  1. I really wish they would have though of doing Words in Madame X. It would have been perfectly placed before Like A Prayer. It also fits the Madame X typewriter theme. That demo of Actions Speak Louder Than Words is so good, especially that ending. It would have been total bliss on live in concert. Sorry if someone has already mentioned this.
  2. Into the Groove Open Your Heart Vogue Secret (Junior's Luscious Mixes) Like A Prayer Ray of Light Beautiful Stranger (Calderone Mix) Hung Up Express Yourself I Don't Search, I Find Bonus: Living for Love
  3. Probably at the Sony Centre Theatre where I saw the Pet Shop Boys twice. The sound is fantastic ... and every seat is a great viewing seat. Even when you stand up you can see very well due to the slant of the levels. Massey Hall could be another possibility but it is smaller. That hall has great acoustics and the sound is amazing--but my guess is she'll be at the Sony Centre.
  4. All this time I thought it was about steaks ... Oh dear!
  5. I want Madonna with Sufjan Stevens or with Feist (written, produced by or to sing with). Also more Pet Shop Boys (produced by, written and featured). A Madonna and Kylie duet would be wonderful, but the song would have to be Vogue/Can't Get You Out of my Head status. I actually thought that it would have been genius if Madonna and Kylie covered the "Wheels on Fire" theme song of Absolutely Fabulous as Eddy and Patsy ... but alas, Kylie did it on her own.
  6. I think Like A Prayer, Justify My Love and Rescue Me are the best Madonna 12" specially priced maxi-singles ever. Ray of Light era had good mixes too.
  7. I loved everything about it: the look, the speech, and the attitude. IF you listen carefully to what she says following the Aretha Franklin tribute video, you'll be reminded why Madonna is a pop/rock star. Like Madonna, Franklin did it her way and never was a puppet. I love how she basically told her audience to pick up an instrument when she spoke about leaving her Paris offer to learn to play guitar. This is making the headlines for petty reasons, but then again what's new? I have a feeling this is the personae of the next album: Amazon Warrior. An artist with a message to deliver.
  8. Also gave us the incarnation of Joan of Arc. So epic and iconic! I really hope Childish Gambino wins. I'd love to see Madonna hand him the win for best video. He is so sexy and that video had everyone talking.
  9. Maybe he's @exclusivemagic, LOL.
  10. Looks like such a spectacular birthday party! I'm happy to see Debi Mazar there, yes they all look very stunning. I wonder if some of this footage will end up in a video or documentary? The makeup and dress in that setting is very picturesque.
  11. Damn that rosé and instagram sound! She's having way too much fun trolling her fans! I'm really digging her new attitude. She seems very happy.
  12. Well I would say Frankie Knuckles definitely influenced Pettibone and Jellybean. It would have been grand to have him work directly with her but I'm sure his sound can be mapped to Madonna in many ways.
  13. Great list ohhh maybe for new songs!?
  14. I really love the early Jellybean/Shep Pettibone remixes. I wish Like A Virgin would have been given full remix treatment with dubs and special 12" mixes other than the one Extended Dance Mix. I would have loved if songs from True Blue had been remixed by Stock Aitken Waterman/Pete Hammond, especially Open Your Heart, Papa Don't Preach or even Causing A Commotion. Also would have liked La Isla Bonita or Who's That Girl be remixed by Lewis Martineé (producer of girl group Exposé and Pet Shop Boys' Domino Dancing), as he had that unique Latin flavour sound. Would have loved songs from Erotica album be remixed by Full Force, DJ Pierre or C+C Music Factory. I know David Cole of C+C did some piano work for the You Can Dance project. Pretender should have been remixed for You Can Dance. I'm still surprised Vogue was never fully remixed by several remixers of that time. Justify My Love/Rescue Me/Like A Prayer mixes were all very well done. Like A Prayer could have been given the Prince remix treatment. It could have been mashed up with Love Song too. Actually I would die if Madonna ever did a new studio cover of a Prince written song--especially Vanity 6's Nasty Girl. I really loved the Calderone mixes from the Ray of Light/Music era. Junior remixes of Secret are epic. I remember wishing American Life songs be remixed by The Postal Service/Jimmy Tamborello/Rilo Kiley. I think it would have been fun to hear an Indie sound to that album. I hope with the new album she introduces new DJ remixes especially from Portugal or young, fresh, off the tip of the new artsy underground, LOL. I'd love remixes by Penguin Prison, Tensnake, Sufjan Stevens, Grizzly Bear, Chromeo, Miss Honey Dijon and/or some hot queer DJ.
  15. YES! I love Pretender too. One of my favs from the early years, and it gets me going with every play "I'll make him dance with me, I'll make him tell me why." Those lyrics (and her voice) are so poignant, and yes "sexy and rock." I wish she would revisit this song. I feel like it should have been remixed and included on You Can Dance.
  16. When I was finishing my thesis in 2015; "Who am I, to decide what should be done. If this is the end then let it come. Let it rain, rain all over me" (Wash All Over Me) stood out in my earbuds and made me very emotional. Also, the song Secret was also released during the time I started coming out to friends, so those lyrics are fun moments to me now in retrospect.
  17. I kinda like it, sexy and fun ... just like sex should be. Hope you all have a fab weekend and get laid.
  18. I love everything about this. Sounds so sexy and is too!
  19. I highly doubt she'd do any, but only one comes to mind ... A re-do of Blond Ambition's iconic Like A Virgin. That would be epic. Also maybe, BA's Into the Groove "hey you don't be silly, put a condom on your willy" segment would be a great reminder to revamp.
  20. The dancing in Papa Don't Preach is iconic, all the girls at school would try to recreate it. Oh and that nip slip ... play pause rewind LOL
  21. I was disappointed with this release as I expected all tracks to be the 7" radio edit/single mix/radio remix. The time flow of the songs would have been a lot more consistent. Especially those long album versions of: Holiday, Frozen, Like A Prayer, Live To Tell, Die Another Day, Take A Bow, Hung Up, Ray of Light, Justify My Love, Hollywood, Music and Vogue. Out: Dress You Up (with that annoying edited intro), Everybody, Cherish IN: You Must Love Me (Single Mix) or You'll See (Spanglish Edit), Substitute For Love (Radio Edit), Keep It Together (Single Remix)
