  1. I've always found it odd how she won't stop and sign a few things. People wait on her just to see her get into a car, she could at least wave and thank them. Eh, it's Madonna.
  2. I love her, but I also think it's extremely rude. Can you imagine if someone had mild back issues and had to sit around for 2 hours waiting and then not getting out until after 1am? I don't mind being up late, but not everyone feels the same way. I can understand that sometimes things do happen that will cause a delay, but EVERY SINGLE TIME? Also, it seems like she's getting on stage later and later each time. 11pm on the last show? That's absurd and inexcusable. If the tickets say 9:30 then she should have everything ready and be on stage no later than 10:00 or 10:15. I thought she had built her self a buffer when she changed the start time to 9:30 as opposed to 8 or 8:30, but nope, she's pulling the same crap.
  3. She said it during the last show if I'm not mistaken. Someone said something along the lines of, "I love your country, Malawi!" She responded with, "America is my country, but this money is going to Malawi." Those aren't exact quotes, but I think they're close.
  4. I won't make a long post since many already have, but I don't understand the covers, either, I think it's a bit ridiculous when you have the back catalog of the century to choose from. I also think American Life shouldn't have even been considered since she left so little room for her back catalog. I would have also left off Killers Who Are Partying and Medellin simply because Killers isn't all that great lyrically and Medellin is too much of a duet. I think she should have included What It Feels Like For a Girl (Spanish version), Joan of Arc (ballad version), Looking For Mercy, and perhaps Rain or maybe Bad Girl or an uptempo song like Open Your Heart. I think just doing snippets of her previous hits is also a disappointment. I completely understand why Rescue Me was dumped. That song requires Madonna's soulful voice, and she doesn't have the vocal stamina to perform that song night after night, but still, it would have been amazing. I'm going to one of the Chicago shows, and I am very excited to be 7 rows from the stage and I know I will enjoy the show, I just feel like the setlist wasn't really thought through.
  5. The show at the Olympia was professionally filmed and that is a theatre. I just do not see Madonna NOT recording this and releasing it.
  6. Hmm, I find it hard to believe especially considering that it's a theater performance.
  7. This reminds me of when I went to MDNA in Atlanta there was a guy on the side of the street selling tee shirts. He was saying, “Vogue, vogue for your loved ones!”
  8. I don’t recall right off, but I read it somewhere. It’s probably not true.
  9. I don't think Madonna will be late like she usually is. For one thing the show won't be as over the top as an arena show and therefore not as many safety checks - Madonna is known to be very serious about multiple checks because someone could get seriously injured or killed. Secondly theaters are a little more strict about showtimes, yes, it's Madonna, but there is a limit. Number three, if they are making you lock up your phones and you're by yourself that's going to be a pretty miserable experience waiting forever. Fourth and last point, the showtimes are 9:30. Previously they were something like 8pm, so she's already built in her cushion. As for the no drinks, I'm a little curious about that since it will be sort of odd if there aren't cocktails offered at a Madonna show.
  10. MDNA relied too heavily on the MDNA album. While I think there was more energy to the MDNA tour I feel that RH had a much better set list and was more enjoyable if you actually wanted to hear Madonna sing.
  11. I don't think so, not at all. Madonna doesn't put on boring shows. If the set-list was mixed up enough it would work well. We are talking about a greatest hits tour, and those are her greatest hits according to the charts. If M wasn't touring an album this is exactly the sort of show that the general public would expect and the kind of show that would sell.
  12. I think she will do a greatest hits tour, and if she does, I think it will be her last tour. I think we will probably see another album from her, but I'm not 100% sure she will tour it, because I don't see Madonna doing this at 70 like some artists because M does a very different show. I think M will go more into trying to direct more films, but who knows. I would call it, "TAKE A BOW" and it would ONLY have hits. No obscure album tracks, just songs that charted well that people will remember. In NO particular order because this is pretty much a release timeline Holiday Lucky Star Borderline Like A Virgin Material Girl Crazy for You Dress You Up Live To Tell Papa Don't Preach Open Your Heart La Isla Bonita Like A Prayer Express Yourself Cherish Vogue Rain I'll Remember Secret Take A Bow Frozen Ray of Light Music Don't Tell Me Hung Up
  13. I agree on all points. I also think that the new format has turned people off AND she’s not traveling enough. Sitting in one city for days and not visiting other markets is also hurting. For example, I would have to fly to see her and I usually just have a short drive. She’s making me not want to go.
  14. I’ve seen several articles stating that that the tickets aren’t selling well for this tour. I looked on Ticketmaster at several cities and there are a lot of retail tickets left and they are good seats. what gives?
  15. I don’t know, but I think it’s random.
  16. I'm not talking about the package deals. I'm talking about buying it all on my own. And yes, sorry, but as someone who doesn't have fantastic eyesight unless I'm like 10 feet away it matters a great deal. I'm also kind of short. Don't get me wrong, I'm not blind, but if I have to sit way back or in the balcony I'm literally wasting my money. Again, to me this is depressing and yeah, a waste of money.
  17. Give me a break. If she does a lot of AL songs and B sides as others have mentioned the reviewers will rip her to shreds. Not to mention the fact that the haters will say, "she can't fill arenas anymore." I've done the math. A 24 hour trip to and from home to see her will require driving, flying, etc. and will cost me at least $3,000 for 2 people. I generally spend high dollar on the tickets, but because she isn't coming anywhere near me it sort of adds to the total. I could always get horrible seats, and YES there is a such thing as a horrible seat in a theater, but I don't want to see M like that. The fact that I am at this point 99% resigned to the DVD makes me very sad, so keep your sarcasm to yourself - I am not happy about this, I'm actually quite let down.
  18. Well, I have done the math. Chicago will be the closest for me, which is an 8 hour drive or a 2 hour plane ride. Driving is out of the question as that is simply too long in a car and then go tot he concert, you'd be exhausted unless you went the day before. Because I don't live near a main hub airport I would have to drive 2 hours or pay double for 2 airline tickets. The tickets out of Knoxville and back for 2 is around 1,000USD but in and out of Nashville is around 500.00USD. If I'm going all that way to see M I'm not going to sit in shitty seats, so I would be going for the Dark Ballet or Come Alive VIP which are 750USD and 995USD per ticket and this may still be on the balcony. So, by the time I purchase tickets plus airfare plus hotel this is a 24 hour trip that will cost me at least 3,000USD for 2. Sadly, I am going to pass this time as I just cannot justify putting that much on my CC for one show. Sorry, M!
  19. 50-1750! Just go to the Madonna Live Nation website for tickets. You have to sign up for tickets in the areas that you are willing to pay for and then hope you get selected.
  20. Yeah, let her go right on ahead and watch the horrible reviews come pouring and and people trying to sell their tickets. I don't want to see her do the AL album at Tower Records again. It is true that we have no idea what the set list is, what the show will be like, etc. I think it's risky for fans to put the CCs out there on file to be charged for something they find out that they don't want. As I've said before, I'm not poor, but I don't want to shell out 2,000USD to find out I'd rather watch the DVD.
  21. I don't think that's what the OP meant. I took it as Madonna can still fill up arenas and put on amazing spectacles and this time she's not doing that. I think some people are afraid that this will be TOAC pt2 and that worries me a bit as well. Also, with the whole Madame X persona I think her fans expected a huge spectacle.
