In answer to your question about who made me believe the virus exists, I don't need a "who". I, like you and everyone else on here, have a mother, a father, people I love and care about, and I am a humanist. I would never take any risk to harm another person. If there is any cause for me to feel that I might, I don't proceed. I live impeccably by my word and my fundamental drive in life is Love.
To further address the topic, I also know people who have lost family members to, and who were diagnosed with, Covid-19. That is enough for me to be willing to check any skepticism at the door. I'm a human being. I understand that everyone is behind their screen feeling confused and angry, but I personally refuse to lose my sense of humanity just because I don't have to take personal responsibility for my language when hidden behind a username.

I trust myself. I don't live my life any differently than anyone else with a sense of risk management. I question everything, and if you don't, that is your prerogative too. I ask this question in all honesty and humility...Will everyone be okay to take a vaccine that hasn't gone through the usual requirement of due diligence and two year clinical studies, knowing that the possibility of vaccine injury is high and that the effectiveness of the expected vaccine is estimated to be no more than 50%, and no less than 30%? There are endless questions surrounding the ethics, morality and science of our current crisis. I repeat that I have no certainty about anything. Anyone claiming to is truly insane.

Are you familiar with Dr Fauci's history  when he was handling the AIDS crisis, and how he was viewed by gay men and AIDS activists in the 1980s? I actually do question the FDA's authority on many issues! As I said before, I have a very different world view in comparison to anyone who thinks that government agencies are working for the common good of the people. That, in my very humble opinion, is what will prevent us from finding common ground here unfortunately, but it's a risk I am willing to take. I also will gladly eat humble pie as soon as we've found a definitively empirical solution to this global health crisis. I look forward to reading more debate about this. My thanks to all who have shared in this discussion.

It's clearly a divisive issue, and I respect your opinion, and the time you took to individually address the points I made. Everything I wrote was pure circumspection, and I work hard daily to stay as objective as possible in how I experience and process information. There are, however, many "experts" and medical professionals who agree with this particular doctor in terms of treatment of the illness in those with comorbidity, and I cannot personally dismiss them anymore than I would the type of "expert" analysis fed to us through the public voices selected by the mainstream media.  I am deeply untrusting of all sources until there is proof. All I think anyone is asking for is due process. I expect scientific experts to give proof to support their current theories, as well as proof of the reasons for their rejection of other "expert" opinions. You are correct that the media doesn't control scientific consensus, but they do have control over what they selectively choose to report on, as well as how they report on anything.
Science is an evolutionary discipline. Any scientist claiming to have irrefutable evidence of 100% certainty about anything novel and previously undiscovered must be scrutinized because that is in itself the very essence of science itself. We know almost nothing about this disease, and in case anyone hasn't noticed, power structures are scrambling and crumbling at this time. Therefore, I am not sure why anyone wouldn't understand that fascism comes in a multitude of forms, and generally it is pernicious in its attack. I understand that I have a very different world view than the vast majority of people, but I believe in debate in order that we might all learn from each other.

I'm sorry. I have to say this....  @Clark_Kentis going through something very personal and sad right now and he's very busy. I know personally what he's going through and it's awful. So Please please have heart and give him a break for what we might not know and without question and just be thankful someone is able to give us a few fun details especially living in such hard and worryingly times currently. It's so appreciated.

Yeah I thought about that. I’d like to eventually merge the whole Madonna/LAV/Boy toy era into 1 without titles and credits inbetween Cos I know some fans like to just watch it all like that. It just makes more sense on YouTube to have episodes no longer than 10 minutes I think Cos then the more casual fans are likely to watch them.

Would be wonderful if true. Madonna could add her own verse. It won't be hard as levitating rhymes with waiting, anticipating and hesitating

Kalabanshe reacted to Alibaba in Is the Madame X tour her worst tour?
I think there was much to be enjoyed in this show, but I found the stage design much simpler than I’d wanted, and the tone of the show was slightly stilted and murky. I felt like it had more potential than was actualized, and unfortunately Madonna’s injuries only added to this impression. However, let’s be real. I have seen a lot of modern theater, and there is some gimmicky shit out there! This felt like straight from the mind of playwright M...She has a style, and even when occasionally suffering from a tiny itch of amateurism, Madonna is always a remarkable and compelling performer! And while she can afford the luxury of experimentation at this advanced stage in her performance career, the fact that she committed to the entire Madame X project and saw it through as the world was crumbling around her while facing hugely debilitating injuries and sickness, is unfortunate, but extraordinary; even miraculous! Brava!

The tour deserves to be considered on par with The Girlie Show in my humble opinion:
    1. Confessions
    2. Blond Ambition
    3. MDNA
    4. The Girlie Show/Madame X
    5. Drowned World
    6. WTG
    7. Sticky + Sweet (both versions)
    8. Rebel Heart
    9. Reinvention
    10. Virgin (And even coming in last, it would get an A+ by any other standard if it weren’t so short!)

