judging on the dress, it wouldn't surprise me if it's gonna be la vie en rose, it's very art deco. though I'd kill for between the bars, at least we would have a professional recording of it ;-)

Well, if it's true that it's going to be released soon, I have good hopes on a decent edit (not enough time to overdo every single little thing) I'm just so disapointed in myself that I can't get over the loss of WTG ;-)

Ok, I really can't stop thinking about this, I know it's maybe a little too much, but it really means a lot to me. I love them so much since I was a child, both of them    The point is that I'm afraid I'm going to be rather judgy (does this word exist in english?  ) and strict with M this time, you know...

Anyway I was thinking that Sometimes it snows in April, also considered that Prince died on the 21st last month, would be lirically perfect and perfectly fit the charming lightness of her voice as well as Cream and Sign O' The Times (wich has got good similarities to Love Song imo).

    Sometimes it snows in April
Sometimes I feel so bad, so bad
Sometimes I wish life was never ending,
And all good things, they say, never last

I'm nervous for the song choice. Madonna does not have the falsetto to pull off something like Kiss, I Wanna Be Your Lover or Let's Go Crazy etc.But I almost think she could pull something like If I Was Your Girlfriend off oddly enough. She really better not do either Like A Prayer or Hung Up. No one outside of fans know the correlation to Prince so I can already see the backlash 'Leave it to Madonna to make the death of a friend about her by performing one of her own songs at Prince's tribute'.

I'm breathless is one of her best recording time. She was very proud of it too. I wish she dares once to do an album outside of her only frame. Not a second jazz album but maybe... something else!

Songs of it were so so good! It's a treasure in her discography!

it's a long time ago but I do remember being totally underwhelmed by Rain at the time, it wasn't until the video was on big rotation on Mtv that I started warming to it, now obviously it remains as one of the more glorious rich tracks from that album and I still love it!

    Yes please!
I'd totally want a PROPER deluxe re-release, kind of like the ones each and every band from the 80's and 90's are releasing as it's the only way to sell actual records ;-) (well not the ones signed to warner's afcourse)

My ideal boxset would differ for each album depending on the availlable extra material, but they would include the following:

disc one - A proper audiophile remaster of the original album (proper meaning not just louder and no clippings please)
disc two - collection of b-sides, non album singles , alternative versions and remixes, focussing more on rare radio edit's, and promo only mixes.
disc three - demo's of both album tracks and unreleased stuff, multiple versions are welcome ;-)
disc four - DVD including all the related music videos in high quality

Next to the original artwork replica for disc 1, I would love an expanded booklet including alternate pictures, covers etc. (jeri heiden I'm looking at you!) interview with either M or her collaborators (kind of in the vein of pet shop boys re-releases discussing the album and outtakes)

Now, this might seem like a wet dream, an "if only" scenario! but! but! but! EVERYONE is doing this, the cure, duran duran, pet shop boys, bruce springsteen etc etc, they have all released similar deluxe editions of their records, with multiple discs in luxurious boxes. So it's kind of baffling that one of the most collected artists is ignored in this trend of catering an existing fanbase. I mean if duran duran fans around the world are spending money on a boxset for each and every album they have released it's kind of hard to believe M would have a problem selling them! But, again, the key is in the content, is it's anything like the horrible remasters we already have, then no.

well, because it gives insight into the creation of a well known work of art. It's the making off in a way. Not unlike seeing the film sheets of a photographer's famous picture, seeing the one they chose over others gives a lot of insight into the creative process.
It's an addition to the original piece, not a replacement

Actually I love this tour, doesn't seem rushed to me at all, the flow of the setlist is great, if a bit weird at the end with CS and UB. I actually really like the backdrops in this one, to me they are more simple on purpose, not competing with what's happening on stage and unifying all the segments in a nice way giving more attention to the performance which was outstanding!
The only thing that puzzled me were the Messiah and SEX interludes, they seemed to be a bit out of place and on their own, not like Illuminati, which was a perfect intro to that section.
Also, and here comes the blasphemy, I'm not sure about Iconic, it's great and all, but it's a bit, seen that, next! Which is only a testament to M's performance skills, 'cos she really doesn't need the fanfare as much.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to the dvd release, I hope they keep the live feeling, without cutting too much to the videos.

Needles to say, none af that would happen if Guy O, would only assume she's on her way to a recording studio. He'd have the latest hippest producers and writers meeting her at the gate by the time she arrives, and it would be "would have been nice if released three years ago by the numbers" all over again. As much as I hate the Guy O dissing game (not Guy R, diss away!) but let's face it, M has not made a bold move or risky choice of producers since he's managing her, not one actually

edit: wasn't supposed to sound as negative as it maybe does ;-) I'm super happy and impressed with M's RHT and TOAC, I'm just hoping she holds on to that magic xxxxx

It's always kind of a slippery slope predicting M's move (in my experience she goes out doing the opposite anyway) But what I would love for M to do is record shorter albums, to be released more frequently, or maybe even only release ep's, just to be able to work quicker. As rushed as MDNA was, M has actually made many of her best albums in a very short period of time. I think the lack of her studio involvement (writing and producing) of MDNA was more to blame for it's mediocre sound. Same like HC the list of cobtributers looked good on paper but turned out not to be as succesful as one would assume. Which just proves that M doesn't do the calculated succesformula as well as people assume, it's only when she goes on her instincts that magic happens and it either turns out to be a major success (LAP, ROL) or is totally misunderstood (E, AL) either way, we end up with great albums!
So after tears of a clown, here's a very careful prediction, going on her own selection of her back catalogue and judging by the fan's reactions to it, combined with her reconnecting with her fanbase during the RHT her focus will be more towards her fans than the general public. As a second influence, the tribulations she's going through privatly plus her more fierce comebacks to the criticism she's been receiving lead me to believe (and you should read believe as a in a desperate wish ;-)) that her next work will be closer to her heart, more personal but also more risque and experimental.
