RH worked well on stage I thought. Terrible on the DVD though. But agree on Blond Ambition being the one to watch.

Actually they had - albeit not as commercially. I think David Bowie paved the way for Blond Ambition with his Diamond Dogs tour which was a first in its theatricality. You can see slight similarities in the stage sets. ...but then, is there a person on the planet who doesn't have to thank Bowie to some degree?

It was annoying but this debate pales into insignificance when put next to Rebel Heart which is completely unwatchable and cringeworthy. She really showed a human side on Rebel Heart and it was really accessible to watch live. The DVD however just looks horribly sanitised and over processed/headachey.

And she was never elected home coming queen. :(

Now I feel old. I ruined a VHS recording of the Virgin Tour ('85) from overuse at the tender age of six.

Barcelona is my fave by miles. I love the strops and she looks far better also.

Junior said in a recent interview that it's not her in the recording he used. It's a recreation using a voice double. I was really disappointed. :(

I found it more accessible and fun than most of the others (first four outings aside). The only thing I'd add is that the DVD looks like a completely different show. It didn't capture it at all - so over processed and horrible to watch. The show itself gets a thumbs up from me.

Strange mix of reactions in this thread. A) She's 60 - and looks amazing. Those that are seeing imperfections might need to have a word with themselves. Are some saying she's out of shape or fat? :-/ Am I looking at a different image? B) Madge is flawed like the rest of us. It's great she continues to serve up the goodies after all this time - but those holding gossip mag scorecards might do well to adopt a healthier vision of the world. If you need a benchmark for perfection then go wild, but nature is kinda beautiful too...which brings me onto... C) Sexy older women are gorgeous! Whats more: scantily clad wrinkles are SO PUNK. Long may she refuse to put it away on her own terms. Are we offended by this? If so, I suggest a lobotomy or euthanasia.

I loathed the Rebel Heart dvd. I found the actual live show so wonderfully human and accessible - but the over-processed DVD edition felt really cold. I've been looking for a decent bootleg so I don't have to suffer the overdubs and relentless camera angle cuts! But yes - a newly edited edition would be very exciting nonetheless.

I keep hearing that somewhere in a vault, the entire concert exists in high quality. Do we think this is the case? If so: Will it survive the Pioneer copyright faff and will we ever get an official release? Unsure whether to believe it still exists in the current climate? (Surely it would've leaked by now?)
