  1. I was there the first night in Miami. And I'll be there both nights in Dallas for Celebration!
  2. Reinvention Tour - Atlanta Sticky & Sweet - Houston (they staged the floor backwards from Ticketmaster and my center aisle seat was on the opposite far side of the stage. In a stadium. Very upset) Rebel Heart Tour - Miami (originally was slated to be opening night but moved from Sept to January mid-way through the tour) Madame X - Chicago #1 (4th row) Madame X - Chicago #2 (3rd row) Celebration Tour - Pittsburgh (2nd row center off catwalk) (her 40th Anniversary Tour on my 40th Birthday!) Celebration Tour - Dallas, TX #1 (5th row to the side of the catwalk) Celebration Tour - Dallas, TX #2 (2nd row center off catwalk)
  3. Deuxmoi has a horrible reputation for posting literally *anything* anyone sends them and have been called out for being incorrect on numerous occasions. In an interview from a while back, Deuxmoi even admitted to getting fake PR stories from celebrity publicists and passing them off as real "insider information". Take everything they post with a big grain of salt.
  4. There are plenty of tickets left in some cities. Dallas night two isn't even half sold.
  5. I'm a long time Madonna fan. I know she comes on late. I accept it as a fan and move on. However - As someone who works in the touring entertainment field, I have a behind-the-scenes insight that most don't. What really sucks is how this affects the blue-collar stagehands. They are compromised of a mostly local, union crew. They aren't traveling with her. They are just working a job locally. When she's being a diva and not coming on stage on time, they are forced to work longer hours than expected away from their families (though with double pay) to accommodate her being a brat and doing what she wants. That's disrespectful to the local stagehands who just want to do their job and go home. And NO - artists coming on hours late is not common place. Maybe some big name, unstoppable divas do it on occasion because they can (Beyonce, Prince, Mariah, etc.). But most artists can't and don't get away with doing it regularly. The fines for adding overtime pay to stagehands/ushers/security would bankrupt them and piss off their promoters. It eats into their profit. Quit excusing this bad behavior just because she can get away with it. I love her. I don't love this behavior.
  6. Disagree. The entire Blonde Ambition Tour was rife with controversy. In the US, the Moral Majority used her as a political lightning rod. The religious section outraged Catholics. She simulated masturbation onstage. She featured gay dancers. She talked about AIDS. All, at the time, were considered political statements. Then during the Girlie Show, the entire "Beast Within" section was a direct response to the United State's new government policy of "Don't Ask Don't Tell" with gays in the military. Please don't pretend that her tours have never dipped into politics. They always have.
  7. If the ticket time says 8pm and shes not on stage until 10 or 11pm then she's literally not on time. The fact that its a constant discussion here among 30-year fans who now expect it means that it's likely a bigger issue and problem for the general audience who don't.
  8. Sorry. I gotta call this out. I've worked in Marketing at a major entertainment venue for the last decade. I've had lots of big name acts come through. I've never seen a headline act start three hours late from the ticket time. Never. Does it happen in other venues occasionally? I'm sure when there are circumstances that warrent it. But no, it's not the norm. Staff gets a run-time sheet days -sometimes weeks before a show. Assuming it was an 8pm ticket, they usually run like this: • 7:00pm -- Doors open • 8:00-8:30pm -- support act • 9pm - Headliner; 85 minute runtime; no intermission Deviating from the run-time sheets almost always incur overtime costs for the, mainly local, union stage crew but also the venue staff. Penalties are usually built into contracts so this doesn't happen. I suspect this is why a lot of stops on her previous tours had abbreviated setlists: the venue threatened fines for a late start time and pushing their crew into overtime. Yes, I as a longtime Madonna fan, know that she won't start on time. I expect it and plan my night around it. But lets not pretend that starting 3 hours after the ticketing time is normal behavior. I work in this industry. It's not.
  9. It's actually not louder at all. It sounds like a totally different mix. Which, upon further investigation, is correct. The full, extended Calderone Remix has more synth arps running throughout the choruses and in my opinion has better overall dynamics. It's punchier while the edit, in comparison, sounds more stripped down. The radio edit doesn't include those synths which is why it sounded so off and "muffled" to me when I first heard it. The extra synth arps are higher in frequency and helped fill out the mix I think. Shame Calderone left them out of the radio edit.
  10. I haven't listened to all 50 tracks yet but did anyone else find the dynamics on "Nothing Really Matters (Club 69 Remix)" and "Beautiful Stranger (Calderone Club Remix)" to be off? It sounds compressed to hell and almost muffled. I've been DJing for 20+ years and I'm extremely familiar with how these two tracks used to sound. After noticing the change, I listened to my rip of "Beautiful Stranger" (digitally sourced file from a promo cd) and it sounds so much better. That lead synth is almost buried in the new re-master. Anyone else notice this?
  11. Um -- that's absolutely not okay to make fun of the color of someone's skin. Is there a moderator around?
  12. The vocals fell off beat a few times in the clip that leaked so I'm pretty sure that was just a live mashup she mixed in real time with the Vogue acapella over the top of Royal House's track "Can You Party (Instrumental Dub).
  13. Listening to the clip, I'm wondering if that wasn't just Honey layering the Vogue acapella (plus some delay FX) over the Royal House track in real time. The vocal falls off beat a few times which leads me to believe she was doing this live. If this was a proper remix made in her studio I think she would have lined up the vocals and the beats better.
  14. Close. It's Todd Terry/Royal House's "Can You Party (Instrumental Dub)" which the Jungle Brothers sample for their track "I'll House You." Those beats have been sampled to death over the years.
  15. The song playing in the Instagram video is the original 1981 demo of "Burning Up." Not a re-recording.
  16. That's the 1981 demo of Burning Up. Autotune didn't exist until 1996/97.
  17. Most things are shot either 1.85:1 or 2.35:1. Both are 16:9 ratios. Since most tvs are 1.77:1, a lot of stuff is slightly zoomed in to fill the screen if shot at 1.85:1. You'll usually only get black bars if it's shot at 2.35:1 Both are 16:9 fyi
  18. 1) I didn’t miss your follow up post. I was responding to your original post and I quoted you directly (“P+ has more subscribers than Amazon”). That is a false claim. Full stop. Period. 2) Your claim that “some Prime members don’t even realize they have streaming access” is a personal anecdote and not necessarily a fact. 3) I agree. It’s not a big deal. I’ll watch it wherever it’s streaming. I’m excited to see the show regardless.
  19. This is verifiability incorrect and not even close to reality. Amazon has 119 million subscribers JUST in the United States. 200 million globablly. Paramount + has about 36 million TOTAL around the world. 20. I told y’all a few pages back to lower your expectations
  21. Has no one mentioned the fact that the video is going to be playing in Times Square tonight?
  22. To be fair to you I just rewatched it. It wasn’t as bad as I recall from watching it in 2016 but it was definitely messy.
  23. No where did I say “she didn’t intend for them to see what it is.” What I suggested was lowering expectations based off the fan frenzy of this thread.
