    I can't help but think she was in a bad place at the time with the whole Rocco incident maybe she doesn't want to be reminded of the time so hence the DVD will be cancelled

    Well I've said this before, I agree. But not about the DVD being cancelled. I don't think Tears of a Clown will be released based on the dark times she was in when she created it. The Rebel Heart tour was huge, tears of a clown was small and personal.

    But the difference is the hype. It isn't 2013 anymore... where all the bitches were ripping their hearts out to get some headlines and sell records. Anyway, I really doubt Madonna's worried about overshadowing others' releases or being the subject of it, ain't that Gaga's main publicity style? LOL M's on a whole different league  :lol:

     

    You're right. Personally, I don't see a release of a tour dvd to be a huge deal to the public or charts for any artist. It's not like its a new album or new material. So if she decided to release it along with other artists releasing new albums, I think it would be easy for the RHT to go unnoticed. I suppose its all about promotion. If there is hype around a live broadcast, then it would last maybe as long as the promotion of the show, and then end.

    She pulled out Mer Girl for TOAC. #NeverForget  :hearteyes: and that version was MAGIC.

     

     

    The only problem with TOAC was the lack of rehearsal. She had the lyrics printed right there but she didn't remember how the songs went, it was funny that it was unpolished (in a good way, natural and spontaneous) but this will probably mean she won't release the show for the GP. I hope portions of it will be released at least, or that she'll resurrect the idea of doing amazing album tracks for a conceptual mini tour in the future. It just gave me so much life, her look was great too, loved her eyebrows, very Erotica-era. I feel like a lot could be done with it, but since she did it at a sad time in her life who knows if she even wants to revisit it? :sad:

     

     

    But anyways it has nothing to do with RH so we shouldn't bash one using the other. They're 2 very different things. Like if you dont care about RH then OK but we are waiting for the DVD. Having that doesn't mean we won't have other things also.  :wink:

     

    Mer Girl... that was so touching... As much as I really hope TOAC gets a physical or digital release, I'm quite sceptical.  I'd like to think that the only reason TOAC seems so quickly put together was Madonna's immense sadness she was feeling at that time.  That was a dark time for her, and it really showed during the RHT.  She was exhausted, voice completely shot and gone.  She just didn't seem as present as we've previously seen her. Listening to the Tokyo soundboards, it's quite evident that her family troubles took a huge impact on her professional life. For our sake, I hope we do see some form of release.  But i'm not holding my breath, seeing as I don't think M would want to go back to that tough time that inspired TOAC. Maybe I'm nuts. I can't wait for the dvd!!!

    #5 for me is different. I first listened to Madonna when I was 3 and my parents used to play all 3 cassettes until Like A Prayer came out. So I have equal love for them :)

    :oi: After RIT she KNOWS that it's a bad idea not to release a tour on DVD. Just keep waiting y'all. It will be with us when it's ready k.

    I agree that it'll be ready when it's ready, and I'm quite content with that :). But to say that she KNOWS it's a bad idea to not release a tour DVD, that is absolutely BANANAS!! I don't think she thought twice about whether to release that tour or not. And the choice was no. A big sad no :( and BAT too. Big fat NO. :( oh M... Listen to us, HEAR US. Hehehe I'm just kidding :) xo

    I don't think they'll add any unseen footage. M herself has said those tapes are currently lost. also, I think, if they add new footage, they would be promoting the hell out of this with a worldwide release.

    I LOVE how they say lost. I have a feeling they keep close tabs on everything she's done. As an artist, I feel like she would. If they keep old tapes of the roast of Lucille Ball, then the blond ambition tapes are quite secure and kept in a vault somewhere in my eyes. I smell bull shit