Kalabanshe reacted to madonnaultimate in Why I love MadameX
I wanna start off by acknowledging that evolution and change is part of the human psyche, we all change in this world. The question for me is changing towards which direction? MadameX I believe is the best direction Madonna could follow. A truly great, greatly under estimated album, career and personal choice for Madonna.
She's more awake, more driven, more outspoken, calm, honest, fearless and maybe content (?!) than she ever was. On a personal level , through ups and downs, Madonna built a loving family, an insane career and money and she evolved as a human- not only her approach and art got more multi layered but she has achieved the power in this world to drive people - a leader from many aspects.
MadameX is the manifestation of real thoughts, human thoughts unfiltered and raw. (If Ray of Light was a stage where she started growing as a person, questioning things, finding a path to follow  MadameX is running down that road with a clear destination)
Lyrically ? I LOVE it ! All of it. Let me add some personal highlights here
    - I went back to my 17th year, allowed myself to be naive, to be someone I've never been.
    - Cause your world's such a shame, cause your world's in so much pain. They are so naive They think we are not aware of their crimes. We know, but we are just not ready to act
The storm isn't in the air, it's inside of us
    - Everybody knows they don’t have a chance to get a decent job, to have a normal life. When they talk reforms, it makes me laugh, they pretend to help, it makes me laugh
    - Not everyone is coming to the future, not everyone is learning from the past
    - Get that old man, put him in a jail where he can't stop us, where he can't hurt us
    - And I'll be a woman, if she's raped and her heart is breaking. Wild is the world and lonely is the path.
    - I'm tired of being far away from home, far from what can help, far from where it's safe
    - Front line, I won't stand in the back, 'cause you want me to
    - I guess I'm lost I had to pay the cost. The thing that hurt me most was that I wasn't lost (love this!)
-Freedom's what you choose to do with what's been done to you

    Musically? Love it!
It's an album I will listen to start to end, very unique songs for very specific emotions, sonically great and i love the pairing of the old and the new, a lot. She explored and created in a time where a LOT has been done in art. I do adore the abuse of autotune if its done properly, and in this album it is done very good.
    Visually? Stunning
    Music videos? All INSANE !
Tour? Not a world wide tour but an amazing tour and concept where you could feal a warmth you couldnt in arenas.
Despite the issues, the problems, the malfunctions, the pain Madonna fought her way through of it all to deliver her message, thoughts, fears to us - She admitted feeling so lonely at some time and she really seemed to be. And she found her way again.
What Madonna does and expresses in MadameX is something the world is not quite ready for yet and I'm truly hurt that despite trying to build a better world while we have the ability, for earth and for our species, we are so resilient to change and I think this is what Madonna has been doing her whole life and I admire - embracing change.

This isn’t just about George Floyd and remembering him. This is about systemic racism in this country. This is about two white men hunting down a black jogger and shooting him with a shotgun. This is about slavery. This is about systemic oppression. This is about a justice system that throws black men in jail for non violent crimes. This is about confederate statues looming over town squares letting black people know where they stand in their own towns. This is about the “president” of the United States calling black protesters thugs and white protesters with AK47s fine people. A racist, lying, corrupt, rapist in the White House whose own wife shows disdain. This is about the Vice President walking out of a football game because a player takes a knee in a “peaceful protest”. “Love” for your country’s flag taking precedent over an unlawful killing. Or however white people want to try and justify it so it doesn’t sound like racism. I can go on and on...  this is about Eric Garner and Trayvon Martin, Sandra Bland, Castillo and all the ones that weren’t videotaped.

There are thousands upon thousands of protesters... there’s no way they can all talk to eachother and agree what should happen and what shouldn’t.  This is a reaction in real time, not some boardroom discussion.  So if a target gets looted... oh well. That ISN’T the message. If that’s what you are focusing on then you are not listening. Don’t try and label this terrorism. This is OUR PEOPLE. Our brothers and sisters.

And just so we’re all on the same page... there’s some funny shit happening out there on the ground too. Random people walking up and breaking windows and then leaving. To entice looting.  Not even part of the protests.  Cops instigating stuff so they have a reason to detain. Cop cars driving by and opening doors to hit protesters. Cops pointing guns at people to get them to disperse. This isn’t just a one sided thing. What these protesters are doing is not violence. Burning a cop car isn’t violent. It’s a message. No one is out there shooting anyone.

We don’t get to repress people for hundreds of years and then dictate how they respond. We don’t get to be upset about our ruined communities when they aren’t invited to partake. This isn’t time for an “opposing view”, it’s a time to listen.

and yes... you are safe. Saying you are not is the same as calling the cops when a black man asks you to put your dog on a leash in Central Park. No one is out there killing white people and putting their heads on sticks. If they were though, and If it was your own police officers doing it,  you’d probably protest.

I do not adhere to any of the projections emboldened in the quoted paragraph. We probably have entirely different views of life, and therefore it would be impossible for me to make anything I say relatable. However, I certainly acknowledge that by avoiding resorting to making personal statements of judgment on others - like qualifying their words as being stupid - I also save myself a good deal of spiritual turmoil. Don Miguel Ruiz has some excellent basic principles that can always be applied when that ego starts to itch.
