  1. well of course everything is released to promote the new music and result in better sales, but if she wanted to "use" someone, it would have made more sense to "use" an artist who gets more attention from the general public, the interest in Madonna is not the strongest right now. I still think it's a genuine tribute to Madonna and the ballroom scene, and since the remix was so good, it was made available commercially.
  2. Beyoncé has already done a lot by releasing the song... there is no need to push the remix if the original is doing so well already on its own... and how is she "using" Madonna if it barely had any effect outside the small fanbase? Not much "use" then, is there? The original already hit #1 without Madonna being "used". Funny how Beyoncé is "using" Madonna for a remix, but Madonna is "helping" by featuring stars in her lead singles.
  3. she's also been irritating people by being late on stage.... how's that for a statement
  4. I don't think she wanted to fix them, I remember a press conference (Ray of Light in Sweden maybe?) and there was a question about the gap and she was against people fixing it (if I remember correctly, because it's a sign of intelligence? LOL). But maybe she needed to correct the teeth in the back and the gap was affected... mine disappeared when my wisdom tooth started growing in the wrong direction.
  5. maybe the other teeth pushed the front teeth closer with age, it happened to me when I was 32 or something like that, I had a gap just like M and now it's barely visible
  6. I don't think it's getting any attention at the moment, but I do think that this is an important step in the process of re-establishing (rebuilding? reinforcing?) Madonna's legacy. It's a remix of a #1 song by a huge artist, the remix will be here forever.
  7. I just looked up Deep in Vogue by Malcom McLaren, after some time, and I never knew William Orbit was one of the producers, such an interesting Madonna connection. The lead vocalist is called Lourdes Maria, another coincidence
  8. some comments on YouTube are even worse.... the delusion is real.... some people think it's still 1990
  9. I think this was done on purpose to give it a more underground vibe, like a bootleg being played in a club
  10. meanwhile, some Madonna fans here are saying the same thing about Madonna helping out a long forgotten Beyonce
  11. but it's been the same in the past as well, Into The Groove was massive in the US and it wasn't even released as a single.... Don't Speak by No Doubt was one of the biggest songs of a decade and it was also not released properly as a single in the US.
  12. Formation definitely had the impact of a massive #1 song , didn't know that it peaked at #10 due to a technicality not making it a bigger chart hit
  13. not really sure about the credibility of the article... it's just assumptions and hearsay based on the fact that both Madonna and Britney did a collaboration with other artists
  14. not sure what the rules were back then, but I think that in the US the numbers are added to the most successful version.... The Remix would need to outperform the original to chart separately.
  15. I definitely expect it to be a decent sized hit in the UK chart! I'd say Top20 is realistic?
  16. yes, next week the mixes will probably give it a push for another week at #1 (although not sure if there is a breakdown of which mix did the most?). It will be interesting to see how the mix will do on the UK chart where mixes get a separate entry. The Levitating mix reached #39 in the UK
  17. yes, on the Billboard chart all the remixes are joined with the numbers of the original and they only get a separate entry if they outperform the original. But for this week's #1, the Madonna numbers were not included, this is all solo version + previously released mixes. Before anyone starts insisting that Madonna gave Beyonce a #1 song this week.
  18. Break My Soul (solo version) has just made it to Billboard #1, and all of the other album tracks are in the Top100 If I understand the chart correctly, the Madonna remix will be included in the next week's numbers, this is without the M remix? EDIT: the Madonna remix was released on August 5th, and the song hit #1 for the week ending August 4, 2022 with 18.9 million streams, 13,000 downloads, and 61.7 million audience impressions. The remixes released on August 3rd are included in these numbers.
  19. I see we are already preparing the excuses for the imminent failure of Material Gworl
  20. The Kylie style would be the best route for Madonna... There is still a high level of production, effects, stage design, costumes, dancers and everything, but the dancing is limited to some elegant simple moves, and there is more emphasis given to live vocals. I've never felt that Kylie's shows lacked anything because she didn't do any spectacular dance moves, the live vocals more than made up for it.
  21. just voted... didn't even realize how much I dislike the songs
