Madonna turns 65 in just a few hours... a very special birthday considering what happened just a few weeks ago and that she's celebrating 40 years in the music business this year.
She's still here, she's still rocking (enjoying her first worldwide hit in more than a decade at 64/65 with "Popular" and about to start her new tour) and that's pretty much a good reason to be happy and celebrate her.
So let's get the celebration started! Some media already did today, a day earlier:

Great job, honey. I had never listened to the full soundtrack before, only saw the vinyl once at a collector's house a hundred years ago.
My favorite Madonna movie by far.

Awesome. Now that’s what I’m talking about. Finally, People magazine gives her a much deserved tribute cover issue. From the looks of it two different collector covers. Can’t wait to get my copies..

Here is my unmixed version of You Can Dance. It has 14 tracks. Everything is from digital sources except the last second of Over and Over (it’s unnoticeable) and, obviously, the dub of Over and Over (but is from a good vinyl-rip).

It took years for me to appreciate Borderline for the classic it is. In the early days, I always skipped it and thought it was boring.  Back then, I waa surprised how it even became her first top 10 when I thought there were far better tracks on the album. I love it now!!

Borderline, but the video version. The album version I personally dislike the "keep on pushing me baby, don't you know you drive me crazy" and "look what your love has done to me, come on baby set me free" parts.

when i read MADONNA AND WARNER MUSIC GROUP ANNOUNCE MILESTONE, CAREER-SPANNING PARTNERSHIP, this was exactly the level of quality and attention to details i was expecting.
