I see what you mean. So much of what you described is Leo behaviour though haha - i.e. an arrogant approach, inclined to blame others rather than herself, unable to resist doing something on a large scale. Perhaps since she has the kind of access and network that non-famous directors do not, it was hard for her to resist thinking 'big'? Personally, I don't care much for her directing pursuits. Perhaps she could consider being more of a film producer, where she remains integral to having the stories she likes told but doesn't need to be the one behind the camera.

It's interesting to hear your perspective as a student. How would you describe her attitude to film-making?
  3. vasili

Yeh, it's a cool song but it was mastered poorly for Remixed & Revisited, frustratingly.

Thanks! My attempts at downloading that particularly one failed unfortunately, however it did lead me to download Video Downloader Professional for Chrome, through which I was able to download one of the videos but it too came out corrupt (see attached) like the other attempts I mentioned. I think the broadcaster has set it this way? =( If anyone is willing to try it for themselves and lemme know how they go, I'd appreciate it.

    Thanks @norisk_noglorybut I should've mentioned that I use a MacBook Pro. Damn.
  6. I'm trying to save a streaming video but am not having my usual luck using the in-browser app Video DownloadHelper 7.3.5. The resulting MP4 file is hundreds of MB in size as anticipated (as 576p quality, the highest available, is what I'm after) but is corrupted/blurry (the broadcaster's safeguard perhaps?). Could anybody please suggest other free apps that allow this? Feel free to DM me if you'd prefer to chat privately. Below is the link to the three-part series. You made need to set your location to Australia if you are using a VPN. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. https://iview.abc.net.au/show/cult-of-the-family
  7. I think ROL set such a high bar? It really was magical how it came together - timing, personnel, energy. I happen to love Amazing, for instance, even if it is a little same-y... That bass slaps!
  8. Please refer to the following Orbit-produced songs for evidence to the contrary: All Saints - Black Coffee All Saints - Pure Shores William Orbit - Spiral Feat. Kenna & Sugababes And so much more. It's too easy to take Orbit for granted and discredit him after so many years of listening. Ray Of Light would not be the beloved album it is without him. It's as simple as that.
  9. I could've sworn that the WTF clip was also used to thwart downloads of her song Music in 2000?
  10. vasili

When you say clipping, do you mean the quality of the fade-outs? I'll take a listen.
  11. That's your opinion. Art is subjective. AL was such an awesomely grand production with a strong message, and I loved Jonas' lense in that. GMAYL was cute but with a slightly dark undertone. She also looked beautiful in it. It really popped. And yes, compared to much of her crap output from the past 15 or so years, those I listed stand out.

Do you mean in the CD version too, or just the original vinyl release? I'm curious!
  13. vasili

Blank. I wish we had the ability to delete our posts...

Hm, that was an actual historical take they were going for but the general public wouldn't have understood it, so they airbrushed the white hairline out to make her look less confusing.

Bingo! I really thought she'd imbue Rebel Heart with the spirit of this project/interview... M herself should watch this to remember her essence and the uniqueness she keeps diluting, not us!
