  1. I think some people are misunderstanding the point of this thread. It's not to list songs that you think are bad, but songs that have odd titles.
  2. I BELIEVE that the right side up was actually a mistake. I heard that when the album was being pressed they thought her face was supposed to be right side up but they were corrected that Madonna's face was supposed to be upside down. The pressings which followed were upside down. I haven't seen any recent pressings, but I think it's odd that they would be printing them right side up since that's not what M intended.
  3. EXACTLY! Madonna has built her career on this sort of thing. *DON'T LET THE DOOR HIT YA....*
  4. I'm quite certain. Also, I don't see a great deal of similarity between your thoughts and those of Jackie.
  5. I'm not offended, really. I just think there is a line between criticism and cruelty. For instance, I think her outfit and the grillz were atrocious at the VMAs and I was very vocal about it, but I'm not about to start in about her looks.
  6. Body shaming is not an opinion. It's effing rude and cruel.
  7. I sort of see the point here. I've seen issues with some fans not being able to handle any criticism toward M at all. That's stupid. We are allowed to have a point of view. People who are overly nasty about her looks, etc. go too far, though.
  8. OMG! Is this a fan forum or a bashing forum? Her hips look like that because of the angle and quite frankly she looks great. People need to get a hobby. I'm sure half of the people hating on her have cellulite or a spare tire. RIDICULOUS
  9. Cardi B and Nicki M hate each other, so no. Also, I hope NM is NOT on this album. Madonna has featured her on 2 albums and it's old. I wouldn't mind seeing an M and CB collaboration though. It's interesting that this always happens with the fake track lists. This typically indicates an official announcement very soon.
  10. Well, your opinion is just as valid as anyone else's. I personally hated the look because it just took away from her face, which was flawless. As for the "Natural Woman" reference, haven't we heard that story before and wasn't it a totally different song? Perhaps my mind is making things up, but that keeps gnawing at me. As for Jennifer Lopez, I'm not a huge fan, but I think she rocked out for 49. She did start to mime about halfway into the performance, if I remember correctly, but when all of that dancing that is totally forgivable.
  11. It's about dying and going to heaven and her name not being in "the book of life."
  12. Since everyone else is breaking down the album I suppose I'll join in Girl Gone Wild - Perfect song, perfect album opener and potential first single Gang Bang - Would have made a great club release with a savage video done by Quentin Tarantino I'm Addicted - Solid album track, potential single material, but not for the first single Turn Up The Radio - Should have been the second single, so summery Give Me All Your Luvin - Leave it on the album, do it at Superbowl, and never talk about it again Some Girls - Solid album track, not sure about single material, though Superstar - dump it I Don't Give A - Fine as is, ok album track, too personal "wake up ex wife..." meh I'm A Sinner - Solid album track, could have been the name of the album Love Spent - One of the best tracks on the album, second or third single - I prefer the acoustic version which would have been great as a bonus track Masterpiece - Should have been pushed more in the winter prior to the album's release as a buzz single Falling Free - 3rd or 4th single, one of the best tracks on the album Beautiful Killer - Very solid track, shouldn't be a bonus song I F*cked Up - Would be better without the "rap" but otherwise quite solid and poignant B-Day Song - dump it Best Friend - Solid album track, shouldn't be a bonus song So, all in all, 2 tracks should not exist and there was no need for a bonus disc. I think the album is better now than I did in 2012 because I had HUGE expectations for her first "post Gaga" album. I think a lot of people put MDNA against Gaga's work at the time, which was pretty spectacular in most people's opinion.
