  1. Did anyone else pick up on the Hard Candy album cover homage whilst she was sitting in the bed?
  2. Bloody hell, they've had extra months to get the toor book ready.
  3. Something to do with A League of their Own? Hard to tell from the clip.
  4. Middle eastern arrangement I think though.
  5. Indeed, she could've replaced the bassist, but in all honesty, the songs that were scrapped from the Erotica album was a good call. Lyrically cumbersome and lacking the hooks that the final versions delivered.
  6. For some reason that outfit in her new insta post reminds me of her WTGT outfit, of course it's really hard to tell though.
  7. Uh uh it's Beautiful Scars with a backdrop video that includes screenshots from this forum with topics about her face and butt.
  8. If it's three previous singles that were never performed in any way, then it's got to be from these I think: Spotlight Dear Jessie This Used To Be My Playground I'll Remember One More Chance Another Suitcase American Pie Love Profusion And because of the lack of specificity, maybe we can include Each Time You Break My Heart. It was a single, which Madonna has never performed, although Nick did 🙂 I didn't include Rescue Me because it was used in that horrible interlude on Madame Zzz 🥴
  9. Perhaps more importantly, should be the question; who's business is it?
  10. Opening night and she starts the show with Human Manure 😂
  11. When I first got online back in 1997 it was a strange experience, I didn't know where to go, what to type and it took so long with dial up 😭 Then I went to community college in 1998 and they showed me how to "surf". By 1999 I was using the internet at those Easy Internet places, or at Virgin Megastore and began checking out Madonna Ashram, Sindri's Madonna site, Madonnarama, Madonna Catalogue.... MIRC, Audiogalaxy... anything I could find. So yes, was very probable I was at Madonna Village as well, along with Madonna Share Hub, Madonna Power. So many came and went. Was part of the remixers clique when we were all sharing the remixes we made, you know, when we were all remixing If You Forget Me and The Beast Within! A zillion years ago 😂
  12. It was such a surprising choice when she named her 2001 tour after a song from the previous album, rather than the current one. And that the name was inspired by a novel about a planet in crisis. That the tour also happens before and after 9/11 is also quite poignant - a world in crisis indeed. The show encompasses much of the darkness we plunged into during that time. It remains still emotional despite its coldness, like its title. "Favourite" is perhaps the wrong choice of word. "Most drawn to" seems more fitting.
  13. I really did enjoy the Girlie Show, but that's maybe because I had already developed an interest in cabaret bars, burlesque performances and circus life - interests that only grew stronger as I got older and began my own training. The Girlie Show coincided well with those early interests that I still rely on today. I don't think there's anything I would change in it, what would be the point? Why waste the time on things you can't change or have any control over?
  14. I had read years ago that Bad Girl was originally planned as a video single as well. Madonna wanted it to be a long music video that was inspired by a French movie I think. I think quite a few of the original plans didn't come to fruition with this album. Press and conservatives/repressed fuckwits just couldn't help themselves. Every week it was "has she gone too far?" It was fucking tiresome. I was still in school at the time and the shitheads in my class began calling me disgusting for liking her. It was just one after next during that time... almost feels like it was a mistake to have a hit with something as tame as This Used to be My Playground only to jump to the Erotica video a few months later. They just weren't ready. On radio they talked her "encyclopaedia of sex" coming out and her "parade of perversion". It was really not a good time.
  15. Got rid of my collection about a decade ago to make room for the puppy who was about to come live with us, but held on to the cd albums. Like A Prayer Bedtime Stories Ray of Light Erotica Music
  16. Absolutely agree, an actual band playing those songs would have made a huge difference. The production, as it stands, cheapens the entire aesthetic of the album. As a musician, it pains me to hear those tracks sometimes. The little bits featured in Bloodhounds of Broadway came out much better, even though what's featured in the film had to be rerecorded during post production, it's a more natural sound that fits the era with I Surrender Dear compared to the Breathless tracks. I'm Breathless could've been a real masterpiece if it wasn't marred by this production and included a couple more tracks without tacking on Vogue which really should have been an exclusive for The Immaculate Collection with JML and RM.
  17. These are the 10 I can't stand. Vulgar Dark Ballet Come Alive God Control Crazy Medellin Sex Bitch I'm Madonna Turn Off the Radio Dance 2 Nite
  18. She said "screw those fans, they ain't getting shit this year" 😁😂
  19. Here's a good tip - stop expecting and imagining 😁 it's just not worth the heartbreak and disappointment I see here every day, page after page. Live your life, Madonna is living hers. I'm glad she's still with us, she's still standing and I appreciate that more than reissues or demos or remixes. If she chooses to records more new stuff, cool I'll check it out, if not she's already done so much and accomplished more than we could have wished for.
