Lucifer's Angel got a reaction from into the erotico in Something important essential part is missing in Madonna's current music videos.
Well, it is kind of disappointing because Madonna was one of the first artist to fully understand the importance of music videos. Especially since the streaming era took over, people do not care that much about the singles cover artwork and the music video is the main way to impact the listener and make the song become a hit.
It is undeniable that since the Confessions era the quality of Madonna music videos has plunged.
I mean, both Hung Up and Sorry are not my cup of tea mainly cuz I don't like her hairstyle and dance moves, but Get Together and Jump are simply very lazy videos. Get Together is arguably her worst mv ever and it sucked the life out of that song . Meanwhile, Jump was filmed in a hurry in Japan cuz she was there in tour. Similarly, Turn Up The Radio was filmed in a hurry in Italy in the middle of the MDNA tour and Miles Away mv was just the live performance recycled. Finally, Give All Your Luvin was more like a promo for the Super Bowl performance; while Living for Love was released only 4 days before the Grammys performance and it was all about Madonna in a stage doing the same choreography that she was about to do at the Grammys. Not to mention that she even misspelled the name of Nietzsche!
To sum up, I think what it is missing is Madonna's focus on the music videos rather than the live performance of the song.
Touring has become more and more important to the point that she started putting more effort in the tour's backdrop videos rather than the actual music videos. We got really good backdrop videos like Iconic, Nobody Knows Me and Get Stupid

Lucifer's Angel got a reaction from Madame Madonna in Ranking the Tracks: Hard Candy
um what is so funny about my music taste?
I get that you believe that Like A Prayer should be in the top 5, but I hope that you realize that not everyone can stay awake while listening to that album.
Personally, I fuckin love so many songs on Hard Candy: Miles Away; Give It To Me; She's Not Me; 4 Minutes; Voices and Dance 2night. On top of that it is a very cohesive album with great lyrics and beats.
I think it was an improvement respect to COADF, but I hope you realize that it is 100% subjective which is the best album. Now, go listen to Like A Nap cuz I'm way too sober to deal with your arrogant ass.

Lucifer's Angel got a reaction from Fighter in Something important essential part is missing in Madonna's current music videos.
I consider it one of her best videos in recent years. However, it does not feel like she's singing in the video but rather the track is just played on the back...It feels less powerful without lip-syncing imo.
Totally agree with you 100000000%
Bitch I'm Madonna charted on the hot100 thanks to the video.
The tour is the main source of money but the music videos is what she needs to chart.

Sure, but her kids are not that young now so they can stay alone for longer. On the other hand, when the kids are infant the mother has to spend almost her entire time with them. Nevertheless, when Rocco and Lola were infant she served some of the best music videos of her entire career: Music, Don't Tell Me, Die Another Day and American Life (uncensored). Not to mention that WIFLFAG, Hollywood and Love Profusion are outstanding and insanely cool too!
Honestly, I think one of the reasons must be the fact that in the past she used to tour on average every two albums, hence more time to dedicate to the music videos.
The topic is constructive since music videos like Get Together, Miles Away and Turn Up The Radio do exist. Obviously you should expect some negative critique in this kind of discussion, but remember that a well argued negative critique is more helpful that some unconditional praise. It may be painful to acknowledge criticism, but at least it brings attention to an evident issue.
