  1. When I read "CT" I thought... "Confessions Tour?" Great to see it in this quality
  2. I'd love to hear "Thief of hearts" too... but I didn't choose it just because it was not a single... Would be great a "Forgotten Gems Medley" with songs like "Angel"; "Gambler", "Where's the party" "Causing a commotion", "Spotlight", "Physical attraction" (this is more like a "You can dance" megamix than a medley :P)... Of course she can't sing all her singles on a concert but would be nice to remember all of them... Could be something like she did with "Everybody/Express yourself" on the BAT, "Where's the party/Music" on the Confessions Tour or "Material girl/Girl gone wild" on the MDNA tour. She didn't sang the songs, but at least they were remembered there...
  3. I was thinking the same. Is the only song from "American life" that she didn't performe live (I think she sang all the rest in concerts, MTV specials or tears of a clown show"). And for an anniversary she could sell the full album with live versions on it "American Live" or something like that :P About my songs... I would choose "Gambler", "Angel" and "Rescue Me"
  4. I can understand perfectly what he says... I year and a half ago my doctor said I had cancer. I wasn't afraid but I felt really tired. I've been months in bed, too tired to get up, the chemotherapy wasn't that bad for me, but it made me feel even more tired... And I remember that when I was at home my sister, before she went to work she always turned on my computer and played Madonna on Spotify. She (Madonna) was my company when nobody could be at home with me. Of course physically she didn't help me, but thanks to her music I felt fine mentally (something important in this cases). It was good to "have her with me". It's something stranges that I don't know how to explain but for me, it worked. Now my doctor says that everything is ok... The last time I talk to him he called me "Mr. Miracle" and he said me that he never thought that I could be so fine now, that he couldn't explain it... I told him "Well, my body reacted in the best way to all the medical treatmen" (but I thought... and I had the best help with Madonna's music in my mind). Now we have the 40th anniversary, the "Celebration" tour and, although I can go to see her, I'm really happy for her and all the fans that are going to her shows and, most of all very grateful for being here to live the first 40 years... and I'm sure will be lots of years more full of surprises for all of us. Don't give up hope and be patient PS: And thank you for all the dramas on the forum about the anniversaries, digital releases and all those things. It was funny to read them when I really wanted
  5. I don't agree with that... I mean, the Madonna album Like a virgin, maybe... But the promotion of "Madonna" was made with the TV performances and some shows like "Uncle Sam" and things like that. She was starting her career and probably the thought that the tour would help to sell the first album too... But I don't see her saying "I'm going to make the "Drowned World Tour" to make a promotion of "Bedtime stories"." Or Something to remember? She only sang "You'll see" and not in every concert. Is like saying that she was promoting "True blue" too because she sings "La isla bonita" and uses the snippet of "Open your heart". I can see that with "The Blond Ambition" (Like a prayer/I'm Breathless) and "Drowned World tour" ("Ray of light" and "Music") because in the first place, they thought about doing a tour for the first ones ("Like a prayer" and "Ray of light") that finally wasn't made, and the albums were "near" from the one that came later.
  6. Love this kind of articles... Will we have a new performance in 2024 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of "Like a virgin"... Who could be kissed this time? :P
  7. Never notice that... I'm "obsessed" with the "Virgin tour" outfits. I think every show has different clothes for the first section but never pay attention to this little changes on the BAT costumes... Now I have a question (not about BAT). On the "Drowned world tour" the guitar strips had the "Fuck off" on the punk section and "Ole, Ole" in "La isla bonita". Does anyone know if in the "cowgirl" section had other things written on it?
  8. Nothing unrealised can be more interesting than shoo-bee-doo. I love it and jimmy, jimmy more than songs like Take a bow or live to tell. #justiceforshoo-bee-doo #justiceforjimmyjimmy #andjusticefordon'tstopandGMAYL 🙃
  9. I agree with you... And you can live in Europe and have the same problem. I live in a small town in Spain. Now we only have one record store in the town. If we want music we have to go to fnac (and I have to say that the last time I went the music section was as big as my bedroom because "People don't buy music anymore, so better videogames, books and things like that". Even in the movies section was difficult to find the Disney movies, they have two or three tittles and the rest "You can buy them online". I've been lucky and the record store in my town was part of the record store day but... he told me that "They send me just what the big ones don't want". I found "True blue" and "La isla bonita" there, and "You can dance" "The first album" picture disc but when "Everybody", "Who's that girl" and "American life" were released he asked for copies and the day they were released he had a mail saying "We don't have enough copies". So I had to buy the first two on Internet and I paid more for the shipping costs than for the vinyls themselves. I can understand that they can be considered as part of the announce, but those are releases that are not there for everyone. And when you trie to buy then and you can't and see the next day you have to pay much more for them because a no fan had access to more than one copy and wins money and in your town you didn't had one is frustrating. I want to give my money to Madonna, not to someone that don't appreciate her art.
  10. I don't think so... I mean, look at the prices, someone who only know those two songs, don't pay for a concert. Madonna has a name and I know a lot of people who'd love to see her in concert at least once just for being Madonna. I have lots of friends (not Madonna fans) that would love to see her in concert, but she always plays in Barcelona (an expensive town, and the expensive tickets, and the travel and the hotel...). But if she went to another town near I could rent two or more buses just with people I know to go there, hahahaha, In fact I know more Spanish fans that go to Lisbon instead of Barcelna just because is closer to their origin city.