  13. I don't know if bitching is in the correct lane, either, at least not to me. To me bitching is not liking a single choice, or complaining that she's making a movie and not doing an album. I am typically the last person to point out any flaw in Madonna. I personally feel that she's about as perfect as they come because she doesn't give a f*ck, she puts out amazing albums, has a true heart for charity, and so much more. The only way to be constructive in this instance is to say, "girl, don't talk about yourself during a tribute ever again, and I would also tone down the accessorizing (lol)." What she does is definitely her choice, and she's made some questionable choices in her day, but I've never looked at her and thought, "wow, did you get dressed in the dark?" "was nothing learned from your MJ tribute speech?" It's a head scratcher for me. M has always been the recipient of bad press, she thrives off of it and most of her career has been propelled by it, BUT when M gets it right the praise is overwhelming. I just don't think she can afford to take as many risks as she used to. If she wants to then fine, but if she truly wants to be successful, and we know that she does, I think she needs to be a little more calculating and a little less extra. Sure, M has been called a "has been" and "washed up" for nearly two decades by many haters, but she's reaching a point where all publicity isn't necessarily good publicity. I don't think that this appearance will tank the album, but she threw the brakes on the media love, and that will not help her. JLo had an amazing performance, and yes, Madonna did steal the show, but for the wrong reasons. By the way, I loved your well written response to my post.
  14. I think M likes animals, but she doesn’t LOVE them. For one she doesn’t have time to deal with pets and I don’t think she likes the mess.
  15. I suffered fools so gladly.... haha I would ask her if she’s considered returning to Warner and if she would consider releasing some of her unreleased work.
  16. I don’t see criticism as hatred. The fans are concerned for her and therefore things like this get the fanbase worked up. We can't call M to discuss it, so it comes out in the forums. For me, I knew as soon as I saw that first insta post with her face and all of the garb I was worried. When she came out and the entire ensemble was visible I sorta started sweating. When she started talking and I noticed the grillz I just said, “why?” When the speech was over I was sick. 30 seconds after her speech I started receiving texts and calls from my friends who aren't super fans bashing her, BADLY. I don't want Madonna’s antics to destroy the success of her new album, she doesn't deserve that. THAT is my main concern. A few days ago she was getting nothing but praise from the press, etc. and it’s like she threw that away on purpose.
  17. Hard Candy fitness is still around, just very limited: Mexico City Moscow St. Petersburg Sydney Santiago Rome Milano Material Girl is still sold at Macy's Truth or Dare fragrances are still sold as far as I know.
  18. Well, I don't think glamour is boring. Madonna is remarkably beautiful when she glams it up. Of course I don't expect Madonna to conform or be boring, of course not. I just think, and this is only my opinion, that had she gone a more traditional route she would be getting good headlines instead of being the joke of the day on headlines and social media. I don't know of many people that thought her look was anything but a mess. Frankly, I've never seen Madonna dressed so poorly. At the end of the day it doesn't matter, it's over, her album will still sell, no one died over it... it's just disappointing.
  19. Well, for starters that outfit was a disaster, she looked like an Olsen twin. Joan Rivers would have had a field day.... The jewelry was a disaster. The grillz have been and continue to be a disaster. The speech was about her, not good. IMO it would have gone down beautifully had she came out, dressed in a gorgeous dress, hair done in a glamorous fashion, and said something like this, "We are here tonight to celebrate artists and the music which they create. As you all know, just a few days ago we lost the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin. Aretha Franklin was a pioneer of civil rights and a pioneer by being a strong and independent woman in the music industry. Without Aretha's strength, perseverance, and immense talent, many of us, including myself, may not be here tonight. So, with much love and much R E S P E C T, we remember the trailblazer, the talent, and the legacy of Aretha Franklin." APPLAUSE I'm not a professional speech writer, obviously, but something along those lines would have gone over very well, but that's just what I think.
  20. So, it looks like she's responding to the criticism in a nice way. I still think she made some mistakes, though. This was the first time I've heard that she sang "Natural Woman" for an audition. Maybe it's true, but that's not the version I've heard before.
  21. Exactly. I didn't understand the hate with the Prince tribute, but I did with the MJ tribute and the Aretha tribute. Having said that, the Aretha tribute was the worst and that outfit... OMG. All of the love she received during the first 3 weeks of August is shot. SMH
