    Madonna's vocals are an enigma by which I am forever mystified and enamored. Loved it, loathed it, despised it, rejoiced for it, and now... respect and understand it so much! Although I appreciate her post-Evita vocals (and major props to ROL and AL vocals; anything beyond COADF vocals for me is just MEH...... well I digress)... I would prefer and sell all of my assets to hear her guttural, breathy, hoarse vocals from 1985 to 1993. WTGT vocals are everything, way better and way more passionate than BAT vocals. GST was one her BEST vocal performances. I don't care if it's imperfect, I care that it's passionate, raw, energized, and guttural.

      Yes! Praying as well. I feel like HIV/AIDS led her to Malawi, which is great. Madonna has such been such a gay icon in terms of HIV/AIDS advocacy and research -- way before it was "in fashion" to do so. One day there will be a cure!

    Let's be real though. When you say HIT you would be talking about something as big as how "Music" was in 2000 -- super widely accepted, super popular, and super widespread played all over. Cause that was her last big hit in the mainstream, global, and general public view. After that, and due to AL, unfortunately it was just not the same although people do know how big she is. Then all was okay and decent. Then this artist whose name is Gaga or Caca or Kaka (sp?) was just the start of her being seen in a different light (aging, relevancy, legacy, etc.) Since then it was just efforts to "connect" with today's generation when it would have done her more good to do adult contemporary/not pay attention to today's pop/not be taken away by other stuff. But I digress. So no. She won't anymore. Sorry to say.

    That's the point. Madonna's death would and will be something viral, insanely talked about, and globally impactful like that of Michael Jackson's so expect many many many people basking in the moment (for lack of a better phrase) and self-proclaiming how they loved Madonna, how Madonna is a legend, how Madonna is one of the best, this and that... when half of them has probably had something hateful to say about her when she was alive. Commoners and celebrities alike will do so. It's always about what the great general public does and thinks that gets people into doing and saying things -- even if it's momentary. This will be the same for Madonna. Although I hope there will be more genuine praise and credit-giving rather than just bandwagoners when she passes (in 675 years)

      @gabvinet Exactly. Although I'm not that fond of Madonna's "falsetto" ish vocal on the song -- similar to that vocal style heard on Human Nature and Mother & Father. Lol but I guess it works. That duet was groundbreaking at the time lol

      Same. It was November 12th 2005 when it was released back there in the Philippines and I took the bus from my town to the next capital city just to buy the album. It was only 250 pesos. The entire music store had Madonna COADF posters, it was heaven.

    There you go, too much teasing ! And while it went with the “go big†rhetoric of the 80s, that big hair on M for me was maybe my least fave. Except when it was wet! Loved the wet looks of that short blond hair also! And yes Steven Meisel 1991 photoshoot is probably the epitome of “majestic†and “glameur†which few today can embody. [emoji1362]

    I just didn't like the big/poofy hair she had on the movie. I guess she wanted to have different styles of that short blond hair she did during that era. All in all, her hair was game-changing in pop when she did that makeover in 1986. Now you see it as part of any female pop artists' "maturity" plan as a way to convey a major change in their life, image, and points of view. Lol. We got M to thank for that yet again! And really, I think she looked like a grandmother to me on the video! Interestingly, she didn't look like that for me on the "Papa Don't Preach" and "Open Your Heart" videos. Hmmm...

    You guys! But I am so obsessed with her hair from 1986 to 1987! (Except that big ol' poofy one from the WTG movie) Yes that platinum blonde hair to me looks better than ever! I think that dye made her look older tbh but it suited her! I personally think that Madonna just has that face and facial structure with which she will look good in any hairstyle! Loved her short hairstyles over the years! My faves are a toss-up between her hair during the beginning of WTGT and the GST pixie hair cut! I'd love to see her today in platinum/grayish short hair a la True Blue music video! Wow! Btw, is it only me or does she really look like a grandmother/part of the Golden Girls on the True Blue video? LOVE IT SO MUCH!
