I hate how divided this community has become. I thought we were fans throughout the good AND the bad times. It's not like Madonna is dying or has single-handedly caused the apocalypse. It was just a random guest appearance that didn't go as well as we all hoped, but it's not the end of the world. Everything will be okay. Madonna ain't done yet.

I decided to create this topic to bright the atmosphere here a bit, and to chat the best looks for the event which takes place tomorrow (which also involves praying M will attend!)! :D
This year, the theme is "America: Anthology of Fashion" and I'm kinda curious for it tbh lol, so do you think M is attending? Even tho she doesn't, are you excited for someone's look? I'm honestly so hyped to see what Katy will wear, also hoping Gaga is there, what bout u? Discuss while we wait! =D

I don't think there's anything wrong with Madonna. But I do think there's something wrong with our expectations of her. She's 63 years old, not 33, so obviously she won't be vogueing the house down anymore and perhaps she can't be bothered anymore with doing things perfectly. It was just a guest appearance, nothing more.

Here's my two cents. I had formed a judgement before watching the entire thing based on reading so many shitty reviews here.
I..... actually enjoyed it LOLOLOLOL.
Medellin, one of my LEAST fav songs of her career, was amazing to me. I thought the instrumentation brought so much new life to it as a live performance, one I think could be a great number in future tours for M (if she even uses this version).  Honestly I forgot about Maluma the entire time.  I forgot about her ass, I forgot about her not being filtered.  Just the way her dress went with the wind, her energy... it was unmatched.  She seemed to know exactly where she was going (minus the word flubs in the beginning).  She moved and hit marks like she had been dying to get on stage again.
Music was a mess.  I have to laugh because the two of them just seemed like two people stuck on a stage having a great time and not know what the fuck either was doing, but having a great time.  Yeah there was a backing track, big deal.  It was a rushed performance.  That jacket was hideous.  It was like Nikki Finn meets gay cowgirl realness, the combo of it all.  But again, I didn't mind it.  She certainly isn't physically where she used to be stamina wise on stage.  But she looked like she had fun even fumbling through the numbers LOL.
The final pose though, covering his damn face I screamed haha.  THAT was a great way to end the train wreck of a number.

That whole narrative that something's terribly wrong around or within her: her yes-to-all team, her addictions, her depression, she's gonna end up like Michael, Prince and Whitney... just any conspiracy or secret reason to cover the fact that their once cold, perfect, up in the pedestal Goddess always was and is, in the end and underneath it all: human - and now older.

I see she's getting a lot of good press over Latin America tbh, saying her appearance has a highlight on the show and those things...

Ok so before watching I was expecting the absolute worst from the reactions on here.
Medellin was cute enough. Music was a bit off and she was not on point. Actually she was clear enough at the end of the performance to realise that Malluma was not on the floor in the right spot and made sure she dragged him back so he wouldnt get injured when the platform descended into the stage, so she wasnt totally out of it, while he looked like he didnt really know what was going on so mom was the one in charge there.
 
Yes there's been some questionable fashion, surgery, over editing and she does seem to have lost her confidence since 2015 somewhat. The Madame X tour was good though.
I dont know about anyone else but I'm personally struggling with getting back into real life and work again after two years of covid. Life is tough mentally at the moment. 
She has also had a really bad injury, which she hasnt recovered from. and has just had a break up..plus I've said it before. Menopause really fucks with your head. You just go blank in the middle of what you are doing ,
The endless procedures are worrying and the ass is a joke that seems to put her balance and entire movement off.
I think she's just going through it a bit at the mo and while i'd keep a cautious eye of concern out for her if I was someone in her team that loved and respected her, this is not a Whitney or Britney situation. 
She is 63, but 63 really isnt old and she is moving and holding herself in the manner of someone of much advanced years than 63. I think she's obviously in pain and out of sync with her body. 
Maybe she'll go back and look at this and think..yeah I wasn't great there and a few things need to change. She'll obviously be reconsidering some of her recent life choices as we all do after a break up. She's also observing the arc of her life with the biopic and must have a lot of feelings and thoughts. 
I hear the voices for concern and while I appreciate that most of them come from a place of love, as well as a little bit of shock that this once seemingly invincible woman is ....less than she was, I think we need to be careful of crossing lines of concern just now. 
If true insiders have the know on her current state of health (mental and physical), and can hand on heart say there are voices of concern then that's a different matter. 
But I do trust her. I think shes just been a bit lost for a while and sometimes you need to hit a place pretty low to begin the climb back up. Imma cut her a while heap of slack on this one. I think she's trying to rely on some old and tired over sexualised public tricks and power moves that actually don't serve her very well anymore. They don't make her look powerful so the effect is totally lost. 
I think Maluma was respectful and Madonna had (sadly) another less than favourable outing...but maybe she knows she needs to get back out there after three years and this was her first day back on the job as it were. Ultimately she didn't look like she was having any fun at all...and that's more the worry for me.

I thought the performance was fun.
Maybe a little under-rehearsed. But also, you have to consider she wasnt going to go all out. It's HIS show. It would be disrespectful for her to upstage him.

Yeah, but she's a human being too. And s**t happens. We don't know if it was her in-ear sound, the nerves (this was her first HUGE performance in front of a stadium audience since... 2012??), or simply her age. Or all at the same time.
I'm not justifying her. She's had better performances, that's for sure. But I just see a 63-year old woman, who probably could have rehearsed more for this, doing her thing and refusing to play the game to please everyone. The easiest thing for her would be covering from head to toe and having a nice hairstyle and signing a slow song, standing or seated. But she, being Madonna, chooses the opposite and it's going to be harder and harder the older she gets, but it's her choice.
I think this Madonna, as hard as it can be to see her aging in front of our eyes (cause it reminds us of our own aging too? Wink wink) is a natural evolution of who she's always been (except the Ritchie years, where she wasn't really being herself), and I totally respect her for that, even if she's gonna have the whole world - and sadly her fans too - against her from now on.

Madonna's debut single Everybody was released in October 1982, so it makes sense for the remix collection to be released in October. I don't want to fool myself in hoping the collection will be released this summer, but I do expect a little taste of what's to come, like a new remix of Music, Vogue or whatever, just not another remix of Frozen.

I think there are some people here who are just being mean for the sake of it, but there are others who are genuinely concerned about her welfare. 
Yes, she’s older but this performance is a decline from the Madame X shows which a lot of people on here saw. 
I thought she was really good on Madame X. Admittedly I saw one of the first shows in Brooklyn before her injuries got too bad. 
I don’t know how to describe it but I feel the way she speaks in interviews or even on Instagram is quite different and not as with it as she even was on Madame X. 
I love seeing new pictures and video of her daily, but I think having Ricardo there photographing and filming her constantly  may not be the best thing. It seems stressful like you are on a reality show.
