since i have joined the forum i have read nothing but bashing on madonna usually from the same members .its so negative -  i dont get how you expect a gaga thread to be full of rainbows and peace giving the history of gaga and her fans ?? i see more madonna bashing on this forum than any other artist - what is that about ? im guessing a madonna thread on a gaga forum would not be full of rainbows and candyfloss and peace either - i just think gags fans on this forum are in a foul mood and just having a tantrum because she was not given a oscar nomination..they may calm down soon and get over it hopefully .

so defending madonna is a bad thing now ..ok ..i am being singled out because i see through a lot of members on here and they have a agenda ..there is one kylie fan who always takes the chance to bash madonna and there is a gaga fan who also does the same ...i wont apologise for challenging the opinions they have on madonna 

I think what you mean is other madonna forums dont really welcome madonna bashing with open arms and they remove people who they presume are just in the forum to hate or diminish madonna - i dont think there is anything wrong with me challenging your opinion that gaga ended madonna career - i feel i am being singled out by the people on this forum who enjoy bashing madonna or are fans of kylie or gaga more than they are madonna etc etc

they are all dead so they wont be hiring anybody - madonnas photoshop is not this extreme lol - i mean she does not look as old as they did in that show without photoshop ..

I think its just a fantasy of a gaga fan to think gaga did damage to her career - it was just a coincidence that gaga come on to the scene when radio decided she was too old etc etc ..it was inevitable for her to lose sales , radio support when she turned 50

Any move she makes will cost her fans. It’s literally called a skip button. As far as she is concerned, M is probably grateful her actions have driven certain fans away that are clearly not as artistically or socially inclusive/open minded.

Maybe you should consider growing up as well. 

no its not and she has something to say " ill do what i want and you can like it or not " lol ..it seems she is using the platform to provoke and it works - negative or positive it works and its so much better than it used to be 

i dont think artpop deserved the hate it got at all - i always remember a interview in which her butt plug mr elton john said she had made mistakes with the album ..i found it very rude of him to say such things

the major blow to madonnas career was a shift in how you buy music and streaming , lack of radio support and of course her age not some wannabe who imitated her and pondered to the lgbt to get hit records
MDNA and hard candy would have sold badly with or without gags on the scene

I think you’re rewriting history.
In 2011 Gaga released Born This Way. And while the release and lead single were pretty huge due to the most expensive marketing campaign at the time, after that the album failed and she got a ton of mainstream criticism for Judas with people saying she was copying Madonna again, by tackling religion. 
Then the tour flopped in 2012 when she faked her hip injury. 
And then in 2013 she was back with artpop that was a complete mess in terms of promotion and flopped as well.
Meanwhile, while MDNA wasn’t a huge success, Madonna was on top of her game. I doubt she had any interest in making that album a hit since it was rushed messy and badly promoted. 
But her SB appearance and tour were huge successes that Gaga could only dream of at the time

i thought that backdrop was amazing and spot on ..it was not a attack on gaga but her disgusting fanbase at the time - its not just madonna in them cans its bowie too - i actually feel she gained from this in terms of her getting talked about by a younger generation - they would never have bought her records anyway - she is too old for them - how many gaga fans listened to express yourself and watched the video or watched her performance of this ? it was very clever for madonna ..lets face it madonna is way past the point of caring when it comes to charts - its all about getting talked about - getting her name out there
