Many artists do.  It's not that uncommon, but for Madonna it usually is as she usually chooses something to blow the roof off the building. The same goes for the last song .  Anyway, with a tour name "Celebration" and the way she's recently been paying homage to her dance songs (FEL), you can bet she will start the show off with a huge dance number. It's usually the best way to get one's crowd excited for what's to come.  Though, I am sure she will have a video that starts the show, which will probably do a montage of her career over the years.  Celebration will definitely be one huge party.  There will probably moments for slower songs, but I can't imagine her opening or closing her show with one, specifically for this tour.

I know, I'm just playing...no matter what song she starts with, we know it will be AMAZING and CELEBRATORY!!!

Side note - watching Beyonce's Renaissance Tour videos on Youtube I can't help but think of how little she moves/dances. The tour looks AMAZING. Mashing up "Alien Superstar" with "Sweet Dreams" had me gagged! They've done a great job on visuals and while keeping Bey pretty stagnant throughout the show. She moves but I would not call it a dance heavy show for her. Not a complaint or criticism. Again - it looks and sounds amazing! Just an observation. I wish Madonna would approach her next tours in the same way. She's not a superhero. She can pull off an amazing show without herculean physical gymnastics.

And Beyonce starts her show with a slow song...just sayin!!

It's so weird because the night before we found out about her, I was looking into hotel accommodations. I was awaiting for some additional info before booking anything.  I'm glad I didn't book anything just yet.

Me too! I had been stressing out for the week prior on what hotel I should book and just didn’t commit. And for me the other weird thing was the day before the news broke, I was in Target looking at their clearance vinyls and they had one copy of Finally Enough Love. It was just sticking out to me and even though I have the box set, I picked this up without hesitating. It’s like our Madonna senses were going off!

  4. Any other Mystery Science Theatre 3000 fans here? I was watching a new episode on Netflix and Jonah Ray, in one of his riffs, started singing the line “This Used To Be My Playground” even adding the “Used to be” part after. Thought this was cool. As these are new episodes on Netflix and TUTBMP isn’t that well known, especially today, I wonder if Jonah is a fan?

  5. So I just heard Fever from The Girlie Show Live from Tokyo for the first time and was amazed at what she did at the ending of the song..."What a lovely way to spend the rest of my life and burrr...urrnn"!  I love all the changes/nuances she put in the songs during the course of this tour!..here's a list of my favorites...can anyone add to this?

Fever - "I'm burning up" and the aforementioned (Japan shows)

Rain - "Never go away" repeated just before Just My Imagination and "oh baby" after (Fukuoka)

Like A Virgin - "Gin and Tonic" (London) - why didn't she keep this in??

Deeper and Deeper - "Love to Love you Baby" (Mexico) & the extension of "I just want to love you right/hold you tight" (Japan shows)

La Isla Bonita - "me, me me me me that's all i ever think about" (various) and "Lucy, you're in trouble!" (Toronto)

Speech part - singing "Don't Cry for Me Argentina" (Buenos Aires) and "The Girl from Ipanema" (Rio)

I'm sure I'm missing stuff (especially from Holiday and Everybody), but feel free to add in case I haven't discovered everything!
