  1. The club Mix of Jam & Spoon's Keleidoscope Skies samples one of the Justify My Love mixes... its particularly noticeable at 2:34
  2. I'd go for He's a Man --- Vogue from I'm Breathless. Such a great opener and closer also, Drowned World --- Mer Girl from Ray of Light
  3. I agree... and I'm sure I recall him previously expressing interest in directing a movie based on Madonna's life. With Madonna writing and directing, I do fear that she will deliver a 'I'm a queen, I'm a victim, ego-fest'... I do hope that is not the case.
  4. She really should co-write it (maybe produce too), and then hand the directing responsibilities to someone more accomplished in the art. Her directorial skills are pretty much akin to her acting skills, and that wouldn't help the project commercially at all
  5. Where's the Party and Spotlight should have been proper singles with amazing videos. I will also add Rescue Me... even though it was a single, it never got a kick ass video.
  6. LFL was actually more successful as a single than BIM. LFL, though not really a big hit at all, charted into the top 20 in so many countries. BIM's only success was the music video which only really made it because of the various cameos... in sales and streams, the song didn't fare all that well in comparison to LFL and Ghosttown.
  7. Leaks or not, the song was completely the wrong choice as first single. Its a very weak track. There weren't many strong songs on the RH album, but Ghosttown would have been the better choice... even taking the leaks into account as it didn't leak along with the others
  8. I'm 41 in Dec. Been following Madonna since 1986
  9. Pre-fame years to Blond Ambition would be the only real period that would create an interesting story on film. Madonna's career has been one that (luckily for her) is one without any real tragedy, without addiction, and without massive public feuds, so beyond making a biopic of the years she ruled the industry, it would be rather uninteresting to the general viewer.
  10. I wasn't so keen on it. She performed the song relatively decently on DWT, but the performances of it on the tours that followed were pretty much a snooze... especially on S&S .... for me anyway. It would be pretty great as an interlude track/video though
  11. Human Nature is a great song, I just don't think that it translates as well as a live performance. It's one of those 'shoulda stayed on the album' songs
  12. So true. When reading the comments on the YT video one can see that so many of the comments actually praise Madonna's appearance, noting her better-sounding less autotuned vocals. The majority of the dislike comes from the mix itself. In fact that is the reason I don't like the track... this (not so) Blessed Madonna has made the song sound so flat, uninteresting, and samey where it actually goes nowhere.
  13. Arena tour. I doubt she would be able to fill a stadium anymore
  14. Probably among my least favourite of all of Madonna's remixed songs, but its still good to see singles becoming more available.... albeit rather too slowly
  15. My all time favourite Madonna song. It's pure perfection. I love it

  18. Music Love Wont Wait or Each Time You Break My Heart
  19. Secret Take a Bow or Never Love a Stranger
  20. Pat Leonard, Shep Pettibone, and William Orbit. These three are pretty much the holy trinity of Madonna's back catalogue, producing Madonna's greatest, timeless and most iconic works
  21. Express Yourself Nothing Really Matters (Club 69) Frozen (Calderone Club Mix) Love Don't Live Here Anymore (Mark!s Full on Vocal Mix) Where's the Party (YCD Mix) Deeper and Deeper Bedtime Story (Junior's Wet Dream Mix) Keep It Together Rescue Me (Titanic Vocal Mix) Secret (Junior's Luscious Club Mix) No Levitating... it doesn't even come close to most Madonna mixes... however, its not really a Madonna song anyway... its Dua.
  22. Regarding her back catalogue, the majority of the problems lie solely with Madonna, and not just her label/management. It's her tunnel-vision approach to her 'art' and her refusal to look back that is halting any kinds of anniversary releases or reissues, and that is very disappointing. She owns the rights to new releases, and the label is only able to release new versions of what has already been released (hence the many colour vinyl reissues). She is single-handedly sabotaging her legacy with this attitude. People are forgetting who she is, rather than celebrating her as the icon she should be. As for the promo of her more recent releases, well, Madonna / Management / Label can all take a share of the blame on that one.
  23. Madonna's live voice really needs these two to back it up. They were a brilliant live team.... here's hoping we see a return on the next tour
