I feel like 4 Minutes was necessary, but it should have been a stand-alone single in 2007 and not the lead single for the album.

Also, she was pissed because Warner didn't let her release Candy Shop as a first single, but I'm happy Warner went for those single because they were perfect. As boring as 4 minutes sounds to me, it was her last top 5 in America and second to last top 10. This album was FULL of potential singles. I could have easily seen Heartbeat, Devil wouldn't recognize you, She's not me and Beat goes on all get single treatment, and it hadn't been her last album with Warner, maybe they would have.

As cringey as the title Hard Candy is, I've learned to like the tacky cover (which was obviously supposed to be tacky). Also, this album has some really well written melodies and it's so catchy. I still enjoy listening to it and I LOVE candy shop. Fight me.

I was just telling my friend, I'm so starved for a new album that I would even be okay with a Madame X part 2, kinda like what Taylor Swift did with Folklore and Evermore.

There's no reason to doubt the Patrick Leonard rumor just yet though. It came for a fairly legit source. The The Weeknd rumor was jus pulled out of someone's ass.

This is all sounding accurate, but to be honest I think Madonna stopped caring about her career after Rebel heart and is just doing what she likes now. I don't see her being "very careful with her career moves and statements" anytime soon. I think she digs being indie and "alternative" now. If she cared about her career she would have done so much by now, more importantly a traditional pop album like her fans Crave instead of Madame X

She's not popular anymore here though, however she is still very respected. When Madame X came out, stores had it in the highlight section for months.

Releasing more songs??? She should have released fewer to begin with. Rebel heart should have been 14 tracks and it would have been one of her best works. Instead, it's a bunch of amazing songs, diluted in a bunch of basic (or even bad) one. I'm convinced the reason why they didn't let her release a double album was that the "Heart" part was amazing but the "Rebel" was a hot mess.

So I'm thinking, if she has been working on a new album, then she must have started during quarantine, right after the tour. Then she must have taken a break this summer while she was writing the script with Diablo and now she has resumed work on the album while she waits for the green light for the movie. I honestly did not expect her to work that hard right after the previous era ended, definitely not while recovering from surgery. If this is true, she really is still amazing. Ps: please M give us an album era with pink hair. I NEED it

That was part of the outfit, she has never actually needed a cane before now. I just think a Superbowl performance would be incredibly demanding physically for her right now. She might be able to walk around her apartment, but definitely not rehearse for hours for the fricking Superbowl (this ain't no Ellen DeGeneres Show appearence, it's the most watched performance of the year). A tame performance with a cane would extremely underwhelming and would hurt the chances of success of any songs rather than help it, especially if it's a dance song.

I would say a Superbowl performance is out of question. She still needs a cane to stand and walk. As for The Weeknd, I think she follows him because he is currently the hottest artist on Spotify and she met his agent because they were both at the same studio and had a chat. I think we are reading far too much into this. An unreleased songs ep also doesn't sound like something she would do, but I believe the Leonard rumor. So maybe we'll get something in 2021. I hope she keeps the pink hair for the promo shots of the next era

Absolutely nothing. No one listened to it. Now the song is charting because she made another version feautiring some rapper, but the Madonna version flopped really hard.
