"Everybody" didn't chart literally anywhere apart from the dance charts in US. I love the song and it has certainly grown in status over the years (as well as the rest of M's debut album, deservedly) but in late 80s/90s that whole early Madonna stuff was considered aerobics music (by M's own admission).

I genuinely don't think Everybody was on ANYONE's radar in 1990, for real.

You mean, as opposed to what, a shed?

Sure, but one could also argue that some information is lost in the process of translating analogue soundwaves into a digital signal which would theoretically make vinyl the only truly lossless format. But I'm playing devil's advocate here - I just think it's a bit silly to say one is better than the other in this case (same with digital and analog photography for example).

I think the VIP gift is a jacket? Saw somewhere on socials people getting e-mail regarding their VIP Packages.

I thought so too initially but when you look at the pic closely, it's actually shrink-wrapped. Looks like the final product to me.

Agreed. Also, this looks really beautiful and I hope it's for real. Love the album and loved the tour even more - an absolutely magical thing live.

Firstly - huh? Secondly, what's that got to do with the scrapped debut album artwork?

Helmut Newton, another Scorpio she worked with.

My thoughts too. Anyway, I'm a Scorpio and I've always been surrounded by Leos. My partner is a Leo (together 18 years), my sister, my dad, quite a few of my friends and collaborators as well. It's not exactly science...

I didn't notice it on Burning Up but I love Spatial Audio when it's done right - there are some gorgeous classical releases that are wonderful in it, Mariah's "Butterfly" album sounds great with its treatment too.

To me it's always been about the remixed version - the 7" Remix Edit is the one for me so I'm delighted to have it on streaming services. While I appreciate the original album version (4:48) I find it quite anaemic in comparison to others.

The reason for the (apparently) slower sales of Like a Prayer?
topic replied to kesiak's androiduser in News ✖ Discussion
To be fair, the kind of sales that True Blue album had are an anomaly, few artists can boast a big-seller like that. And even with 3 #1 singles it still sold less in US than Like A Virgin so go figure. As for Like A Prayer, the album campaign was very short indeed and perhaps Warners messed up some of the later single releases (like weird, limited formats for Oh Father in the US). -

I think we should also remember she's a human being, first and foremost. -

Literally none of anybody's business . -
That kind of makes sense - there were no remixes by Orbit after the Ray of Light single if I'm not mistaken.
-
It would take several LPs to include full remixes so perhaps it would make sense to have the edits for the expanded album editions.
