+1 I remember buying the True Blue CD even before I had a CD player ? The vinyl mighta been my first collected item, can't remember. But the album production sounds "magical", and maybe it technically does have some sound effects to her voice that make it sound like that.

I agree with those saying it's not a "proper" studio album although it technically is! Madonna obviously released it cause she didn't want all that work put to waste after being rejected by the movie production. They were really good, fun songs! So as much as it pains me, we are awaiting for M14, not M15.

As a long time Madonna fan I've came to the conclusion to be selective of the things I pay attention too. MDNAskin, her liaisons with Fat and KK, her recent tour DVDs....no thank you. New Music and old memorabilia...YES!

It was wonderful! The anticipation for every new record was intoxicating, like when Like a Prayer was about to debut and Pepsi commercials were teased on TV. By the time Vogue came out her fans were in Cloud 9!!! we were trying to get a hold of anything and everything: lyrics, music videos, cassette tapes, vinysl, magazine clippings! And there was NO INTERNET!! NO SOCIAL MEDIA!! and yet she was the most talked about entertainer next to MJ. Erotica/SEX actually changed the game. I remember a list in a 1993/1994 magazine reading: "OUTS: Madonna INS: Mocking Madonna". Now she was ridiculed and vilified way more than the usual and she actually lost a lot of her not-so-loyal fanbase (prudes!)...but the gays remained by her side so for a while she became our little underdog Ditta, so those were good times too.
