Lucifer's Angel got a reaction from PayneMusically in Sorry vs Get Stupid vs Nobody Knows Me vs Iconic
Since the Confessions tour Madonna has always made an interlude as political statement in which she associates symbols and images from politics...which interlude is better?
For me Get Stupid from the Sticky and Sweet has a very universal message that should bring together everyone: to save the Earth for certain destruction. Also, that remix and her look slay my life

21th cuz Madonna never stopped pushing boundaries and evolving as an artist.
Her music adapted with the times and anticipated many new sounds and trends of 21th century. Her lyrics became more mature and her tours got elaborated backdrop videos, stage designs and interludes made by her dancers.
She basically got upgraded int he 21th century and she ensured the crown of Queen of Music for ever. She outlasted everyone and her art never stopped to be relevant and influence others.

I don't wanna sound sadistic, but for me LFL at the Brits was an excellent performance.
The backdrop visuals and the dancers masks were very interesting as well as the overall visuals.
The dancing moves were on point and the hands moves were really dope.
The vocals were full of passion and emotion!
On top of that, the way she carried on after the shocking beginning it is just legendary!
I watched that performance from different angles too and I keep getting inspired by. The strength. The message. The outfit. Her smile and energy.

That is because it had been ages since she performed True Blue. I remember Madonna saying something like she would never perform True Blue again after she broke up with Sean Penn, so it was a huge surprise to see that song in the set-list of the RH tour after such a long time. However, I'm sure that if she starts performing True Blue at every concert the effect would not be the same. I'm honestly over-saturated with Vogue, Music, Holiday, LAP, LAV, Candy Shop...she always does those songs and it is getting so boring and repetitive. Madonna has a great catalog and it is not fair that many great songs have never been performed live...

I think it is more important to please the fans than the gp in a concert.  The fans are the ones that attend more concerts and it should be more interesting to see different set-lists every time.
Said that, Madonna got 22 #1s hits worldwide...that is more than any other artist! There is no need to perform always LAP, LAV or Vogue:  frozen, the power of goodbye, nothing really matters, sorry, take a bow, beautiful stranger, burning up etc are big hits that the crowd will remember ...
If Madonna keeps performing the same hits then the gp will end up remembering only those songs... I think it is important that she keeps alive the greatness of her entire catalog and a concert it is the perfect place to promote a song.  On top of that, Madonna can get the crowd singing along I'm a Sinner or laughing along Unapologetic Bitch. She doesn't need her classics to interact with the crowd cuz she knows how to put a show.

p.s. Madonna name alone can fill stadiums so I hope she will avoid arenas this time...

But she performed both Vogue and LAP in two tours in a row...she perfromed LAV in every tour since the Confessions with the exception of the Sticky&Sweet (altho LAV was performed as requested song)...LIB and Music also get performed a lot and in a row...I don't mind that much and I do get wild too, but when you get LAV, LAP and Vogue on the same set-list like for the MDNA tour or LIB, Music and LAV for the RH tour then it feels like she's paying dust to her other hits. It would be nice if at least she tries to alternate more her hits and avoid repeating the same ones of the previous tour...   p.s. she's can sell stadiums even without new album or never heard before setlist...that is what it comes with the legendary status.

It might be one of Madonna's worst albums, but it is still an incredible work of art and I actually prefer this album to Like a Prayer: it is more fun and it has more bops that make you shake your ass!
    My top 5 is
    1. Beautiful Killer
    2. Masterpiece
    3. I'm Addicted
    4. Gang Bang
    5. Some Girls

Which freedom are you talking about? Is it the freedom to offend the audience's culture ? Cuz people there really believe in religion and if you wanna sing that your vagina fluids taste like holy water while spanking a nun, then you must have a really good reason to do it!
It's like going to a Muslim country and performing sex acts on stage with the Islam symbol. It is disrespectful unless you are trying to express a strong positive message. For instance, Like a Prayer video was offensive for many people, but the use of Christian symbolism there is justified by the overall message.
Now, what is the performance of Holy Water all about? Where is the strong positive message? Let's face it: it's just for the sake of mocking religion. So, I'm glad that she respected the culture and the laws of the place that she was going to perform for the very first time since she had no real reason not to do so.
I'm not religious, but I don't support blasphemy...

I totally disagree with you. Freedom of expression is not freedom of insulting without reasons. Being crucified in Rome is a totally different case. In case you did not notice, while she was crucified there was a countdown on the back. those numbers represented the kids dead for AIDS in Africa. It is fucking strong ARTISTIC message that deserves powerful visuals. That is why she had no problem to go against the Vatican. That was a message worthy fighting for.
Again, the Holy Water performance did not have any strong message to back up that strong religious symbolism.
To show sensibility towards the laws and culture of the country in which you are performing  does not make you a boring bland corporate shill like you say....there was no substance to defend, but if she wanted to defend her "freedom of making fun of Christian religion" she would have not got the approval of the government to perform there...and all the Indonesian fans would have lost the opportunity to see her for the first time.
On top of that, Rome is under the Italian government which is not religion-based, so the Vatican had no power to prevent Madonna from performing in Rome.
The audience in Rome enjoyed a lot that performance. Meanwhile, the audience in Singapore would have got offended very easily.
