  1. Then there was "Each Time You Break My Heart". It was originally intended for True Blue.
  2. Love Won't Wait. Gary Barlow did it.
  3. The first section is brilliant. She's got that energy and the dancers are incredible. I could do without "I Love New York" and some of that kaballah-stuff, but the show is amazing. Right up there with The Blonde Ambition Tour and The Girlie Show.
  4. Interesting thread. When she decided to be Lady of the Manor, then shifting back to Popstar, but without the magic touch she once had ("Confession" being an exeption). And then there's Gaga, social media, the bathtub, Aretha Franklin, Nothing Compares, Eurovision, Drake (that fool). Oh well, I think that to a certain point she's enjoying herself more these days. It's like she has this LIFE, and not just her career. God bless.
  5. It's a great performance, especially "Vogue" and "Like a Prayer".
  6. I tried to link but.. Google "National Film Registry" or "National Preservation Board." You can nominate as many as 50 titles, (but make sure to remember the year of release). Please note that they prefer films as in movies, short-films, documentaries, animated films etc. However they do make exeptions when it comes to music videos: Michael Jacksons "Thriller" was included in 2018.
  7. 1. Express Yourself (so much so that I've nominated it to the US National Film Registry. Let's be hopeful!). 2. Vogue 3. Bad Girl 4. Oh Father
  8. You are the One/ Goodbye to Innocence/ Shame/ Dear Father/ Honesty/ Each Time You Break My Heart/ Revenge/ Like a Flower (Eclectic, I know, but that's fine)
  9. We all have our likes and dislike when it comes to Madonna ? For me Erotica and The Girlie Show is so much about theatricality and drama and darkness, in a way. Absolutely stunning!
  10. Keep it Together Express Yourself Like a Virgin Like a Prayer Vogue Holiday Oh Father/Live to Tell Papa don't Preach Now I'm Following You Open Your heart Caucin a Commotion Where's the Party Sooner or Later (academy awards is so much better) Cherish Material Girl Hanky Panky Into the Groove
  11. Vogue: It's really captures anything Madonna was about: Attitude, dance, diciplin, Hollywood, Harlem, Breathless, and all done with an twinkle in the eye. Erotica: like Vogue she's in character and that is Dita Parlo, the same alias she used in her Sex book. Erotica is often compared to Justify My Love, and I'll admit; Justify is more poetic. Erotica on the other hand feels cold and repetitive, vyt that's the point. Like her Sex book this was meant to be an In Your Face, and it put popmusic right back on the edge again. Sooner or later... I've always liked that one. EDIT. I didn't read the question properly. It was all about happy songs! Ah, well..
  12. I wasn't too happy about that movie, actually. To this day that film is still a dissapointment. Madonna did a good job, but Madonna as Eva Peron was more about looks than the strange relationship between Evita and her people, not to mention her enemies. I think this was Madonnas golden ticket to a more conventional phase in her career.
  13. Well... Erotica from The Girlie Show is sublime. The pole, the mask, the way Madonna moves. Brilliant!
