  1. I said psychedelic-rock. That's quite not the same. And how man times she has changed her mind? I remember how she said in a interview in 1998 that she never sings Like A Virging again in her life. She said she would never tour again in 1993. She said she would never do a musicvideo again in 1996...

Never say never. But as I wrote: all just a funny hypothesis ;-) Don't panic

    LOL, I never was panicked

  2. I bet there is already much more going on for a new album release as we think. And it's pretty sure this will happen in 2018 because in 2019 the contract is over. Right?

After her frustration and delusion with the leaks of the RH demos she wants to be 100% sure that nobody will hear anything before the final album official release. RH is not the final product she wanted!!! Keep in mind she is a cotrol freak. So I think this is the reason why we didn't hear anything yet.

If you have an operative vein for social media, you can combine some things that are happening and that were posted. So here is my forecast for album 2018. Just presumption. No facts! Just for fun:

    1) No more Diplo - she loves him but the collaboration was very caotic and took too much time.

    2) Lenny Kravitz was with her on stage in St. Tropez and Oseary posted in early August on Instgram a picture of him with the words "Beautiful day to reflect" - Collaboration going on? In the past they both stated to work soon on new stuff together again.

    3) She missed the old classic way of making records while producing RH. She wants to work with real musicians again. DJs can stay at the party this time. And here comes Lenny again in the game. He plays almost every instrument.

    4) Todays kids are just born and are already like adults. The want to be mature. They want to look older. They want sofisticated sound. They want real instruments in the songs. They want raw music like in the 60's and 70's.

    5) In the past time, PINK FLOYD was a very actual topic in Madonnas interviews and on her instgram.

    6) Patrick Leonard is since a few months on instagram. He posted how he cleaned up his studio. He installed brand new stuff next to old synthesizers and other machines from the 70's as well. Patrick is experimenting with psychedelic sound which reminds the sound of Pink Floyd. Go and listen on his instgram. Very interesting! He is also making posts mentioning Madonna as he is listening to lots of old demos they worked on so far! This can't be a coincidence!!!

    7) And here comes my courageous hypothesis: She is releasing her very first, full on psychedelic-rock concept-album for 2018. Possible contributors: Lenny Kravitz. Other: William Orbit and Mirwais. Yes and you know why? Both are very quiet these days!!! They are both locked in their studios testing new sounds for M!!!

What do you think? I can't wait for Madonnas first real rock album.

-I think you may have forgotten Madonna's Reddit open conversation with fans.... She will never do a full rock album

  3. OK

I hope for the next album she'll go into it with an idea of what the aesthetic and style and message is going to be because that will narrow things down and it will be less time spent working on it. I love that Rebel Heart is an experiment on variety but I would really love a 10-12 track album that's not toooooo long and has a razor sharp focused vision.

Also, i hope she writes the songs first with talented musicians AND THEN produces them and not the other way around. Results are always better that way imho for any artist.

At the same time I hope she does not listen to ANYONE (even fans) and does what SHE WANTS TO DO. But she better think hard about what she really wants first. :thinker:  :thinker:  :thinker:  :thinker:  :thinker:

Right now I'm looking forward to whatever she wants to do, wether it's film or other projects, I want her to make new music when she needs and wants to make new music so let's not rush her or demand too much.

    yasssss!

Confessions, Ray of Light, American Life... All concept albums.  I want a single focus concept album from Madonna, where the tour sections can be very focused also with a section specifically dedicated to the focus of the album.

  4. Personally, I think they are just posting how they feel for the day, while reminiscing.  She seems to be on track with making a film now.  Meanwhile, spending as much time with her family before she actually starts working on directing the film. I feel we have a long haul ahead of us. Maybe another reason why Madonna prolonged the release of the REBEL HEART TOUR DVD and album.  I suspect she'll be behind the camera in the next few months, and then will head in the studio sometime next year.  I don't expect anything new until late 2018 or sometime in 2019.  UGH! I hope I am sooo wrong.

Aldo is a friend of mine.  He detailed they are just pics that he posted.  and yes, his artwork is not on the cover for RHT.

  5. @@Alice in Popland

We are trying to find the reason why this was posted.  This forum has a significant amount of smart/in-the-know members and I'd safely say 99% of us are scratching our heads like... "what the hell are you talking about?"

Now, we could be wrong (probably not) but why don't you elaborate more or we can close this thread.  Or we can wait for the 4th of July and while we are celebrating here in USA, we can maybe/possibly/hopefully celebrate some Madonna news too.  But so far, this thread is seemingly a waste unless you have more info.

