  1. I'd love to think she might be writing new songs somewhere besides enjoying family moments, now that she can't go out finding film producers to harass. She's just probably reading many many books somewhere cozy and being glad she can do that again after the tour.
  2. Sorry I just don't understand the point of this thread. People can say whatever they want about Madonna. We shouldn't be discussing each individual's absurd opinions. One could say she is an alien or a witch or that she never made a good album lol. I think Madonna hasn't made the best music in the world. Women like Bjork have consistently made better quality in music. But in this world where it's the pop music that sells, because it's literally pop-ular no one has done it better than Madonna because she never lost her catchiness, she never made albums worse than the best selling pop albums and she always made work that stood out. It's not worth discussing anyone's opinion when it includes the word age in there. My mom and so many moms will retire at an older age than her because apparently they ain't old enough.
  3. It'd be interesting to see how it will sell given it's a theatre tour that only one small portion got to experience. As for the platform, keep checking your Grindrs people Amongst dms from hunks, Madame X could be coming with the clouds to premiere her latest tour
  4. Yeah, the new artists I spoke about don't have that significant fanbase to make their albums no. 1. They mostly do singles because it's the only thing they can sell. And they won't get that iTunes number one in sixty countries because they lack the hype. Madonna could have an album of white noise released and it'd still sell for a few hours purely out of hype I think. Not just her of course. Taylor Swift hit no. 2 with ME! because of the hype. Their names are sometimes bigger than the music. With Madonna I think it's the name that sells that still impressive amount of albums, and the name that sells such few singles. Yeah I was wrong about the singles part before.
  5. I think it's hype that a Madonna album and lead single shoots atop the charts for a week, referring to all her recent work. A new artist with the exact same work would probably never go on top like that but would have better endurance and single success on the charts due to radio. Now if we're talking about her entire career, of course she's not hype. She's been killing almost every genre and made quality songs in every decade, famous or not. There was always great music to back up whatever gossip was keeping her relevant.
  6. Future future future. I remember listening to it when it came out as a promotional single and thought it was the best so far from the upcoming album (I was very disappointed in Crave and still am). I think during this troubled season more and more people will look it up and understand it a little better. The Eurovision visuals also were so stunning. The masks on the dancers also before their time, she did that before it was cool and necessary.
  7. Die another day but only because it's really strong and epic at the end. Hollywood is intriguing throughout the video, Beyonce even copied the legs on the TV part, and her in red hair is one of the most gorgeous phases of her videography.
  8. Give Me All Your Luvin'. A feast for the eyes. The last decade was a return to form for Madonna's videos. Most were spectacular. Living For Love does indeed feel less grant than it should be but I happen to love the whole red aesthetic and somehow feel like the video sucks me in it and on the stage with her.
  9. I became a fan listening to 4 minutes, while finishing primary school. It was huge back then and her last huge moment up till now. Even celebration became big and lots of my male friends had those two on their phones. I still believe 4 minutes is my early puberty song. I could just listen to the instrumental and feel its power. Then at 14 I discovered Sorry and that sealed the deal.
  10. Living For Love vs. Girl Gone Wild Devil Pray vs. Gang Bang Ghosttown vs. I'm Addicted Unapologetic Bitch vs. Turn Up The Radio Illuminati vs. Give Me All Your Luvin' Bitch I'm Madonna vs. Some Girls Hold Tight vs. Superstar Joan of Arc vs. I Don't Give A Iconic vs. I'm A Sinner HeartBreakCity vs. Love Spent Body Shop vs. Masterpiece Holy Water vs. Falling Free Inside Out vs. Beautiful Killer Wash All Over Me vs. I Fucked Up Best Night vs. B-Day Song Veni Vidi Vici vs. Best Friend Rebel Heart is a much better album while MDNA sounds a lot older than it is but you can't really prove it song by song. Both are bop after bop after bop and people who don't like them can't stop comparing and/or can't dance
  11. Both are beautiful and sonically rich but Playground makes me cry. As I've said before I like it when she specifically adresses something that touches her, although it must have been only the movie that inspired her for this one. And I don't know, passage of time can be so cruel and it only leaves us with memories to heal the pain. Take a bow, I don't know what it's about.
  12. Skin, cause my sensual side comes before my scientific one And that desperate I'm not like this all the time touches me every time.
  13. I think I'd too like her to make a rock album. Even when she sings old hits like Burning Up with her electric guitar they sound so much cooler. I'd be bored with another electronic or disco album and pissed with a hip hop record. However when it comes to the lyrics, I'd love me some honesty and details that make me feel like I know her, like she did in not so great songs like Mother and Father or I Don't Give A, only more tastefully done. I don't like her singing vaguely about love. Even Confessions doesn't feel so confessional lyrically. So yeah, rock album with personal lyrics and a variation of the way she uses her voice like she did with Madame X, save the heavy effects. An album I wouldn't wanna compare to anyone else's.
  14. ...you hear young people stan any newcomer artist and you feel the strong urge inside you to let them know why their artist's achievements will always be lesser ?
  15. I think the ultimate song Madonna featuring someone is 4 minutes. In the last decade I really loved what the two guys did with Iconic. And let's not forget which female queen granted Madonna her only two, though minor, hits of the 10's.
  16. Give me all your luvin' Girl gone wild Masterpiece Living for love I rise I was in junior high when the MDNA singles came out so bubblegum and dramatic gay pop were all I was about anyway. Living for love is probably her best single of this decade in my head, even with its issues.
  17. Yeah sure The promise of HardcoreDonna then a video with fairies. Brilliant!
  18. Hung up Sorry 4 minutes Celebration Die another day Last one grew on me considerably after the latest lame ass Bond theme
  19. I think something like that would do justice to the AL album! I've also seen a black and white one with her back turned and a flag but I cannot find it now. Those of you who haven't, should also check artofliamalxndr on ig. He's done a great job turning her albums into comic covers.
  20. This song was an album late. Probably like love that could be waiting just around the corner ??
  21. Agreed but she always wants to sound like a robot when she is with him. It only works with a few albums and then a change from that would be most welcome.
  22. Idk it makes me so sad to see her with a cane. She said on Ellen once no one has to retire due to age unless probably they walk with a zimmer frame. Hope after the tour she properly gets it fixed so she can thrive again, but only to the best of her abilities in her seventh decade of course ?
