What is it? Is it cause M is more successful and is the most successful female artist in history? Like you said, is it because she represents all what most artists and their fanbases couldn't have achieved but are trying to? Why doesn't she get this general "respect" like what Cher gets? Ugh it's just all an enigma. But maybe it's better this way. Resistance keeps M alive and active; otherwise she is a withering carcass.

not all milleanials some of us actually love people like madonna and people who we werent alive to see but we research bc we are truly interested lmao. Ive been a fan of M for like 15 years and bette for like 10+, thankfully with the internet you can learn a lot

but people are still sexist as fuck so they treat women stereotypically. madonna has been painted by a lot of media as a difficult person with no talent for decades so that impression stuck with a lot of young people who havent done their research and people dismiss her legacy. the same thing happened to these hollywood women who were pioneers, complex and ballsy as hell. Its sad but some of us still champion them for the icons they are.