(PS- We've seen this sort of thing before, thats why most are not buying what you're selling)

  6. Ok, sorry but I don't see any difference from "shut up" in the above statement, or at least that's what I read between the lines.

mind you, i am not offended at all. if that's your standpoint, it's fine. i guess people will not stop saying they want him out though, no matter if they know how the business works or not. so that opinion is, sort of, also locked in. the chant will continue, i am sure. without even a specific hope or goal to change things that way.

i think this thread is still fun btw. at least, no meaningless discussion tonight. lol

Glad this thread is still fun =)

I never said shut up in my original comment or in my clarification.  Those are your words.

  7. we will not have any luck wishing for this or that producer either. and no you´re not disrespectful for posting your opinion. you´re disrespectful for saying ours is just bashing and we should grow up. That´s a difference.

One is speculative about that future.  The other is not.  Guy is her manager.  That appears immutable. That is the actual difference.  The two are no correlated.  Why are we still talking about this?

Look, I am a very logical person that can often times be perceived as condescending or in your words disrespectful.  I get that and I accept that.  You're feelings seem hurt by my words.  I can't control that either.  I hope you are able to move past this.  This is a long thread and fun for most.  I hope it stays that way  =)

  8. Ahhhh =)

you're starting to understand my original point.

Shut up isn't really where I was going with it.  The bashing will continue I'm sure.

Where I was going with it is more...

"How's that constant 'change the management' chanting working for you?  Any luck yet?  Got that out of your system cause its been going on for years and Guy is locked in."

Thats more of where I was going with it... not "Shut Up".  But my purpose is never for either you or MadMark to discontinue voicing your opinions.  I find it ironic that literally as I'm voicing mine, I'm being told I'm disrespectful for doing the same.

Its time to move on guys.

  9. I would be interested in learning a bit more about your understanding of the business.

It seems you're implying you understand business much better when others don't.

    care to elaborate?

    no negativity here, just interested.

What I do for my clients is private, however I manage global well known product brands internationally.

  10. Dead-end opinion is used by me specifically referring to Guy O bashing.  Its futile and I think deep down you guys all know its futile to keep on now for years and years doing it.  And as I have stated previously... although I wish everyone would grow up and stop doing it... you are all entitled in this forum to continue.  Just know there is absolutely nothing the bashing will change in the real world.

  11. You're not seeing the big picture @@NowRadiate.  Madonna owns part of Maverick.  Connect the dots my friend.
He's not a one man shop.

(Sheesh... I didn't realize the most don't understand business.  Everything you're detailing is from a consumer perspective vs. a business one.  You are missing the big picture and I don't mean that to be rude.  I mean that to be informative)

  12. It makes me sigh because you've missed 100% of my original comment.  Its a dead-end opinion.  Please, I am not stopping you from having it. =)  Carry on.  But..... But know, it carries zero weight in the real world.  Fans do not dictate choice of any artist's manager.  Guy is slaying it in reality.  Britney Spears, U2, Nicki Minaj, Mary J. Blidge, Amy Schumer.... the list goes on.  But he's complacent somehow.

I will say, I am happy we can discuss this peacefully.  =)
But Guy ain't going no where.  And there isn't anyone really qualified to do what he does with Madonna at present.

  13. The only thing that she really needs is a new management which is clever, wise and shrewd enough to manage the Queen Of Pop. The music itself was never the real problem with her. There was enough good music on MDNA and Rebel Heart. When the first single is well received an era has the most success, think of Frozen, Hung Up or even 4 Minutes. It has been always like this and will be like this in the future. Some average songs have been on every album, that is normal. But there was never really a bad Madonna album. The majority of the acclaimed music critics always received her albums well. The biggest problem in recent years is her shitty management which tarnished the last two eras with bad decisions. So before you think of new producers or new musical styles please think about a new management first but it has to be a good one.

Ok, this might sting a little..... and I mean no ill-will its just time to think logically.

Can we all just grow up and stop calling for Madonna to change her mgmt?  Think about it in reverse....  What if people said you needed a new mother/father/mentor.  It ain't gonna happen.  Guy has been around and proven himself to Madonna, thats his only job.  Not to prove himself to us.  He's well revered in the music and tech biz and major artists are flocking to him.  Why would she change?

    its a tired comment.

  14. I don't want Madonna to repeat herself unless its with modern production

I don't think we have any reason to fear Madonna will repeat herself.  She's pretty consistent about evolving.  Certain themes will always be on repeat, but sound, look, concept will always be dynamic.  So much in the world is wrong.  Similar to Kathy Griffin, Madonna has been at the forefront of the hate in this world.  I have no doubt that the theme of Revolution of Love will continue on into the next studio album. Hell, she could call the next album Revolution of Love and we'd all love it (before its released) and buy it.

    My opinion:

I think the demo leak and overall good feedback from Rebel Heart and the easiness of her demeanor throughout the Rebel Heart Tour has been a really positive thing for her.    I think the next album even if very politically charged, can be beautiful and impactful **depending** on the way the its designed.  Ray Of Light was filled with tons of positive messaging but packaged in a way that was not threatening.  Similar to Confessions immediately after American Life... Confessions had a lot of messaging but was packaged as to not focus on it.... but its there.

