King to direct the show, rather than it appears seek or hire anyone with long term experience of putting together theatre shows that tour. It makes me so sad that this tour seems to have had so many problems, especially when I think back to seeing her during Rebel Heart shows and how happy she was performing (even with all the Rocco stuff in the background).
