Her most creative era. She understood perfectly the link between pop-art and consummerism. That was her playground, and both SEX and EROTICA reflected this. Not only was she her "own work of art." By 1992 She'd become a product as well. The packaging illustrated this. She had a great and naugthy sense of humour. Love her.

She's lost it. Just look at all the commentaries from her followers. I just don't get her anymore. I will always love her early work, but it's difficult being a devoted fan these days.

Some of the songs from The Rain Tapes reminds me of Vogue.

I'm not so sure about that. It's true that pop-culture anno 1991-1992 caused a lot of controversity (Basic Instinct etc) but the SEX book was a different monster. It was unprecedented that a huge popstar would go that far.
