  1. Also, Human Nature is the 3rd song of the show again, followed by Vogue like on S&ST. Like A Prayer is the penultimate song like on MDNAT. These are the things the likes of Janet Jackson have been long criticized b Madonna fans alongside album versions and backing tapes...
  2. Whatever happened to the Madonna who disliked playing the versions released on CD. She barely had any reinventions in this decade bar a couple of acoustic renditions, it's so disappointing.
  3. Because it wasn't that different from the Who's That Girl Tour version.
  4. She skipped that bit on The Girlie Show as well. It would only make sense if the two songs were performed together as a medley.
  5. Deeper And Deeper was fully performed, just a bit of the adlibs were cut (including the Vogue reprise).
  6. Unfortunately it's been a long time since her shows have been about the actual music. And these days she is barely singing live, almost all songs have backing tapes, she is doing now what Janet has been doing forever and Madonna fans had a field day in bashing her...
  7. I thought back then iTunes had both mixed and unmixed...
  8. During which song is she wearing that one?
  9. After listening to the album today, I would say Push. I don't think the album held up that well through the years, most of the production sounds dated and monotonous now and a lot of the songwriting was too simplistic.
  10. Ray Of Light Most of the album sounds dated, her slow tempo singing does not match the William Orbit "remix style" and those live performances were simply vile.
  11. Come on now, it's one of her all-time worst. Gang Bang would have been a horrible single choice, the cheap production, the drag queen vocals and the nursery rhyme lyrics have no commercial value whatsoever, it would have been trashed by the media more than the other singles of the album.
  12. Always loved it, very then-current sounding, the intro is clearly inspired by this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vHwXoY0LiQk
  13. The First Album: Borderline Like A Virgin: Over And Over True Blue: Live To Tell Like A Prayer: Cherish I'm Breathless: Vogue Erotica: Rain Bedtime Stories: Take A Bow Ray Of Light: The Power Of Good-Bye Music: Impressive Instant American Life: Nothing Fails Confessions On A Dance Floor: Push Hard Candy: Devil Wouldn't Recognize You MDNA: Falling Free Rebel Heart: Inside Out
  14. She had two of her biggest hits at that time but 1985 was her peak in the US, 1986-87 in Europe. Outside the US MJ was bigger in 1987-1992 than the Thriller era.
  15. It's Papa Don't Preach that she sang live at first but then it was subsequently mimed. I don't think it was her missing the cue with Die Another Day, rather it was a soundboard mistake.
  16. She did not mention Vegas at all. I think it would be NYC, London or even Paris, knowing that those cities have had the most tour dates by her in the past. I don't see why is it a shock to some, this was meant to happen sooner or later, her new music is not part of the mainstream anymore so it was a matter of time when the tours followed, not to mention there were already signs on her post-S&ST performances that she cannot keep on with these kinda shows forever.
  17. Dress You Up is Mexican Day of the Dead themed as pointed out by some reviews.
  18. The song is silly but Taylor really went out of her way with the video, something Madonna hasn't done in decades, or any other artist in the past 15 years, unfortunately.
  19. He played guitar on Keep It Together as well that we know of. http://princevault.com/index.php?title=Keep_It_Together Which song is also a Sly and the Family Stone homage, one of Prince's main influences... Not to mention that being an influence has nothing to do with meeting in a studio.
  20. Can't immediately think of a Prince song with a similar structure (his songwriting was miles away from Madonna's conventional verse-chorus style) but I'm pretty sure he did more for the album that we know of. The music Express Yourself was likely to be inspired by his style at the time, the Local Mix has some similar bits to Alphabet St. I think,
  21. The only thing confirmed by her post is that Rebel Heart is not her last ever album. Nothing about "making music and a movie at the same time".
  22. I'm still not buying the copyright argument. The venue had to pay royalties each time she performed it, she released it as a single many years after she recorded it and included it on one of her video compilations. She has to pay royalties to DOZENS of people with the slew of writers on Rebel Heart album and all those songs she didn't write like Dress You Up or Holiday. Plus she excluced Lucky Star as well, one of the very few songs she is credited as a sole writer...
  23. I guess it is the perfect time to jump ship. LDLHA and TAB were the only real surprises of the show and they are out, so is every acoustic number except Like A Prayer that's been on almost all of her live releases by now. I think the future will be the same, just relying on past glories, cashing in on those people who spend money on anything she releases and who attend multiple shows. That's not the Madonna I've become a fan of many years ago.
