  1. I’m a pretty unbiased superfan who calls the shit out when I see it. I can’t see how anyone thinks this is trash. It’s so much light hearted fun. Hopefully the slightly try hard at times Madonna of the last decade is behind us and she’s found her true rhythm again. This hits all the right notes for me. It sounds commercial and experimental at the same time. One thing is for sure. Madonna’s team need to sort her streaming presence out big time. Her entire back catalogue should be sprawled over every relevant playlist. She really needs to bring her older fan base to streaming platforms by making some content available only on Spotify. You have to play to the biggest market. She’s so behind the curve here. Target exclusive and physicals and all are great for collectors but streaming is king and will only increase in coming years until downloads and physicals make up a minuscule percentage of sales. So far this campaign seems designed more to help Malumas profile than Madonna’s. She’s .....nowhere to be seen anyway on Spotify. Hopefully this is remedied tomorrow.
  2. A top ten U.K. / U.S. iTunes sales chart will not a hit make. We need those little Maluma fans to stream the song.
  3. The point is that it's IMMACULATE though. No flops, or less commercially successful singles. I do think True Blue and Dress You Up should have made the cut. Who's That Girl was number 1 but it's never had the kudos her other singles of the time did. The real tea would have been a second collection of songs (like More Abba Gold). Everybody Burning Up Physical Attraction Angel Dress You Up Gambler True Blue Who's That Girl Causing A Commotion The Look Of Love Spotlight Dear Jessie Oh Father Keep It Together Hanky Panky Sooner Or Later New Song Id have bought that in a heartbeat and so would Millions and Millions of others.
  4. Regarding her anniversary editions “Never look behind, life isn’t fair, that’s what you said, so I try not to care”
  5. Spanish Eyes Pray For Spanish Eyes bothers me way more than it should. Im sure it said Spanish Eyes on the album and Spotify lists it as Pray For Spanish Eyes. Basic
  6. It’s just weird. ”this album is dedicated to my mother who taught me how to pray” then they leave off the song about her mother and the prayer at the end? ok werq Warner!
  7. Everybody Angel Live To Tell Keep It Together Justify My Love Rescue Me Hung Up ( disco) Bedtime Story Nothing Really Matters Ray Of Light ( BT & Sasha mix) Give It 2 Me The Look Of Love Where's The Party Don't Tell Me Cherish (singalong)
  8. Something about Hard Candy feels so soulless. The album just feels empty and devoid of Madonna. A contract filler. Madonna didn't serve a single look all era. 4 Minutes, Give It 2 Me and Beat Goes On are so far above the rest in quality it's jarring. Candy Shop is a stain on her discography. MDNA is bizzare because it's largely trash except for the highs of LoveSpent and I'm A Sinner. I do however feel like it says more about Madonna as an album than Hardy Candy and I love the Femme Fatale Russ Meyers styling. There's a solid album in there it's just undercooked and she needed never to record embarrassing songs like Superstar and BDay Song. Girl Gone Wild is a bopp but it's very unMadonna. I actually love GMAYL unironically. Even the faceless tracks on MDNA feel better than those on Hard Candy. I'd take Some Girls over Heartbeat anyday. Rebel Heart wins hands down for me. It's imperfect due to the leaks and time constraints etc but I can hear her ambition again and there's some killer songs. Bitch I'm Madonna Holy Water Devil Pray Illuminati Unapologetic Bitch Body Shop Joan Of Arc Heartbreak City Best Night Borrowed Time Veni Vidi Vici Ghosttown Rebel Heart Is an absolutely solid Madonna album up there with some of her best.
  9. Couldn't remove Physical Attraction. The transition from Everybody into Physical Attraction was the catalyst for me becoming a house DJ in the 90's. I was obsessed with it. I didn't know you could play with music like that. Blew my mind.
  10. Its pretty perfect as it is. I imagine the job was to highlight the dancier cuts from her debut that were lesser known hits and the two lost singles from their respective albums (Over & Over and Where's The Party) that were shelved due to soundtracks Who's That Girl and Vision Quest / DSS. Burning Up should probably have featured in some way really. We know True Blue was being worked on by Shep before Into The Groove was suggested instead.
  11. Into The Groove - the energy and spell casting Erotica - solid and warm Frozen - can't believe no one has mentioned this yet. Layered and Sprawling Don't Tell Me - Great message and quirky elegant production Music - fresh as fuck, Great message too Papa Don't Preach - also sounds beautifully prestine and clearly mixed.
  12. Theyre obviously waiting for the Madonna new album engine to rev up. Madonna said 2018 so they're probably sitting on it waiting to go when she does. Same for Pat Leonards Bring The Circus Home. If they can get a mention in articles related to her album its great promo for them .
  13. AMERICAN LIFE Nobody Knows Me Nothing Fails Mother & Father Intervention CONFESSIONS - Perfect singles run HARD CANDY 4 Minutes Give It 2 Me Miles Away Beat Goes On WE - Masterpiece stand alone single (included on deluxe MDNA) SUPERBOWL - GMAYL stand alone single (Included on deluxe MDNA) MDNA LoveSpent / Gang Bang (double A with a Tarantino video that spanned both songs) I'm A Sinner Some Girls REBEL released March Iconic (DEC 14) Rebel Heart (FEB 15 with album) Devil Pray (MAY 15) HEART released Sept Bitch I'm Madonna (AUG 15) Body Shop (OCT 15) Ghosttown (DEC 15) XMAS market with "Holy" Water remixes being issued to clubs)

  15. All of re-release stuff and anything historic has to have Madonnas say. She's previously not been interested in looking back. It seems her attitude towards her career has shifted somewhat in the last 18 months. She embraces looking back and for the first time she seems to be revelling in her long career and successes. She's making a film after the tour and her time will be taken up with that. It's not going to take as long as WE as it's not a high budget, historical etc. It should take less time to shoot and edit. She'll probably spend less time editing the Rebel Heart tour dvd than the MDNA one (which could be good all round) as she will be busy with her film. If indeed we get a Rebel Heart DVD. (I'm sure we will). The MDNAT CD didn't sell anywhere near as well as her previous live CDs (and it was dreadfully executed). So they may hold off on that too. I've heard rumblings of a compilation CD of sorts. Will this be Something 2 Remember? Will this be a Greatest Hits Live with inclusions from all her Live Nation tours? Will this be a remixed hits? Will this be a Number 1's collection? Will this be a Remixed & revisited for Rebel Heart era? We'll have to wait and see.