  15. I think Madonna should have one clear sound for the next album. Great songwriting and maybe two producers, three at the most. In terms of sound, it's just gotta feel natural. I'd like a subtle pop disco sound or an authentic pop house album, she touched on 90s house but I think she could do it again with a more modern approach. The one thing Madonna used to do is work with an underground producer and she doesn't do that anymore. I appreciate the rise of the internet makes this more difficult but there is always a producer who only a few people have heard of. Failing that a double album pop dance with Stuart Price anyone and an urban album with Pharrell but the sound needs to be pushed forward so its not a repeat of the past with sacrificing songwriting.

Rebel Heart was great but it could have been presented better with less songs and a clear split across two discs.

100% agree with you.  I think its questionable that Hard Candy, MDNA & Rebel Heart were concept albums like Confessions or Ray Of Light.  I love Rebel Heart for what it is but I do miss Madonna picking a lane and staying in it like confessions and ROL.  I think those choices to be more laser focused resulted in longer lasting remembrance of those era's vs. non-traditional concept albums or more potpourri sound albums.

  16. I knew this was happening even when some were saying it was fake news....

I am happy for Madonna and the two girls Stella and Esther.

Madonna has adopted twin girls from Malawi, according to government officials.

The singer, who had previously denied she was visiting the country with a view to adopting more children, was given permission by the Malawian high court on Tuesday to adopt the four-year-olds Stella and Esther.

Mlenga Mvula, a judicial spokesman, said: “I can confirm that Madonna has been granted an adoption order for two children.â€

Madonna has previously adopted two children from Malawi, David Banda in 2006 and Mercy James in 2009

The twins are being adopted from the Home of Hope orphanage in Mchinji, near the western border with Zambia, where David Banda once lived.

But many in Malawi have accused the government of giving the singer a special exception to laws that prevent non-residents from adopting children to take abroad.

With Madonna and the girls’ birth father present in the courtroom in Lilongwe, a judge ruled in her favour. But the adoption is conditional on Madonna proving she will provide a suitable home.

Dominic Misomale, a government-appointed guardian, will travel with Madonna, Stella and Esther to the US and observe how she looks after them, before reporting back to the government.

Titus Mvalo, a lawyer for Madonna in Malawi, told Reuters: “Madonna has demonstrated over the years that she has passion for Malawi and her children, and therefore the court was satisfied and could not stop the adoption of the twins.â€

The singer dismissed reports in January that she intended to adopt more children from Malawi as “untrue rumours†and said she was visiting the country as part of her work for NGO Raising Malawi.

Esther and Stella will join David Banda and Mercy James, Rocco, from her marriage to Guy Ritchie, and Lourdes, from a previous relationship.

Madonna’s relationship with Malawi has not always been smooth. The former Malawian president Joyce Banda accused her of demanding unending gratitude for her adoptions, but her successor Peter Mutharika said in 2014: “My government has always been grateful for the passion Madonna has for this country.â€

A representative for Madonna did not provide a comment.

  17. I want no more dabbling into film in front or behind unless behind for some who do. I want music and maybe a rarities box someone asked her about during the RH fan questions. How long do you figure we have for another album, looking and usually it's 2-3 years but twice she took 5 - I hope for the later lol.

Film projects are expected to become more common place as time passes is my educated guess, you should be prepared... just saying

If the calendar is correct, film this year with post production late summer and film release before 12.31.2017 for early 2018 award season.  Maybe a new soundtrack song to accompany the film to also be nominated.  Then full album production throughout 2018 with hopeful first single by December 2018 and she has already stated she'll be back on tour in 2019 so this would fit perfectly.  Its becoming very easy to predict the flow now.

  18. But Trump is right, what Madonna said was disgusting. Imagine if some other celeb said something similar about Obama while in the White House.

Madonna is a narcissist, and so is Trump obviously.

Quote: "Honestly, she’s disgusting. I think she hurt herself very badly. I think she hurt that whole... cause," he told Fox News' Sean Hannity in an interview Thursday evening. "I thought her, and a couple of others. But I thought she was in particular... I thought what she said was disgraceful to our country."

Yeah, she was. She really messed up and made the protesters look like fools.

Your constant belief in what is called false equivalency is adding to the world's problems... LITERALLY.

Look up False equivalency.  This comparison you've made is exactly that.

  19. Madonna is a smart lady... Pretty sure she ran that comment by many of her attorneys.  Its what someone at her level has to do.  People like Bill Maher, stand up comedians all have said things with similar context and have been fine.  She'll be fine.

Trump trolls are EVERYWHERE.  The real problem is this new administration wants these types of drama distractions because people and media focus on this petty stuff instead of the real dangerous things this administration has started to do.... don't be fooled by the circus.  Its behind the curtain we need to focus on.
