  1. No that would be exactly the same as the TV movie and wouldn’t cover anything new. Also it wouldn’t include a lot of her biggest hits. Her earlier life has been covered extensively in interviews, the TV movie and documentaries as well.
  2. It’s for #standupUkraine. It’s a rally online sponsored by Global Citizen that takes place today.
  3. Even if she were addicted to alcohol or prescription drugs why would that be Ricardo’s fault? One thing I’ve learned having been around people with addictions, is they have to make the decision for themselves that they have a problem and want to seek help and no one can force them to do anything before they are ready by yelling at them or going on rants or even by logical persuasion.
  4. But people’s perception of Kanye isn’t just based on what he says or does on social media. It’s based also on the statements of people who know him personally very well and have spent a lot of time around him like Kim Kardashiian.
  5. I could see how people might be concerned from the Tik Tok video, but in the last Instagram post she looks normal and fine reading to her kids. I think it’s hard to make judgements from social media posts because that’s only a small portion of someone’s life. You really have to be with them almost every day in real life to make a judgement like that.
  6. I don’t think the release date is totally up to her. I assume the release of reissues as opposed to new material and new remixes would be up to Warner. Record companies do like to launch major projects in the fall.
  7. I’m guessing Remix Revolution or other reissues will probably come out this fall. That’s when record companies like to launch major releases.
  8. A lot of older artists are getting into NFTs as well. It’s not just a young hip thing. For instance Boy George of Culture Club fame is heavily promoting his new NFT project called Crypto Queens. It’s a reaction to low record sales and the small amount streaming pays.
  9. So are people against the Ape specifically because it has racist imagery which I think is a very fair point. Or the concept of NFTs in general? I think there are problems with them but I think it’s a bit of an exaggeration to say they are only pyramid schemes. I think they can be used in a bad way or creatively. People buy digital music and movies, so why not digital art. NFTs are a relatively new thing so I think we need to see how they develop. People are against new things and things they don’t understand. People were against the Internet at first too.
  10. It’s not as though she is promoting it all the time or encouraging you to buy NFTs. There are a lot of artists who promote their NFTs constantly and tell their fans to buy them. I don’t like NFTs and would never buy one, but it’s easy enough to ignore one post about them.
  11. The thing about streaming is it does attract casual fans more than dedicated fans. I hardly ever stream Madonna’s music. I just listen to my physical copies when I’m in the mood to hear her music. But I stream artists I’m more a casual fan of or people I read about somewhere.
  12. True. For years fans on forums have been complaining her team hasn’t done enough to get her streaming numbers up. Now she is doing something and it’s working and people are still complaining.
  13. All managers encourage their artists to get into NFTs now. Another manager would encourage her to do it more not less. A lot of artists are even releasing music as NFTs. It’s sad but that’s how the industry is now.
  14. What same old songs? Most of her recent tours have focused primarily on the current album. Most artists do their biggest hits which they play repeatedly. There aren’t that many artists that do peculiar choices to please hard core fans. Fans often request those but most artists rarely play those.
  15. I think both Fireboy DML and 070 Shake are very cool talented artists, but I would like it better if she did new songs with them or at least a remix of a different older song instead of Frozen again.
  16. Record companies don’t let their artists release their music as NFTs. She’s signed to Warner for the remasters. There are quite a few artists releasing their music as NFTs but they are all indie artists not signed to major labels. Kings of Leon was the first artist to do a NFT album. And the album was still released on other formats on streaming so the NFT wasn’t the only way to get it.
  17. I understand the criticism of NFTs, but how can digital artists protect the authenticity of their work and make money from it?
  18. The rest of her life could be done in a streaming series.
  19. The general public would be totally lost if they did that.
  20. It needed to be done. They were trying to cover too much time and would be rushing through things and not giving enough detail or developing characters.
  21. There is no way the album is going to be 50 all new remixes. There wouldn’t be time to do those. It’s being promoted as 50 #1 dance hits. If they were new remixes they wouldn’t be #1 songs since those weren’t the ones that charted.
  22. She literally said on the last Instagram live that she can’t wait to make new music again. People may not like her recent music and I’m not saying it’s without flaws, but that doesn’t mean she is not interested in making music. She will definitely write and record a new album, but fans may not like it.
  23. Non fungible means unique and non divisible. It’s like a certificate of authenticity you get with real Prada shoes. Only it’s digital and verified on the block chain.
  24. Good point. Also these days even if an album is successful it’s usually only the first week and it quickly falls down the charts. People are quickly onto the next thing because of the sheer volume of music being released. It’s hard to create album eras like she used to. It must be depressing to spend a long tome working on a new album, and then after one week it’s basically over and everyone has moved on to something else.
  25. I like Fireboy. I think he has a great voice and is very talented. I do wish they had expanded it or done a real collaboration instead of just having him sing on the remix we already heard, but I guess the point is to take advantage of the viral popularity of the remix.