  11. Well, I think that happens more often than what we'd like to think... First of all, there are lots of people that doesn't see music channels and on TV (at least here in Spain) to find a TV program with videos and performances is impossible since the 90's. And about her music... One day I was with my cousin and she asked me "Are you going to the Madonna concert?" "I told her that I couldn't and asked her "And you?". She told me, "I only know two or three or her songs so..." I said "I'm sure you know more than you think". Days later she told me "I've been listening to Madonna on spotify and you were right. I knew lots of the songs, but didn't know they were sang by Madonna". I'm sure the general public knows lots of her songs but most of them are "80's or 90's" hit songs and not Madonna songs, I don't know if you understand what I'm talking about. I've been a fan from the 80's and I remember that after "Erotica", "Bedtime stories" and "Evita", when "Ray of light" came out there were lots of new fans that didn't know who Madonna had done in the 80s. They were too young at that time and they discovered what she had made after "Ray of light" and lots of them said things like "I remember that song, my parets had the album when I was a kid" and things like that. Unfortunally, Madonna is a big name in music history but not all the people know perfectly which songs are sang by her. But, can you blame them? I mean play "Lucky star" "The look of love", "Like a prayer", "Erotica" and "Ray of light" to somebody that doesn't know Madonna and probably they'll think each song has a different singer.
  12. I guess people hate that corset too... Always the same one, and if it's not that one is the same in white.... I'm sure she has lots of different corsets... Sometimes I think she does things not because she likes to do them, just because people hate them...
  13. I still think that the problem is that the tour was cancelled in USA. When she was going to start the tour in July, I thought on it as a whole. I guess they were thinking something like "With the first concert all the news will talk about Madonna, so that's the moment to announce the pre-sales for the reussie of the album". I know a lot of people that buy the albums after watching the concerts, so I guess that's all they wanted. The fans will buy it (and wait for it, we always do) and it will be easy for them to promote it to the general public when she's on tour and all the countries she visit will talk about it. I even think that the "all commintments" thing could be some interviews for some magazines talking about the tour and the album at the same time. She could make it by telephone or mail and send some new pictures (if she has done new sessions for the tour book) and things like that, you know what I mean. But, as I said, is what I think. Mayebe we get nothing but I'm a believer--- so I'm sure we'll have something as soon as she's completly recovered.
  14. I've made the rip of the "Like a virgin" US CD and I've uploaded it to mega. Do you know if I can share it on the adio section? If not, I can't send you the link by private message (same for the ones who want it)
  15. I'm not at home now. I'm out for lunch and after that I will go to see "Barbie". But when I get home I'll make a rip of it in wav
  16. I have the original USA CD with the "Full digital recording" writing on it. If I can help with that, just tell me
  17. Could it be possible that they didn't remember that the "Lucky star" album tittle was changed for "MADONNA" and that's why we've got the single released? :P
  18. Hey! Don't call me young.... I never insulted you No, I have to admit that I'm of the ones that think it's too long... But is Madonna's fault. I remember in 1986 I loved the song the way it is but when I watched the "Who's that girl tour" was like,... Was this song soooooooo long? And don't know why, since then I hated to album version too. I love the edit, I love the "Blond Ambition" version, the "Confessions tour" is almost perfect but the album version still it's too long for me. But I guess I have problems with long versions... same happens to me with "Holiday". I love the edits but the 6:08 song...
  19. I don't like the idea of getting pre-madonna songs in a realise of her first album. Yeah, they are part of the process but the Otto Von Wernherr songs too... But they are very different to the sound of the album. In fact, for me I see them as a different era, not as part of the process to make the album. I can see songs like "Crimes of passion" but not "Drowning"; "Save neighbourhood", "High society" and the rest of those demos on an anniversary edition... But, who knows?
  20. It says "View the remastered videos on youtube"... Could it be that we'll get "Burning up" and "Lucky star" too??? Or that we only have to watch "Everybody" and "Borderline"? :P Hope that if they upload the "Lucky star" single they upload the right 7'' edit and not "The immaculate collection" one or things like that.
  21. Mine is Bad girl... The song, the video, the single cover... Everything's perfect
  22. I think for this album the most interesting thing could be the videos more than the audios. It was her first album and I've always heard that she didn't record more songs. My guess is that could be "Ain't no big deal" as a bonus track and maybe her version of "Sidewalk talk". The rest, in case she makes a superdeluxe edition will be different takes or remixes. It's just my thought. On the other hand... The videos, TV performances (if she doesn't have to pay the rights for them) and interviews could be the extras for a deluxe edition. But I guess that if they decide to include TV performances will be one for each song. I don't see them making a dvd with 10 different performances of "Holiday".
  23. Seems that everybody forgets about "Revenge of the Killer B's". A various artists Warner compilation with B-sides released in 1984. I've read years ago in lots of fan-sites that the released date was October 29th. In other sites they say that was released in march/april in 1984. The album had a little text for song. This is what it was written about Madonna and "Ain't no big deal": Madonna - "Ain't no big deal" Maybe so, but Madonna's career has becone one. She formerly cut the rug for the Alvin Ailey dance troupe but now is shaking things up vocally at the top of the charts. This hot number has never been previously released; it was recorded during the sessions for her first album.
  24. That's not true... There are four songs, you forgot "I drove all night" (my favorite one and the only song by Celine Dione that I listen :P). I think that's the reason why Madonna doesn't make the big editions others do. I mean, you buy "Like a virgin", "True blue" "Like a prayer", "Ray of light"... and you have various hit singles that can make general public buy them. Now imagine a reedition of another artist that has the big hit known by everybody and that's all... Or you put lots of extras on them to make people buy it or... And I have to say that I admire and respect Cindy and all the professionals that make music (maybe I don't like them but they have my respect) and most of them don't have more than one album with so many hits like Madonna does.
