  1. Argh, really? Fuck. He's touring with Ministry at the moment. Huge fan of Ministry. So hard to keep personal politics of entertainment isn't it.
  2. Didn't he turn into an antivaxxr and conspiracy nut during the pandemic?
  3. Absolutely - back then was no way to have known about the origins of Up Down Suite - was just like "ok, so that's the dub, is there an Up Down Suite full mix then?" Kinda like the Rough Mix of Let Down Your Guard, has anyone ever heard the original mix almost 30 years later? 😮
  4. Fuck, I forgot the Kruder & Dorfmeister dub of Nothing Really Matters! MF masterpiece there.
  5. What a great topic 🙂 I love the dub versions, probably starting with Up Down Suite. I remember it was so strange to get a dub of a song that I didn't know the original of at the time. Next up is Wet Dream Dub for Bedtime Story. It was just insane and loved how the vocal was used and chopped up. The Drumapella Dub for Frozen was brilliant and always wished they had used it in the commercial release. Rescue Me had a great dub, but can't remember what it was called. The one with "freak. Dominate" Like A Prayer is an obvious mention. The Dub Beats was great. I really wonder why they didn't put it on the maxi. Fever's Infernal Dub had all the right vibes for me. Express Yourself - great! And they did put it on the maxi, didn't they? Human Nature's I'm Not Your Bitch is classed as a dub, isn't it? Vogue and Deeper And Deeper were fun to have back then. As was Bye Bye Baby. Ultimately, it's Erotica I'd choose as my favourite dub, thanks to the WO Dub. It's hypnotic and entrancing to hear even 30 years later. It's aged very well. Songs I wished had dubs: Justify My Love, Burning Up, Skin, La Isla Bonita and Papa Don't Preach. Not fond of Luke Slater's Super Looper of The Power of Goodbye. It's definitely a dub, but so poorly executed. Nor am I fond of Who's That Girl's Dub. The remix and the dub just went in the wrong direction for me. Shep should've done that instead. The 80s and the 90s had the best dubs. Not really find of anything beyond that.
  6. Well, she's partially there. She's got the EGO.
  7. Oooh the second photo reminds me of the Material Girl video 😮🥰
  8. Production wise, LAP, as an album, felt outdated by 1990. Trends shifted so much with dance, rock, hip-hop, rave etc that the songs didn't really have anywhere to go. It's a great album, but the remixes that TIC offered made it feel left behind aside from perhaps Oh Father and Promise To Try which have a timeless quality to them. As well as that, so much else was happening in her world; Bloodhounds of Broadway, Dick Tracy, Blond Ambition, Vogue, I'm Breathless, Justify My Love, Truth or Dare, A League of their Own... 1989-1991 was a rollercoaster. Whilst Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson took their time to continually keep selling their respective albums (Bad and 1814), Madonna, for lack of a better term, "sped the plow" 😮 It's great that the numbers did eventually catch up and the album cemented its status as a masterpiece, especially with the songwriting that showed an artist maturing and developing her craft for confessional storytelling through song.
  9. Wow, this whole page has had such an emotional impact in me right now. Thank you for sharing these details.
  10. The atrocities this institution has played part in over the centuries and continues to profit from with their privileged lifestyle calls into question the common sense and decency of much of global population that also continues to give it a free pass and buy into its ongoing propaganda and charade of charity work.
  11. I don't think Physical Attraction would've charted well. It's a bit of a lull, not much happening throughout. Over And Over and White Heat without the movie sample might have done well with the general public. The singles from LAP are fine as they were, but perhaps Til Death and Spanish Eyes could've been added. Bad had so many singles after all. I agree that Words would have been great as a single. It's got great energy. Wouldn't choose anything further off BS, they're far too slow and mellow unless beefed up with radio mixes. Candy Perfume Girl and Swim could've done well given that trip hop was going strong at the time. A radio edit of the Paper Faces mix of Let It Will Be might have given her a bit chart hit.
  12. I applaud your honesty and common sense. Something I see lacking here all the time. When someone doesn't agree with the sheep squad it's the usual lynch mob mentality.
  13. Ah that's so true - One More Chance and Revolver suffered the same fate didn't they?
  14. Ah that's taking me back. The Girlie Show (I was 14 😮), London Drowned World, London Drowned World, Berlin Reinvention, Manchester Absolute Madonna, Koln Live 8, London Koko, London Confessions, London Sticky And Sweet, London Sticky And Sweet Round 2, London
  15. Who is foolish enough? They think they're an official site? It's an effing fan site. Do their cash cows sign an NDA? 🤣
  16. If it's with Nicki Minaj I hope it comes with ear plugs.
  17. Good for you 👍 As I always say, someone's trash is always someone else's treasure. 🤣
